He is…read morealso incorrect on what was wrong with sink, which comes as no surprise to me after experiencing the quality of their work. 1. They were consistently late, even with a big windows of time 2. Installation of my sink was faulty 3. Even though it was their faulty installation that caused the issue, they wanted to charge me additional money to finish the job. Now ultimately, I reached out to another repair person I had trusted in the past, but wasn't aware they did plumbing. They came out and took a look and realized these guys installed piping that was the wrong size. He went out, got the piping, installed it and charged me a whopping $35. Now, that's still $35 more than I should have paid if these guys did their jobs correctly., but a lot less than the minimum $150 they would've charged me to do the wrong repair (a reminder, they wanted to do the wrong repair here, they were totally off base on the issue). Another thing I didn't mention in the first part of my review is that during the initial installation, they claimed they need to add additional support in order to secure the sink. Seemed reasonable at the time (I'm not a plumbing expert) and maybe I did actually need it. However, the prior sink stood securely for several years without issue. Knowing what I know now, I wouldn't be surprised if it was wholly unnecessary. The repair also required me to go find my own dry wall guy and such to fix up these supposed necessary fixes, which was, more money. It seems like they may be one of those types of companies that gives you a low quote at first and then finds ways to nickle and dime you (and by nickle and dime, I mean 100-200 additional dollars for each thing they think up). Now they have a good rating here on yelp, but if you check google reviews, you'll see they have a pretty low rating compared to other plumbers in the area. Normally, I would've done this, but as a busy parent, I just can't do the due diligence I once did. I cannot recommend this company. I would recommend the Heights Handyman if you live in the Heights or nearby areas. They are reliable, cost effective, full service, and trustworthy.

The Carl Skelly of Skelly Plumbing was called out to install a shower trim set including valve and…read morehand sprayer. When he arrived I was told that no credit for the $175.00 trip charge would be given toward the cost of doing the work. In other words, I would owe them for the trip charge even if I elected to do the work. This is very unusual from any other service vendor I have ever used. They always remove the trip charge if the work is done. Now that I was into them for the excessive trip charge, I was told that the installation of the shower trim would be almost $1.000.00 and that did not include the trim parts which I already owned. I should have sent him on his way and cut my losses but I regretfully allowed him to do the work. After he finished the water pressure was very poor and he told me that the parts might be defective and to call Moen the manufacturer. Not wanting to ever see Carl Skelly again, I called another plumber out to take a look at the problem. He completely disassembled the shower trim and removed 3 flow restrictors and screens (which I asked Skelly to remove) and put it all back together. The water pressure is better than ever now. Skelly Plumbing is a ripoff and takes advantage of their customers by charging an excessive non refundable trip charge. The work was unsatisfactory and this "expert" plumber didn't even know how to remove the flow restrictors to allow useable water flow volume. Buyer beware!!!

A couple nights ago (Friday before 4th of July weekend, of course), the kitchen sink started to back up. It wasn't just a bit slow, it was pretty much unusable. I'm pretty sure I heard it laugh at me when I poured Drano down it. It did nothing. They responded quickly and were able to come out on Sunday. Boy, I'm glad they did! They pulled out so much gunk out of the pipes! I forget the name of the plumber that came out, but I appreciate his dedication towards ensuring we didn't need to have them come out again. He snaked the pipes almost all the way to the outside of the house, clearing out what was assuredly years of gross build up! We'll totally use them again if we have any other plumbing problems. I'd highly recommend them!
