I am a long time customer of Daniels Plumbing. I have had the very best of experiences with them. Over the years, they have replaced my main sewer line, installed main valve in tub, solved many other plumbing issues, and replaced my AC/Furnace (when they were in the business of also doing that - no longer sadly). They have always been very trustworthy and fair. I have not had to worry about them telling me something needed fixing that really didn't, and it is always quality work and a good value for the cost. We've had very mixed results with Daniels Plumbing based on the technician they sent. Our first call in May great; the tech explained exactly what we needed. The second call in October to fix our leaky shower left it in an unusable state with a drifting handle. The tech's response was that it was because the new cartridge had better lubrication and we needed to buy a knob without a handle. This same setup is working in our other bathroom so we got a second opinion and are now having the repair repaired by a different company. read more

This is the 2nd time I've had to use Daniels Plumbing and again they have a happy customer. I first used them in December the day of a Saturday family Christmas party that I almost had to cancel because of a tub faucet failure and water running nonstop at full blast. They were able to come fast and I was able to have the party. This time another shower failed and same thing water wouldn't stop and for a family of 6 no water is a disaster. I called the next day and they sent Hunter again with someone and they replaced and fixed the issue and I had them go ahead and preemptively fix the other two so they don't break soon. They were here within the hour and fixed everything in 30-45 minutes and everything turns like brand new! I hope to never need them again but as a homeowner I know things will break. Thought my day was going to be bad. I was up in attic and stepped on a pipe and broke it, had water leaking out called another plumber I have used in the past but they could not get here till next week. I looked up next closet plumber and founded Daniel's I called and within 25 minutes had an appointment set up Mr Michael Craig showed up and identified the problem, it not water pipe of any sort just the 2nd drain for hot water tray, he gave estimate since the pipes been patched in the past with wrong size of pipe, we discussed it and declined the repair at this time. Didn't bother showing up for scheduled appointment, didn't call with any updates. Customer service says she's the only one in the office and she would have gotten to it eventually. Technician called, went into 10 minutes of detail about the job he was on but couldn't/wouldn't tell me what time he would be arriving. I arranged my day to be home during the scheduled appointment. Tomball Tx - Not sure why it says California. Have been using Daniels Plumbing for the last 7 months for an ongoing issue at our office. ( Moving out of the building asap as it is a lease) We have called them out, one to two times or more a month due to drainage backup. Performing a "Hydro Stop Jet" each time. Daniels plumbing has charged us over 2000.00 each visit, totaling about 20,000.00. Today we decided to have a different plumber come out to give us a quote. let me just say I was completely disgusted when I got the price today for the same service. Not even a quarter of what Daniels Plumbing has been charging a repeat customer every month. The new company not only charged us a quarter of what Daniels Plumbing was charging us but warrantied their work for 90 days. Daniels Plumbing has a place on its website whereby one can email them, give a brief description of the problem, and ask for a quote. I did this and received an email back which read "We would be happy to come out and give you an estimate. We like to come out and look at this before we give an estimate." I called and was told there would be a charge of $80 for an estimate but would be waived if I had them do the work. The woman on the phone complained that the company had spent so much money on time and gas going out and giving estimates. Can anyone see through this $80 charge for an estimate? One is faced with a "take it or leave it estimate" which is no doubt higher than others and, therefore, loses $80 to these characters. I noticed that the stellar reviews the company has been receiving has dropped off within the last year probably as a result of this "estimate charge." read more

Be warned on labor and material price gauging. This company does not know how to bill properly. They claim that their labor cost are a flat rate and wont not tell you their hourly rate for a job. In my case I called them to repair a small leak and they charged $900.00; this is the most expensive in history. Here is what they replaced. One ball valve and 2 feet of PVC, time spent was 30 minutes. This does not add up to a $900 repair bill. I called the company for further explanation spoke with Tanner and he could not explain the cost.. all he said was that is our price structure and kept repeating this. In other words, no clue. My shower handle broke in the middle of the night while the water was running. I attempted to fix it my self and only made matters worse. My wife called Daniels Plumbing, and within an hour Tim Wade was at my door. Not only did he get everything repaired and reassembled, he educated me on what I could do next time. RIPOFF 50 gal. water heater went bad. Daniels quoted ~ $3200 to replace heater. This was beginning of Labor Day weekend. Old water heater wouldn't be removed until Tuesday. As plumber was disconnecting old heater, I called my son who is a journeyman plumber in another city. He said price was too high. M y son advised me to have him finish disconnecting heater and looping hot and cold water lines and close out the ticket. All in all the technician put in two hours labor. He said he needed to go purchase a pump for the water in the drip tray. He closed out the ticket charging $689. I told my son what the tech did and how much he charged. He was pissed. I called the office to dispute the charge. I was told it's a flat rate and they don't charge by the hour. The $689 was not itemized. I don't know if that price included the pump. If so he took the pump with him. I don't know if he charged the $60 fee for not having them install the new heater. By all the other one star ratings for Daniels Plumbing its my belief Daniels doesn't care how people feel and they'll continue to rip people off because they can. read more

I was told they could have someone out the same day which I greatly appreciated. I received a text with the name of the plumber who was coming and that he was on his way. I will never use this plumber ever again. Talk about price gouging... They came to my house and to fix 2 toilets. The tech quoted $1400 for an all day job. He was done in an hour and a half and said it was easier than he originally thought but he still had to charge me for a whole day because that is how they charge, but gave me a $200 discount. Big Deal! The owner never called me back and that is just bad business. Then we had the problem with the Houston freeze. They estimated $485 PER LEAK! We paid in advance. Some of the work was never completed and some was done wrong. We had to pay another plumbing company to come out and fix Daniel's plumbings work...costing $2,400. I spoke several times with the supervisor, Chris who agreed they owed us $1,000. But then came back a few days later changing the prices on the original bid! The first of February, prior to the freeze, my 83 yr old neighbor called Daniels Plumbing for a leaking toilet. It needed a new wax ring. The plumber talked her into replacing the toilet, as well as both of her old, but functioning hot water heaters. He charged her $5000 to replace the hot water heaters, saying, "I will throw in the new toilet." Please note that, during the freeze, I had two hot water heaters replaced in my house due to freeze damage for $2400. (Mine were more difficult to replace, since they had to go up pull down attic stairs). I did not use Daniels Plumbing. According to the price i paid for my heaters, my neighbor's "free toilet" cost her $2600. One excuse for the delay was getting a carpenter (plumber's choice) to replace a short baseboard, which was removed to check for water damage. Meanwhile, she has had an open sewer line for six weeks, with only a couple of towels stuffed in the opening. When she complained to me of the smell, I knew this was not healthy for an 83 year old woman with severe allergies, to be breathing. My husband and I attempted to temporarily cover the sewer opening for her. My neighbor continues to call Daniels, and keeps getting a future date to have the toilet replaced. Not only was the price more than double what other companies charged, even during a crisisan elderly woman with medical issues, should not be exposed to an open sewer line in her house for six weeks. Decide for yourself if this was a case of taking advantage of an elderly lady, price-gouging, and total disregard for her health. Please note: The latest appointment was for 8:00 this morning.
