I returned this week for a tooth extraction with a bone graft and will return again in several months for another implant. The tooth extraction was pain free with no complications. To be honest this was the best experience from a bad experience I've ever had in my life. Losing a tooth is always unexpected and always at a bad time, but thank God I got a second opinion and met w/ Dr. Mynsberge, soon as he said hello I was sold book it. He's a very skilled oral surgeon who knows exactly what he's doing. He's also pretty funny. The entire office staff made me feel really comfortable I was def freaking out. I had ZERO pain post op, couldn't believe it. I def thought I be asking for more pain meds but nope. Had surgery on Friday was back at work Wednesday. I had several follow up questions and concerns and they were always answered promptly. I am so happy that I went with Dr. Mynsberge straight up guy who knows what he's doing. Hopefully I don't have to experience this again, but if I do I'll def be coming back. P.S. please follow their surgical instructions, this guy in line before me said he ate breakfast that morning so he was rescheduled like come on dude Oh, and if you're complaining about how long it takes and another place said they'll get the abutment in 2 weeks after post op, just run. You want to wait longer so there's good bone to screw osseointegration for long term implant success. I'm no dr, but I'm no dummy to know that much! read more

Dr. Yang was incredible - from pre op consultation, to operation day. I'm 36 and long overdue for my wisdom teeth extraction. I came with a ton of questions and some anxiety which Dr, Yang was able to address and put me at ease. Given my age, the recovery was supposed to be pretty rough, but I can tell you that I experienced ZERO pain or discomfort during or after recovery. Doctor Mynsberge is the best dentist I've ever had (he's more than a dentist, he's a skilled surgeon ). He takes his time explaining things and never makes you feel rushed. And His office staff is outstanding. I went in a couple of weeks ago for eight extractions,, which requires the kind of anesthesia that erases any memory of the experience. I was nervous because i'd never had multiple extractions in one sitting and they had sent me all kinds of literature warning about swelling, bleeding, pain and nausea, which I guess are all common side effects/results of this kind of surgery. So I was both amazed and relieved when I had NONE of these side effects. No swelling bleeding pain or nausea. Of course your mileage may vary but this guy really knows what he's doing. It is, frankly, thrilling to find someone this accomplished and skilled. read more

A perfect experience. I place him on my "Highly Trusted-Recommended" list.I was referred here by my endodontist to treat a cracked tooth. I was in incredible pain. Immediately entering I was made comfortable. Difficult, as we were all "shelter in place" except these local heroes that stay open for emergencies. And mine totally qualified. They got me in within 3 hours of notification. I was greeted at the front desk by a very nice receptionist who made sure all my paperwork and insurance were in order. I needed those extra set of eyes to find the stuff I missed as the pain was driving my brain at the time. I met his wonderful assistant Jennifer whom has a great calming effect on sickies like me. Within minutes, she put me at ease, and told how the doctor knows his trade inside and out. I kept hearing stories from everyone, even the neighbors how he has aided family members. Without the specific details, I took my place in the chair. The Doctor put me at ease with his great sense of humor, then numbed me up, and then the wait. I elected local numbing only. When I was fully numbed Dr. Mynsberge returned and began. The tooth was out with little effort in under 3 minutes. Impressive. And it was painless. Until that point the pain was almost unbearable. Do not see Matthew Mynsberge. He is there to sale you a surgery or anconsult for surgery. His website says he treats TMJ disorders. He referred me to a TMJ specialist instead. He told me I was a candidate for surgery and then refused me surgery. He took a cone beam scan and told me to have my PCP figure out if I had oral pathologies that would impede surgery. I would not recommend him for a consult let alone to perform surgery. read more

Dr. Ruggles is one of the best dentists I've been to. An old crown on a front tooth that had a root canal fell out, there was no tooth material left below the gum, and the root had to be extracted. Despite great nervousness about the procedure, Dr. Ruggles and his assistant were phenomenal. They talked me through the pre- and post- extraction, the procedure was fast, with only a little discomfort, and the follow-up was awesome. I only needed a small amount of pain medication the first day and a half, and it took about two weeks to heal to the point where I had no residual pain at all. Thank you, Dr. Ruggles! read more

Let's face it, no one jumps for joy when it comes to dental surgery (LOL) however, when you have an issue, being in the hands of someone you Trust is essential as not all dental practitioners are great. In fall of 2019, I discovered I needed a Gum Graft after an infection I had in a root canal (by a different dentist) returned. First of all, gum grafts are major surgery and the notion of grafting either artificial or animal tissue into my gums left me with anxiety and tons of questions regarding safety, side affects and/or potential issues long term. I consulted with Dr. Ruggles initially and he literally spent about an hour answering every question and was completely committed to making sure, I left the appointment with a sense of being informed and in competent qualified hands. The consultation really helped put my anxiety at ease. The procedure, though challenging to sit through due to the length of time, went as calmly, pain-less and comfortably as anyone could expect. EVERY step of the way, he and his assistant kept me informed as to what to anticipate next (though many dentist's don't) in such a kind and thoughtful way, that TRUST was reinforced by action. Let's be honest, there's nothing more vulnerable than knowing your health and wellbeing is literally in the hands of another human being and that's why I'm sharing my experience with this level of depth and honesty. At least when I was growing up back in the day, we were taught to FEAR the dentist! Somehow, through the fortunes I've had of very positive dental experiences, I've come to actually look forward to getting things taken care of and learned to be an informed patient with a cooperative Mindset, once in the hot seat. ;)) (Graphic warning) My particular gum graft procedure did require several shots and though I did feel really intense pressure at times, I have to say Dr. Ruggles is not only an extremely skilled, and experienced surgeon, IMO he's an *Artist* at his profession and I don't say this as a cliche'. It is evident based on my ((experience as a patient)), that Dr. Ruggles not only loves what he does and genuinely cares for his patients but, he brings a level of 'innate' skill, artistry and *stealth execution* to his work!!! For me, the result was my surgery went extremely well and my healing process was virtually trouble-free! Checking in with Dr. Ruggles a year later (in 2020) for an urgent tooth extraction (which I'll review another time), he remarked how well my gum graft had healed and how healthy everything looked. As my family was about to move out of state, I really needed to hear this and can only hope I find a dental surgeon in my new state, on par. Dr. Ruggles, his assistants and team work in a small office but they deliver an outstanding service from the initial consultation to Post-procedure followups and that's why I'm giving them **The Highest** recommendation possible! Let's talk hero material!!!! I was bringing my mom home from a skilled nursing facility. I knew how difficult it would be to get her to a dentist later so I started to look for an office close by who could see her immediately. I reached out to Dr Mynsberge whose office was across the street from the nursing home. Did these humans turn their nose up to me or say to busy or we are oral surgeons not dentist? Nope! They said we can see you in two days! They squeezed us in. We came back a few days later for a follow up. The did some grinding on sharp edges to help her be more comfortable. Every person....EVERYONE was kind and helpful! I explained I would be paying cash out of my pocket as I didn't have the time to make an appointment with a medicare dentist. That would have had me waiting months to get her in. I went to pay the bill with my credit card and they smiled and said "no charge'. I stopped working to care for my mom. Money is tight. Only those dealing with health issues and the medical world right now realize how bad it has become since COVID. It is absolutely heartbreaking how people are treated and what they are enduring. Then as broken as you are, trying to keep your chin up for your mom and there is this ray of light.
