Not only did I have a cracked tooth which caused horrible pain, but it got infected. Ouch. I wasn't sure during COVAD-19 if I would even be able to be seen. But yes. Some professions are our local heroes like this doctor, using all the protective measures go me in quickly and evaluated. Dr. Manoukian was AMAZING. I have one root canal and it was done in 2002. I've been having problem with it due to the crown having an open margin and of course decay happened. This past year it got worse to the point I was preparing myself for extraction and just place an implant cause I did not know if it was still restorable. My dentist recommended to see an endodontist, so I did. Got an appointment here, and they were able to see me right away. Dr. Manoukian redid my root canal. I am very thankful to him that he was able to save my tooth. He was very gentle and caring doctor. He is COOL too. Coolest doctor I know. I would definitely come here if I need another root canal. Was referred by my general dentist and the experience from start to finish was abysmal. There were billing issues that had to be resolved and it was the mistake of the office. They never once apologized, or at the very least acknowledged it. Then Manoukian did his thing. It ended up being a failed root canal. But what was so insulting was how I was told to wait after the procedure in the waiting room and that he would finish up with instructions. Prior to that, while I was still in the chair during the procedure, he okayed a patient being fit in for a consult. After waiting for 45 minutes, I finally approached his receptionist to remind him that I was waiting. He came out and basically said nothing. He clearly forgot. No apology. Dr. Manoukian is incredibly nice, clear, and skilled--so that the procedure was virtually painless! I didn't even have pain afterwards. He's got a great chair-side manner, explains everything, and made what could have been an awful experience not bad at all. His staff was also super-nice and accommodating about splitting the cost into three payments. Dr Manoukian is a Dental Ninja. I walked into his office in agony, and walked out a "fee man" again, free of pain. Mark is very personable, professional, and competent. He mentioned that he had just performed his 25,000th root canal, and it shows. I was totally comfortable the whole time, it was really not a lot different than getting a cavity filled, only it takes longer. That is one thing to note - Mark is a bit old school in that he gives every patient his undivided attention, instead of the new breed of doctors that rush in and out, and leave other staff to answer questions. But what this means is that he might spend an extra 10 minutes with the patient before you, and you will have to wait a little longer. The good news, is that he will do the same for you, and you will get his undivided attention. I much prefer this. You never get the feeling of being rushed when he is treating you. read more

Love this Endodontist! I had to have a dreaded root canal and this guy was amazing. He immeditalty makes you feel comfortable and answers all your questions. He has a fantastic personality. He is so down to earth and funny. You can just tell right off the bat he is 100% genuine. This was my third root canal and the first time it was pain free. Not surprised to see all the other positive reviews. If there were six stars, I would give them. I'm one of those people who have a hard time getting numb AND who have dental anxiety. He "got it" and I could tell that making my experience positive was his top priority....at which he succeeded. He treated me with respect, kindness, and empathy, not like a job to get done and billed. At no point did he show impatience, only graciousness. Clinically, I trust him. He explained everything to me in a way that was non-jargon filled and understandable. I was also very happy to learn that dental anesthesia is a specialty of his; in fact, he teaches it. Not surprisingly, I couldn't even feel the shots. And he made sure that I was truly numb before working on me, which unfortunately has not always been a successful endeavor for me. Lastly, the playful bantering between his administrative assistant, dental assistant, and Dr. Manoukian kept the atmosphere light and joyful. I've had a long-standing history of temporomandibular joint dysfunction and wear an orthotic appliance. My worst fear came true when I was informed I needed a root canal. I've had multiple root canals (all very painful) in years past and cringed when I was referred to Dr. Manoukian for another. What a surprise this delightful man turned out to be!! He provided an initial consult at no charge and the procedure was so completely painless that I nodded off to the soothing music he was playingas he was drilling away. This relates to the extraordinary skill and patience with which he performed a multi-step numbing procedure I've never experienced with any other dental specialist. Can a root canal be pleasant? My root canal redo was as close to pleasant as it gets. We had a consultation first and Dr. Manoukian made sure to explain everything in minute detail. I learned a lot about teeth in 15 minutes! The actual procedure was painless and quick. They let me pick what Spotify playlist to listen to during the whole thing and the view outside of the lake was lovely. Best dental procedure I've ever had. I was extremely nervous about getting a Root Canal done because I got one done before at another office and it was very unpleasant. But when I walked in, the front staff made me feel welcomed and made me feel more comfortable. I was still a little nervous but all of that went away when I met Dr. Manoukian.
