I was able to speak to Derek the optician and he helped me choose the right frames and lenses best for my particular prescription. All in all it was a very pleasant and straightforward experience using the website to upload my information. Got the glasses pretty quickly and they fit great. Very satisfied. Daniel Walters is a prescription based business for glasses. I used the online service to order a pair of glasses for my son. When I received multiple messages to confirm information, in which this morning I tried to confirm the order was being fulfilled in which the owner escalating an argument to prevent from manufacturing the paid for items, just now I tried again to reason with the individual whom just kept getting more angry, then called me repeatedly until i blocked this number. Is this antisemitic behavior ? You be the judge . Don't know what ethnic background the individual is but when I noticed a thick accent and asking him if he new English or did he misunderstood something I said, he became furious. This company is a complete scam. After placing an order for eyewear they claimed the units were out of stock (despite showing as in-stock in their website then, and daily since then) - it took nearly 4 months' of sending emails and chasing them before I finally received the pair. Then the shocker was that the eyewear that was delivered had a logo printed right in the middle of the lens, totally obstructing the view and making them useless. After Googling it turns out this is typical of demo glasses. This company is a total scam. Luckily I paid with Amex so I am able to claim for a refund directly with them. My experience was the complete opposite of the previous reviewer. I ordered three pairs of glasses, two for myself and a third for my eleven year old. I wasn't quite sure what to expect because between the low prices and then the additional first time buyer discount, for nearly the same price that I had spent on one pair of glasses at another store I was ordering an identical pair, plus two more and one of those had transition lenses. There was a problem because our prescriptions that I attached to our order didn't have our pupil distance measurements. Derek Izaac and I exchanged several emails and phone calls until they had all the information needed for our order, then he upgraded our shipping to overnight to make-up for any delay we might have experienced. Even with the delay I had all three pairs in seven business days. The best part is that we both love our new glasses. Well at least I love my new glasses. My daughter is eleven going on twelve and won't admit to loving anything lately, but she says doesn't hate them which for her these days is about the highest praise you can get. read more

I had a specific and old frame in mind and I noticed their website had unusually high discounts on it compared to other websites. I should've checked these reviews before ordering, but here's my story. When I ordered, I'm fairly sure that Derek Izaac processed it. It was the holidays, so I expected some delays. Eventually, the delays were long enough that I realized they wouldn't be able to ship it to my current address in time before I relocated. I called him to update the shipping address before they ship the glasses and he offered to call me before they ship it. He wrote the note in but later on, it was shipped without a phone call to me, and to the old address. I called back to tell them they messed up and to switch the address if possible, as they didn't notify me (like they failed with the other reviewers Stuart B and GB C.) and he said "he'll try to fix it", and didn't attempt an apology. He never fixed it and it arrived to the old address. At that point I got my family to send it back to their company as I was no longer there and I would be unable to receive the glasses from my family in time to try them out and replace/refund within the return window. So I called Derek back, and we agreed on the return/refund process. My family sent it back. A week goes by, I hear nothing but I knew the package arrived to them. I was suspicious as the days to process my refund went past their expected time to process, so I called again but a young woman picked the phone up instead. He was peeping over the phone, which implied to me that they have a very small team that runs this thing (or he lets his kids/relatives run it). He took the phone and acted like we were having this conversation for the first time and "he called me yesterday" (my phone log didn't show anything) to make sure of what I wanted to do (credit/exchange), EVEN when when we agreed a week ago for only a refund-no exchange or store credit. Ok, so maybe he forgot? We again, agreed for the refund and he said he'll process it that day (Friday) or Monday. Nothing happened, so I called after Monday and now he was saying "he wasn't at work and he was in the hospital for surgery". That sounds like a convenient thing to say after I complain about a refund for the 3rd time (if he's not at work, why do my calls go right to him and not anyone else? Would he be using these excuses if I said I wanted to order 200 glasses?) Then he says he'll really try to get it done today. Nothing happened again, so I called the day after and he again made the same excuses. He seemed like he was waiting for me to give him slack for his "surgery" while I was still waiting for my refund for the 2 weeks that he pushed it off, so I wasn't having it and I told him to do it now. He finally did it, and called me back in a few minutes to confirm it. Notice how quick it took for this to happen, like a few buttons he had to hit. "Surgery" shouldn't prevent you from granting such quick refunds at "work" when you can still pick up phone calls and somehow process it from "home". Clearly, he or someone else could've done this much earlier and I suspect he was being dishonest. If I had never called, I guarantee they would've just kept my returned glasses and never refunded me. Don't be tricked by sleazy salespeople like Derek Izaac. Perhaps he's done quality services for his other customers as per these reviews, but this guy is desperate for your money. I learned my lesson...go take your business at Zenni's or some other reputable and established brand, not this sketchy business. read more
