My partner and I had the best experience preparing for our wedding dance at FX Dance Studios! Nia made us feel comfortable and confident, even though neither of us had any dance experience. Nia took the time to understand our vision for our wedding and helped us create a beautiful, personalized routine! We even decided to come back to take additional private lessons which has been a blast so far! Whether you're interested in learning a new dance style or building up your confidence, I totally recommend coming here. :) read more

My husband surprised me for our wedding anniversary with a dance lesson, together, at Dance FX. Walking in, great first impression! Music playing, decorated well and an open dance floor. Our instructor (Hailey)was great! She did step-by-step with us as we learned the basics of the two step, the rumba and country swing. Our lesson was 40 minutes long and we enjoyed it so much we signed up for 5 more lessons! read more

My then fiancé and I signed up two years ago for a choreographed first dance at our wedding. Two years of rehearsing and our first dance went off without a hitch. The dance was simply put, US. Sierra is a pleasure to work with, she's so patient and kind. My now husband and I have enjoyed every single lesson, so much so that we will continue to take lessons! It's a wonderful way to carve out time in your busy schedules to get the opportunity to laugh, smile, and enjoy your partners company. We can't thank Sierra enough for our wonderful first dance, and most importantly the memories that we continue to make. read more

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this studio thanks to the new student offer, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we've ever made. From the moment we walked through the doors, Cassy, our instructor, greeted us with warmth and enthusiasm. Her passion for dance was infectious, and her energy made us feel right at home. We continued into the intro courses for country swing, salsa and waltz, and Cassy's guidance and encouragement pushed us out of our comfort zones so that now learning a new move is one of our favorite things to do as a couple. She has a unique talent for making each lesson fun, engaging, and tailored to us. It's clear that Cassy was born to teach dance - her dedication to her craft and her students is truly inspiring. Thanks to Cassy, dance has become the highlight of our week. We find ourselves looking forward to our lessons and the opportunity to learn and grow under her expertise. We feel incredibly fortunate to have found such an amazing instructor who has not only helped us improve our dance skills but has also enriched our lives in so many ways. Three months ago you wouldn't have caught us dead on the dance floor. Now, we feel confident enough to go out with others from the studio and just have fun on the dance floor. We recommend this studio to everyone we know that may be interested in dance. If you've been considering adding dance to you or your relationship, go to Dance FX. You won't be disappointed! read more

I've been a student here since November. I came to learn country swing and have not been disappointed. Nia got me set up with the basics and I started working with Kaelynn at the beginning of this year and the whole experience has been amazing. I would definitely recommend DanceFx (and already have) to anyone interested in learning how to dance. I also would recommend one on one lessons, as this has been most effective for me and I believe this is the way to get the most out of the instruction. read more

My husband and I took private lessons with Sophia who was amazing. We did the package with 30 lessons and focused on Bachata, Cha Cha, Country Swing and Country Two Step. We loved it. Sophia is great and Sierra (the new owner) is wonderful. Everyone was very welcoming and we liked the socials they hosted as well so we could meet other dancers. Since taking lessons we feel comfortable going out to dance at latin venues or country venues :) After reading the negative reviews on here I feel like it's important to note that the current owner is absolutely wonderful. She's very sweet and we loved learning from and dancing with her. We never felt any pressure to sign up for classes in the first place or to sign up again when we finished our 30 lessons. I highly recommend Dance FX! read more

My husband purchased a 5 lesson intro course for private lessons for me last Christmas. I kept putting it off and finally made our first appointment months later. Yes, it was a gift for both of us (whether he realized that or not) The studio is bright & inviting. On our initial visit, we decided to try Bachata & Salsa. We have zero dance experience and one of us had zero rhythm. Each class is 40 minutes and the scheduling of each class has been flexible with our schedules. Our first instructor left after our first few classes, but from then on we were partnered with Sierra. She is an amazing, patient teacher. Dance FX gets you moving right away with each other. The instructor will step in to be your partner to demonstrate. Each lesson builds upon the last with review and additional steps added each time. We made decent progress by lesson 5 so we decided to continue with another 10 lessons . We currently feel confident with many steps and turns with both Salsa & Bachata. After each lesson, we go over the plan for the next session and review what we've learned. We are still a bit slow, but we've made great strides for newbies. My posture has improved. Our rhythm is greatly improved. Now it's up to us to continue to practice. It's been a fun activity for my husband & me to try together. If you are thinking of trying something new, we recommend Sierra! She makes learning fun. We may go back sometime after the holidays. We'd also like to try country dancing at some point. They have many packages and dance style options. read more

Julissa is AMAZING! She's a preferred vendor for dance lessons from our venue and the dance lessons were by far our favorite part of the wedding planning process. She made us feel at ease and made it fun, we were always so excited to come back to our next lesson. We're definitely returning for more classes :) read more

I booked a few dance lessons here for my wife and I within a month of our wedding and we both had such a great experience. Sierra was a great instructor and the space was welcoming and beginner friendly - which we definitely needed! She worked with us to put together a shorter version of our first dance song and crafted some approachable but fun choreography for us to learn within our tight time frame. If you're looking for any type of dancing for any level, I can not recommend this place enough. Most certainly worth the investment, thank you for making our wedding day all the more special! read more

My now husband and I decided to take dance lessons for our wedding completely on a whim, and I am so glad we did. Working with Sierra and the staff at Dance FX was such a pleasure, and easily my favorite night of the week! We ended up with an AMAZING first dance, and had the most fun learning it. Hailey was wonderful. She was patient and helpful. We enjoyed the salsa and two step.

I highly recommend DanceFx. I was very hesitant at first to even reach out, being a person who had no rhythm, two left feet and never had really done any kind of dancing for that reason. However, Kaelynn and Sierra have been amazing since the first day. They listened to my concerns and my goals and have tailored the plan to help me get to my goal. It's been a great experience, no pressure or stress environment. Everyone at DanceFx is super nice and personable. I've learned a lot over the last month and a half and actually look forward to coming in for every lesson. They have made it a fun learning environment and encouraged me the whole way. Great people and environment. If you're looking to learn or get better at a form of dancing give them a call. read more

Thanks to our daughter and son-in-law my wife and I plunged into formal, private dance lessons at Dance FX. What a great, fun experience this has become. The private lessons with Teloa have provided me the knowledge to step out with my wife in other dances besides slow ones. I can hit the dance floor with confidence and the ability to enjoy something I've always wanted to learn how to do with my wife. Most men think learning to dance is intimidating and like I have a fear of failing in the eyes of our wife, partner, or other spectators. With private instruction, this is a very quick learning curve to overcome. Our primary instructor, Teloa, is extremely talented and trained in many different dance steps. So is another instructor, Sierra, who has also helped me through specific, finite movements of dance steps. I highly recommend you take advantage of their introductory, private lesson offer and see just how rewarding learning how to formal dance can be. read more

**Introductory Private Class Review** I was so excited to get started with private lessons, yet unfortunately dismayed after our introductory class. $40 dollars is a bit steep for a teaser. After setting an appointment and paying up front, we came in to meet the private instructor. He sat down with us and awkwardly went through a couple ice-breaker questions. I'm all for that, normally, but we had JUST gotten through a four week group class, so it was somewhat tedious. Then, we jumped into the introduction of the four basic dance styles we would be learning. Part of it was reviewing fundamental leading and following steps, which I found reinforced what we already learned. Things were going well. I felt like we were all loosening up (the instructor included) until the sales pitch. About 45 minutes into the hour-long class we sat back down at a table to talk details. The deal was that we sign up for a package of 5 private classes (or 10 classes). When I asked if we could do installment payments, we were told "no." The price per class was around the same as this intro, but I felt like we hadn't learned all that much. We said we needed to think about it. I called a few days later to ask about installments and again, nonchalantly told "no." Notes: -The introductory private class is probably great for absolute beginners, but if you already have some skill or solid coordination, you may feel the value is lacking. - Even though I believe the private lessons would be great, don't go into the intro class without knowing you will be asked to pay for a prepaid package of sessions. I understand if that's commonplace, but as a busy couple, we don't prefer getting locked into an activity with a significant financial commitment up front. *Still shopping around* read more

After reading Pat's review I only think it is necessary to share the email I received from the owner today. I worked with Dance FX through the months of November and December in reference to their marketing and assisted with securing over $4000 worth of donations as well as getting all the food donated. I worked for 10 hours the day of the event and ran errands and picked up the donations in good faith. I gave her cost for two banners that I had designed and requested payment from that today. Mind you I under charged her for the event to work on doing additional business. Here is the email I received back. This sums up Nicole's attitude for sure. I would not recommend them to anyone. Hi Nicole, I had sent you the invoice to pay for the step and repeat banner directly to the vendor which was a cost of $150.00. I just received a statement from them saying that this has yet to be paid. Please remit payment either to me or the vendor ASAP. RESPONSE from Nicole: You're too funny! How about you take the $150 out of the money I paid you in December for doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for my company to pay this. I NEVER approved $150 for the step and repeat banner as you know. While you're at it, you can send me back the $350 for the remainder of the money I paid you in December that you did not earn. How does this sound? Also, you may come and pick up your banner holders by this Saturday as they are taking up storage space in my studio. Otherwise, they will be tossed. Have a great day! read more

Our experience dancing here has been nothing but positive and fun! I've always loved dancing but my husband was not the biggest fan, especially when we try to dance after free lessons at bars and from other people. Now after our lessons and group classes here, he absolutely looks forward to learning more, leading well, and wants to keep dancing as a hobby we can both share. The instructors here are all positive and amazing! We've had the pleasure to work with all of them and it's been extremely beneficial to learn the different styles and feedback from each one's expertise. The owner, Nicole, was wonderful in meeting our needs and working with us financially to keep us learning to dance. I would recommend going even if just for a class or two- the culture and environment here is super friendly and you don't feel intimidated by the levels of where everyone else is at. read more

I'm an 18 year old man, and about 3 months ago I decided I wanted to learn to dance. After just one lesson with sierra, I knew that dance fx was the place for me! The environment is great, it's very welcoming! We always do a lot of learning but it never feels like a class, we do a lot of laughing while we learn! It's a great place full of great people and even better teachers! I would highly recommend if you are even considering dancing! read more

Overall I can see the vision this dance studio has and perhaps the way I wanted to learn and the things I wanted to learn could not be taught by the instructors I had. One was too technical the other, not technical enough. I felt as though I barely learned anything from either but I did learn some that is why I am giving this place a decent rating. Overall however, these lessons are not worth 100$ an hr to me, (I rounded up) I believe I could get better lessons for a much more reasonable price. Perhaps the dance style I prefer is a little too complex to teach the way they teach all the others, that could also be why other studios don't even bother teaching hip-hop lessons. Either way, not bad by any means but certainly far from what I had hoped. read more

My husband was looking into private dance lessons for us for our vow renewal back in March, when he found Dance FX Studios. We were invited to come in for an introductory lesson a few days after calling them. At the lesson, we were given a tour of the studio and then sat down with the owner (Nicole) and our to-be instructor (Bri) to discuss what we were looking for. We were asked some ice-breaker questions and we have plenty of detail about our wedding and what we wanted in our dance. After discussing all of the details, we were given a few package options, and we chose the one that fit our needs. Even though our wedding date was just over two weeks away, Nicole managed to schedule 10 private dance lessons, and she assured us this would be plenty of time to get the perfect wedding dance. Nicole also helped us pick out the perfect song, one which we'll cherish forever. We received email notifications that evening with our scheduled lessons, which made putting them in our personal calendars very easy. With less than 3 weeks before the wedding, and no dance experience on our end, we were so gracious that Dance FX made time for us. Our private lessons were with Bri, and she was an absolute gem. My husband and I had no dance experience prior to coming to Dance FX, and Bri was incredibly patient and taught everything so well. She was also very friendly, which made our time with her very enjoyable. We were so excited to share our first dance with our guests at our vow renewal, and our guests absolutely loved it. Dance FX says that "if you can walk, you can dance," and it's certainly true! We came in not knowing a single dance move, and we left with a whole choreographed dance and some basic dance moves to use anywhere we go. I would definitely recommend Dance FX to anyone looking to learn how to dance. read more
