She has invested in the latest technology right there in the office and the entire staff are super friendly and helpful. Our family had been going to Dr, Michael Dab for 30 years and we were saddened to see him retire. He has left the practice in very good hands with Dr. Yang! From routine check ups to regular cleanings, you can't go wrong. But for more specialized services, Dr. Yang sets a new quality standard. She has done just about every specialized procedure including single crown to 4-tooth bridges to coordinating with other specialist including root canal and implant dentists. I went in for a consultation on a tooth that was having some issue. Dr. Dab was very knowledgeable and friendly. He gave me helpful information and options for the affected tooth. During the consultation, I did not feel rushed at all and he was able to answer every question I had. As well as taking his time to draw out what was happening with my tooth for me to get a better understanding. Hilary, the hygienist, and Tina who is at the front desk was super welcoming. Sometimes you get lucky; that's how I felt after my appointment with Dr. Yang, who I picked out from an Internet search for dentists. I had a loose tooth that was giving me huge grief, and the way I was handled by Dr. Yang and Viv and Tina was so positive, with so much care and professionalism, I know that the day of my next appointment, I won't wake up with the usual dread and dentiphobia. If I could give 100 stars to Dr. Yang I absolutely would! I'm not a big review writer but Dr. Yang went above and beyond so I felt I needed to post about it. I was in a scooter accident in 2020 and my teeth had many chips and dents on them after the accident. I spoke to many dentists around the Bay Area about veneers (didn't feel comfortable with any of them) and was eventually referred to Dr. Yang based on her incredible expertise in the field. After meeting Dr. Yang, she was by far the most knowledgeable and informative dentist by far, so I decided to move forward with my procedure. Not only did Dr. Yang do the BEST job on my veneers (made me look exactly how I was pre-accident without my teeth looking fake or too big) but she was also incredibly gentle and thorough, and I couldn't be happier. In total, I had three crowns and seven veneers done by Dr. Yang, and I have never been happier to smile now. The before and after pics will blow you away! Dr. Yang is such a rare find - she is exceptional at what she does plus she really cares about her patients. I get compliments literally all the time on my teeth, and I am so grateful for Dr. Yang and the time and energy she spent on perfecting my teeth and caring so much about my overall dental health. I recently moved over an hour away from Dr. Yang and I still drive to her office for my dental visits because I know she is the best of the best and I trust her without a doubt. I found this office on Yelp & I'm fortyI did! Not only is it close to home, but Dr Dab & his staff are wonderful! went to Dr Dab for a loose crown & I'm terrified of the dentist. I let the office know prior to coming in & everyone there was amazing & made me feel at ease. When I saw Dr Dab he took his time with me & asked me why I have such a hard time at the dentist & we talked for a bit. He explained everything he was doing & tried very hard to keep me calm. He gave me a very thorough exam & did things other dentists never had. I feel he's at the top of his game & I'll be going back for other issues because I'm very confident Dr Dab will do his best for me. He seems to genuinely care & doesn't shame you. His hygienist, receptionist & assistants were very sweet & helpful. If you're looking for a dentist, do yourself a favor & go to this office :) I'd like to add that Dr Dab called me in the evening to see how I was doing, which I thought was very caring. Dr. Dab is THE BEST, hands down. I've been going to him for several years since when I lived locally. I now live in the East Bay and continue to see him no matter how far the commute is. He is the most knowledgable and honest dentist I've ever met. Whenever there's work to be done, he lays out all the options and clearly states why his recommendations are what they are. You can tell there's no financial drive in the conversations - he's truly passionate about what he does and has you in his best interest. Talk about excellent bed side manor! Dr. Yang is so careful with my super sensitive teeth, alway explaining what she is about to do and checking in with me to see how my sensitivity is doing. She and her assistant are a match made in heaven, it is like a well choreographed dance when doing a procedure. I actually like going to the dentist thanks to Dr. Dab! He is so informative and attentive. His office is equipped with technology that allows you to see firsthand what's going on inside your mouth. I have received dental care from Dr. Dab for 2 years now. I feel well cared. There are a few things I would like to share here. It is very important for me to prevent anything preventable. This is the philosophy of Dr. Dab's practice. I was previously referred for gum surgery by prior primary dentist. After I started seeing Dr. Dab, his treatment has reverted the need for gum surgeries. Another important prevention is teeth guard to prevent grinding during sleep. Ever since I used his guard, my wife is able to sleep better, because I stopped snoring. A quiet sleep is a good side effect of his management. Since then, my wife transferred her dental care to Dr. Dab. Dr. Dab and his staff are very friendly. They send text messaging to remind appointments. I had a crown come off on a Wednesday night and was pretty uncomfortable. Unfortunately my regular dentist was out of town. She referred me to Dr. Dab. I called him on the emergency number early the next morning and he got me in before their work day started. He was going to just glue the old crown back on so I could have my regular dentist take care of it when she came back, but I asked him to make a crown for me that morning (he can do it right in his office!). I had a crown that kept coming out. I visited at least four top dentists in Marin and none of them could help me, they all said that the base of the tooth was too small to support the crown. I decided to give it one more dentist a try and went to Dr. Dab. Well, Dr. Dab fixed what none of the other top dentists could and twenty plus years and a ton of caramel chewing later, my crown hasn't budged! I trust Dr. Dab so much that when I moved to the outer reaches of the Sunset District in SF, I continued to go to him. That is one hour car drive each way. When I got married, I insisted my husband also make the drive, and he has not regretted it one bit. When my kids were of age to go to Dr. Dab, I started schlepping them too. Try him out. He is incredibly honest and skilled. Dr.Dab works hard to keep up on the latest and greatest new dental procedures. Oh yes, and he is 1000% honest. He will never suggest a procedure that is not totally necessary. Hate to say this but some medial professionals are not as honest. Everyone in the office is kind and professional, and they go out of their way to make the experience as easy as possible. Dr. Yang is amazing. Not only is she sweet, but her work is painless. Dr. Dab taught me everything I know about gingivitus. My gums have never looked so good. I wasn't much of a flosser before I met Dr. Dab but now I take my gum health seriously. I came to Dr. Dab because I had a crown that kept falling out. Previously, I had seen three top dentists in Marin and a week after each visit, the crown fell out. The last dentist explained to me that "the underlying tooth was ground down too small it can no longer support the crown." So basically I would have to have it pulled. Wanting to avoid losing a tooth I decided to give it one more try and went to my sister's dentist, Dr. Dab. Fast forward years and plenty of taffy and gumball chewing later, and the crown hasn't budged. Dr. Dab has proven himself time and again to be a supremely skilled-dentist, heads above the rest. So skilled that even after moving to the far reaches of San Francisco, to the Sunset district, I still willingly schlep myself, my husband and my twin nine-year-old boys and an hour and a half round trip just to see Dr. Dab. Other than extreme-skill, Dr. Dab is also extremely honest. I have had medical professionals in the past that I have suspected of champing at the bit to fill a cavity, or perform a procedure more for financial reasons than medical ones. Perhaps their speed boat payment was due or some fine-wine order needed to be fulfilled? At least that's what it felt like to me. Rest assured Dr. Dab is not that way. If a cavity is beginning to form, he will keep a close eye on it, and only address it when it is the right time. Never needlessly rushing into "big repairs" out of desire for financial gain. Last but not least, I admire how Dr. Dab always is keeping up with the best of the cutting edge dental technologies and breakthroughs. you need to stay away from this guy-- about 10 years ago i went to him for a consultation on a veneer. he said he could do it, but he also said i had 6 cavities he needed to fix/replace immediately (costing a LOT of money- and time/pain i'm sure!). i thought it was strange because my last dentists said nothing of this. i went for a second opinion and sure enough the other dentist said "you don't have any cavities!" it's been ten years-- i & since then have not needed one filling! this guy is a scam artist!!!! read more
