Had a great experience with an extraction and implant. No pain and no swelling. And Dr Seda has a very warm, caring and competent vibe.

I hate calling attention to my need for medical care, but i feel i owe it to my many fans out there…read moreas well as those who simply consult yelp for guidance to report a good physician when i come across one. i first consulted Dr. Wingfield for a frozen shoulder. i had previously seen a surgeon about this who injected cortisone in the area but somehow missed the spot. within a month the problem resurfaced. a good friend mentioned Dr. Wingfield who, sure enough, did it right; the problem completely disappeared. the latest issue was a minor tear of the labrum in the right hip socket, and for this i decided to forego the surgical route altogether and return instead to the fine doctor who had so capably fixed me up before. there are differences between a shot of cortisone in the shoulder versus in the hip; the difference that means the most difference to me is the length of the needle used for the injection. one thing i have to confess at this point is how much i hate needles, have since i was so very young that all i remember from my first vaccination is the color of the doc's office building (still hate pink for this reason) and the sharp pain. on the other hand as i think on it, my dislike of needles has actually stood me in good stead as a very protective limitation in another realm altogether; the aversion drew a certain line in the sand if you know what i mean, and if you know that's about all i care to say on this anyway. it turns out that the needle for this procedure is about 3 inches long, and of course knowing this caused me no end of misery just thinking about it. "please, Dr. Winfield, be gentle," i whined. "oh, this won't be so bad as all that. what, did someone tell you something about this?" but of course by then it was too late, the needle was already in sight which was enough. still, i soldiered on. and then, almost before she started doing anything, she said simply, "you can open your eyes now, Bob, it's done." it had been almost painless. in short, Dr. Wingfield is amazing in my book, knows what she's doing, and at least in my case so far she doesn't hurt. she is herself quite an accomplished athlete in numerous sports, including of all things high wire trapeze performance. I highly recommend her for any sports and exercise injuries that may not require an operatio, and in that regard will consult her opinion should an orthopedic surgeon suggest "you might do well to fix that."

I never leave home without this helpful tool/app. Dr. Lyndly Tamura is a miracle worker! She's attentive, compassionate and listens to her patients. She fixed my mom's sciatica, and my husband's excruciating back pains. Her assistant Amit is stellar! I am an Executive Assistant, which requires a tremendous amount of attention to detail, amazing organizational skills, and confidentiality. Not everyone is that talented, very hard to find, especially these days - nobody reads or follows instructions. Amit is super patient and answers all my questions. PA Ryan Ansari is thorough and asks the right questions. What an "A" team! X-rays are onsite, which is a huge bonus. Ample parking in this healthcare complex. So blessed to have great doctors and nurses who genuinely care. They truly are the unsung heroes. I tell my kids these are the people they should look up to. What happens when their favorite athlete gets injured, they also need doctors. We will always need amazing doctors and medical staff around the world. That said, he absolutely took the time to explain things thoroughly and answer my questions, which I genuinely appreciated. My one-star review is primarily about my experience with Jasmine, a medical assistant at the Novato office. For several weeks, I had been working with Almendra to obtain a referral for physical therapy. Despite multiple follow-ups, the physical therapy office never received the referral. I was also told a paper copy would be mailed to me, but I never received that either. I then contacted the call center to try to resolve the issue and received a message from Almendra on 5/7 outlining possible ways to get the referral to me. I responded the same day and followed up again two days later, but never received a response. I understand things happen, but the lack of communication was frustrating. On 5/11, I called the call center again and spoke with Kelly, who was kind and empathetic. She suggested that I could pick up a printed copy of the referral from someone named Connor at the Novato office on 5/12. When I arrived at the office today, Jasmine, Connor's medical assistant, approached me and asked what I needed. After I explained the situation, her response was: "You came all the way here for that? It's in MyChart." I explained that it had been three weeks since my appointment, I still had not received the referral despite repeated efforts, and I had not been able to access it in MyChart. At that point, her tone felt increasingly dismissive and condescending. She responded, "You know Dr. Shah is your doctor, right? Not Connor," to which I explained that I was aware of that, but had simply followed instructions from Kelly to ask for Connor specifically. Jasmine then corrected me by saying Kelly was from the call center, not the office. I'm not sure where the hostility came from, but this interaction felt unnecessarily disrespectful and dismissive. Patients who are already trying to navigate delays and administrative issues deserve to be treated with basic courtesy and empathy.

I regret the day I walked into Richard Fong MD's office for my pre-op appointment, prior to having…read morehip replacement surgery. Dr. Fong replaced my left hip in 2008, and did such a poor job that I am in continual discomfort, over a year-and-a-half later. I had my other hip replaced three months ago by a highly skilled Kaiser doctor in Oakland and that hip barely hurt at all only two months after my surgery. And the scar, oh the scar... A first year med student could probably have done a better job... I also wonder if Kaiser San Rafael'smight be a bit too focused on cost cutting... Oakland and SF both send physical therapists and home health nurses to patients' homes for post-op treatment for several weeks after the surgery. Kaiser San Rafael does not do this. Since my surgery, as I've told people of my travails, other stories of Dr. Fong have come out of the woodwork: 1) My roommate during my Fong surgery, who also had a hip replacement is unhappy with Fong's work, and her hip still bothers her. Also, she was slightly overweight and he was incredibly rude to her about this -- on her six week follow-up, he said "well, I see you haven't lost any weight yet!" 2) I met a woman who told me that Fong botched her emergency shoulder surgery and the surgery to "fix" the first surgery. Finally, she went to a different Kaiser facility and a different doctor fixed it properly and she is fine now. 3) Another woman I know had either knee or shoulder replacement (I forget which) and it still bothers her after a couple of years 4) When my son had orthopedic surgery at UCSF on a broken leg and ankle (with a phenomenal doctor), one of the nurses told me about a friend of hers who went to Fong. He refused to operate on her unless she lost 50 pounds. The nurse's friend went to a different Kaiser facility and was able to get surgery without the insults. And she's probably better off in any event, since Fong didn't do her operation. If you're considering having Fong as surgeon, I suggest that you explore other options.

The staff has been consistent and responsive - well beyond most Dr. Offices. Previously, I had cervical fusion/decompression surgery and lumbar decompression at UCSF. Every day I wish with all my heart that I'd gone with Dr. Su for those. It's hard not to blame myself because I'm convinced if I'd gone with Dr Su initially I wouldn't be left with cervical chronic pain. Dr Su's approach is to do the most minimal surgery because you can always do more, but can't correct surgery that shouldn't have happened. In my case, this lumbar fusion and reconstruction Dr Su did on November was to correct the first aggressive lumbar decompression at UCSF. I'm now 6 weeks post surgery and feel like I'm getting my life back! Nerve recovery has been difficult and painful, and the staff has been incredible at addressing it. For the first time I feel like I'm part of a team working to heal me. Shout out to PA's Connor and Julie, and Anna and Bruno for back office support. One more thing to consider...the practice consists of several high quality doctors that offer supporting procedures adjacent to surgery.

Review for Dr. Naidu and Dr. Su…read more Apologies for the delay in writing this review--but my gratitude has only grown with time. Thank you, Dr. Naidu, for truly changing my life. One of the things I appreciated most was how honest and transparent both you and Dr. Su were with my prognosis. Your directness allowed me to make informed decisions without false hope, while still feeling heard and respected. You didn't just prescribe a path--you listened to my concerns and worked with my choices. The main reason I chose to fly from Los Angeles--despite the costly flights and hotel stays--was because you believe in starting with conservative care before jumping to surgery. That meant everything to me. Although Dr. Su thought my lower back MRI showed serious issues, he still agreed to try epidural injections first. Thankfully, I only needed two. Those injections gave me my life back. Before meeting you both, I had been off work for six months. Every provider I saw in L.A. pushed for surgery. As a nurse, I've seen patients come back years later with even more pain after surgery. I know surgical techniques have evolved, but I wasn't ready to take that step without a team I could trust--and I trust you both. Just three weeks after my first injection, I returned to work. I'm on my feet 12 hours a day, and I was finally able to do it again. Thank you--truly. My husband got his wife back. My kids got their mother back. Before treatment, I looked and felt ten years older. Now, I feel like myself again. I had been managing well with just Tylenol and ibuprofen for the occasional mild pain. But I made the mistake of seeing a chiropractor recently, and everything changed. My MD ordered a new MRI, and now both my neck and lower back are flaring up again. So--my next visit with you is already booked for August, flights and hotel included. I'm hopeful once again. Lastly, Dr. Naidu--thank you for fitting me in on my first consultation. When I look back, we laugh now about how I begged you to give me that first injection right away. You told me to be there at 8 a.m. because you had a small gap in your schedule--but what you didn't know is that I was already parked outside your building by 7 a.m. I wasn't going to miss that appointment. Best decision I ever made. THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! Dr. Su--I'll never forget when you looked at my MRI and said, "Oh no... your back is messed up. The epidural won't give much benefit." You had such a straight face that I thought to myself, Oh no... if he can't help me, I'm in deep sh--. But despite that, you still advocated for me. You spoke to Dr. Naidu, and he gave me a life-changing injection. THANK YOU. Just two injections--and I've been doing well ever since! Please, don't give me that look again when you see my MRI this time. Words alone can't express how grateful I am. Thank you.
