Dr. Goldstein, on the other hand, eased my son into the appt and had him lie down on top of my husband while he held him. There was no screaming or crying! My son even said "I got this" as she looked at his teeth. It was a world of difference and I appreciate it so much! It was such a relief after dreading dentist appointments with our son.

Dentistry, and they were willing to see me right away. And this is no small gesture from a practice that, from what I understand, is not taking any new patients. Dr. Goldstein took good care of me, diagnosed the situation, devised a plan of attack, and prescribed a course of action. This involved removal of the tooth which meant her spending time to find a dental surgeon who could see me the next day. Which she did. All of this "going the extra mile" care for someone who is not a patient only shows the level of care her regular patients experience every time they see her. Many thanks to Dr. Goldstein and staff for their time and care for this hobbled traveler. You guys are the best!

I have been a customer of Dentistry of Fairfax for OVER 30 years. Makenna Vierck bought the practice and I did at least two check ups with her and one "emergency" visit where it was suggested I have one of my wisdom teeth removed - which I did at a separate and very expensive place they recomended. Recently they suggested I have another wisdom tooth removed, and when I went to the new dentist to have this done, they discovered that a) the xrays supplied by Dentistry of Fairfax were not done correctly. When they were redone, he found I need to have a specialist do the removal due to the proximity of the root to my nasal passage. b) he informed me that the Invisalign was not done properly and the wear patterns indicated the whole process did nothing to help my problem. Of course I informed Dr. Viercks office of this, and when I went in for my LAST cleaning recently, the doctor brushed by me in the lobby - she obviously heard I was considering going to a different dentist because of all this - no hello, not a single attempt to fix the problem or offer any advice on anything to help. After the cleaning I asked the people in the office if they have anything to offer that might keep me coming back after all this. Basically. they shrugged their shoulders - said they understood my frustration and said they would talk to the doctor. Since then crickets... You would think they might have told me the invalign procedure didn't help and needs to be re-done, or got a complete xray and recognized the other problem - but they didn't. Sad after over 30 years with the same office. In a nutshell I would suggest finding a dentist that actually cares about your oral health - and not just the money, which is exactly the way I felt as I walked out of there for the last time.

Today I find they have arbitrarily canceled the appointment. The dentist was awaiting an ok from my physician to move forward with dental work. I called Red Hill Dental yesterday (my appointment was for Monday at 11am) and left a message to say I had sent my doctor another email for confirmation. I received this confirmation this morning and was going to bring to my appointment on Monday (on my phone). To just cancel the appointment was unprofessional and shoddy customer service.

WARNING! SLEAZY SCAM! I got a card in the mail from Red…read moreHill Dental with two adjacent coupons on it. One had a $99 "new patient offer" for an exam and consultation, x-rays, cleaning and oral cancer screening. Beside it was another for "free teeth whitening with completed adult new patient exam, cleaning and x-rays". Sounds pretty good, right? So I made an appointment and showed up today at noon. Almost the first thing out of the receptionist's mouth was, "You'll be getting a cleaning today. Fill this and this out." I asked about the X-rays. He said (I think) the dentist would do PARTIAL X-rays IF she saw a need for them. I've been to a bunch of dentists and have never had less than a full-mouth X-ray at the first appointment. Have you? I asked about the teeth whitening. He said that didn't come with the deal. I pointed out what the coupon said. With some relish, he showed me the very fine print at the bottom on both coupons: "With this coupon. Not valid with other offers or prior treatment. Limited time offer." In other words, if you consider each coupon separate offers (I did not), it is impossible to get the "free teeth whitening", since 1) you have to have completed the exam, cleaning, and X-rays to get the whitening, after which you have used up the "other offer" and can't get the whitening any more. Catch-22. The more I heard, the more outraged I got. What I was getting was a $99 cleaning, not a great deal, with POSSIBLE PARTIAL X-rays. I didn't hear anything about the exam at all. A good exam takes some time to go tooth by tooth, usually with the dentist dictating and someone else taking notes. I am a careful reader, but whatever lawyer/sleazebag came up with this no-win deal scammed me and anyone else who responded. I told the receptionist that it was false advertising and said that Yelp would be hearing about this. I slammed the door behind me, went to my car, then went back to get the card I had left so I could be accurate about the details. The receptionist had torn it up, but gave me the pieces and asked me not to slam the door. I left and slammed the door again. I would never go to this dentist. If I can't get in the door without being misled, who knows what overpriced, unnecessary, and/or incompetent treatment might await?

Here's a breakdown of my visit: Outdated Technology: One of the first things I noticed was that the dental technology at the clinic seemed outdated. In today's dental field, the use of modern equipment and technology can significantly improve the quality of care and patient comfort. However, it appeared that Red Hill Dental may not have kept up with the latest advancements. Issues with Filling: My primary reason for visiting Dr. Liza Fartash was to get a filling on a molar tooth. Regrettably, the job was not done well. After the procedure, I started experiencing persistent pain, which I hadn't had before. When I returned to the clinic to address the issue, Dr. Fartash informed me that I needed to see an endodontist, which was concerning. Extended Pain and Infection: Following the referral, I endured two months of excruciating pain. This was a stark contrast to my initial visit, during which I had no pain. To make matters worse, I had to take antibiotics because the tooth became infected. It was disheartening to see my oral health deteriorate instead of improving after a dental procedure. Second Opinion: Eventually, I decided to seek a second opinion from a different endodontist, not the one Dr. Fartash had referred me to. To my dismay, this second endodontist confirmed that the infection in my tooth was a direct result of the poorly executed filling job performed at Red Hill Dental. In conclusion, my experience with Dr. Liza Fartash at Red Hill Dental was far from satisfactory. The outdated technology, coupled with the subpar filling procedure and the subsequent complications, left me with a prolonged period of pain and discomfort. I believe that a dentist's primary responsibility is to ensure the well-being of their patients, and in this case, it fell short of the mark.
