I'm not sure what the quality of the dentistry is but the office manager, Stevie, is a very rude and mean person. I was trying to coordinate an urgen appointment with them because my dentist of record had actually recommended them as a back up. They gave me the runaround because they were more worried about stepping on that other dentist toes even though I'd been fully transparent with them that my dentist of record knew, When I got frustrated and expressed that frustration their office manager got on the phone with me yelled at me, and then hung up on me after speaking over me repeatedly. I am going to file a complaint with a dental board but I'm putting a review here as well. You're better off signing another dental office because their management is far from professional and lacks empathy. read more

I'm going to add to this line up of stellar reviews and if I could put 10 stars on mine, I would!!! Dr. Freeman has been my elderly mother's dentist for years. My mother has always appreciated the wonderful, pleasant, attentive staff and the incredible work of Dr. Freeman!! He went over the top though this weekend!!!! My mother is bedridden and cannot make it to the dentist. Dr. Freeman graciously offered to come to her bedside to help her with a bad toothache, her dental record in hand, his tools, the fancy glasses, etc. How gentle and patient he is, taking extra care to listen to all my mom's needs. He is the GREATEST DENTIST in the world as far as I am concerned!!! My mom is so relieved and out of pain!!! He's practically a hero with this one!!! read more

Dr. Freeman has been my dentist from before I can remember and has always been great. The hygienists in the office are super friendly and remember you from your last visit. The most notable thing about Dr. Freeman's office is his commitment to his patients' care-- it is truly outstanding. Over the years I've called him several times during off-business hours regarding tooth emergencies, and he is always prompt to answer his cell phone and accommodating in scheduling emergency appointments. I would highly recommend Dr. Freeman's office to people of all ages, and especially any family with young kids. read more

I have a lot of dentists, periodontists and oral surgeons, and I make the rounds when I'm in the US to get all my dental work done. Dr. Freeman is my mom's dentist and he squeezed me in because my regular doc, Dr. Kirby, who is also great (but alas, no gas) was out of town, it being Memorial Day Weekend and all, last minute - oh so last minute - on a Friday before I left the States on Saturday, and by the afternoon my emergency was all taken care of. It required the help of no less than 3 dentists. Now I'm back and he's finishing up what I didn't have time for last round. I pretty much love all my dental docs, and Dr. Freeman is no exception. He listens and accommodates you whenever possible. Great staff, great office, competent and courteous and just plain NICE. Oh - and I don't know what this L.R. of San Anselmo (who has my initials...) is thinking- the bookkeeper is exceptionally professional and also kind - I know this from personal experience when I was having a bad day and, was, er, irritable. She didn't hold it against me. Not to mention they did all my work and when my payment was held up didn't harass me about it, and waited a number of months for it without charging me interest. To say that the bookkeeper is incompetent is simply petty, and has no validity whatsoever. read more

I never thought I'd write a yelp review for a dentist, but I have to. Last Friday my mom did a face plant fall and broke her false tooth and who knows what else. I called on Saturday to leave a message and hope to get in to see the doctor on Monday. However he has an emergency contact number that I called and asked if he could call me to discuss mom and to find out what else I should do. Well he said he was going to be in his office on Sunday and to come by!!! So we went there and he examined my mom. Thankfully she didn't do anything to damage her mouth. The relief I felt was really nice. I can't put into words how much that meant to me. I cannot recommend Dr. Freeman and his office more. Everyone there are just the best. Do not hesitate to go see them for any dental care. read more

Dr. Freeman is wonderful and his staff are great. All highly skilled and easy to interact with. The best thing about the place....All the patient rooms look out onto a garden area where there are many squirells that live there. There are squirell feeders by each window and the squirells play 10 feet in front of you. It is so fun and relaxing while you wait for the doc to come in. I don't have dental insureance and they have been wonderful in terms of helping get only what I really need and helping me prioritize my concerns. I would recommend them over all other docs that I have seen in Marin....maybe even all I have seen in my life :) read more

Ok - I hate going to the dentist - even for teeth cleaning, but I do go at least twice a year. After a few pretty bad dentist experiences (which I will not bore you with here) a co-worker of my husbands recommended Dr. Freeman a few years ago - I went and never looked back! I LOVE Barry for my teeth cleaning - he is great and gentle. The front office staff is always friendly and greets you like you are family. BUT what is really impressive is that they NEVER try to sell you something that you do not need. If you don't need x-rays or fillings they would never make it up and tell you that you do - which many dentists do. One year I had a bad toothache right before going on my honeymoon and thought I needed a root canal - they took me in last minute and Dr. Freeman did all these tests on me and said that all my symptoms I described sounded like root canal - but that all the tests did not confirm this. He told me to go home, take a day off, get a massage to de-stress and take an Advil and that he thought it was just stress and a pinched nerve, and if that did not work we would get it taken care of before I left for my honey moon. So I did what he said and it worked like a charm - amazing! I never had problems with a toothache again and I completely trust him now! Not only is he honest - but he also is a kind, warm man that truly cares about his patients and not his pocketbook. read more

Ditto the positive review on Dr. Freeman and his staff. We have referred many friends and family to him. His hygienists are high competent--after not going to the dentist for many years, I go three times a year now and actually look forward to going! They have made me a believer in flossing and, in helping me develop good habits, my visits are far more enjoyable. What's great, too, is that Dr. Freeman accepts most insurance, so you shouldn't have to change dentists if your dental plan changes. As I've had four different dental plans, this has been a huge benefit. read more

I saw Dan Freeman today for two teeth that had partially broken. He seemed friendly & pleasant at first and then became very condescending, unprofessional & rude. I had been seeing our Family Internist & then an Ear Nose & Throat Doctor, for about 5 weeks with an ear ache that wouldn't go away & they didn't know why. Both Doctors thought it was ultimately my two cracked teeth in the far back side of my mouth, that was causing the ear pain. Both teeth and ear on the same side. After I told him of some bad dental work I had done in 2015 with an associate of his he became annoyed, condescending & rude. He re-diagnosed my ear pain relating it to my frozen shoulder which our Internist just told me wasn't the case. She prescribed antibiotics for an infection in my teeth. I do not recommend anyone go see this doctor. read more

I've been a patron of the Freeman practice for almost 10 years. I consider my relationship with this practice monogamous, i would never leave for another practice. Is this a good review? No, its going to be a great review. I recently went in for my long overdue teeth cleaning, which until now i've habitually dreaded - more so than Bob Marley would his hair. The latex hands that commandeered my mouth were those of Sarah Dabner, a promising rookie fresh out of Hygiene school. Picture Kobe in the 4th quarter, and Sarah McLaughlin's voice, coming together as one. That's how I would describe the gracious dexterity of the swimmingly trained Sarah Dabner. Should you require a hygienic oral servicing, request Sarah, she works Monday and Friday. Make it happen. read more

I love this office. I recommend this dentist to families in the area. The office staff is great, the hygienists are all great (I especially like Irene). They are thorough, the views from the exam rooms can't be beat, and the looping soundtrack is even pretty good. When I was a kid I saw the same dentist for twenty years, and I feel comfortable sending my kids to Dr. Freeman all the way through college. I had my first visit to Dr. Freeman today. I wanted to switch dentists because I just felt that mine had gotten a little lax and sloppy. Dr. Freeman is great! I love how thorough he is and I love that I can watch him work with the mirror. The hygienist was also fabulous. I had previously been dreading cleanings because of my sensitive teeth but Vanita (sp?) really took her time with me to make me comfortable. The reception staff was also flawless. read more

I have been to many, many dentists over the years and had only three good ones. It's amazing how bad dentists can be and you don't really notice until you get a good one. I have my bit screwed up over and over again, I have had fillings that aren't smooth, I have seen my children writhe in pain under the drill more than once. NONE of this is a problem with Daniel Freemen. Dr. Freeman is the first and ONLY dentist who has given me a filling that was completely pain free. I didn't even know that was POSSIBLE. Not only that, but I didn't even have pain during the novacaine injection - I didn't know THAT was possible, either! Amazing! My son and I both have this deal where it takes the novacaine a LONG time to kick in, and we need a lot of it in just the right place. Dr. Freeman listens when you tell him something and deals with it. If you raise your hand to let him know it hurts, he doesn't expect you to deal with it, white-knuckled and sweating, but, instead, stops, gives you more novacaine, and waits for it to kick in. And he doesn't get irritable about it. And the work he does is solid. He has a very good grip on projecting how things will go in a line of work where things aren't always predictable - teeth and their connection to the body can actually be tricky at times. Dr. Freemean is AMAZING. He's taken very, very good care of me and my kids. Fantastic staff, too. read more

I love this office. Each time I go there I feel comfortable and know I am getting excellent treatment. I never feel they are trying to sell me services I don't need, such as a crown when all I need is a filling. Dr. Freeman is conscientious, patient, and extremely skilled to the point of being an artist. He gives options for treatment, explaining all pros, cons and costs. Dr. Freeman has a connection to the local lacrosse league and provides mouth-guards at a reasonable fee and has his staff go the field to do the initial impressions. We have also been to the office and it is well run. Nice to see a community minded dentist! read more
