Dana's Towing and Repair Shop: A First-Class Operation
As the original owner of a 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid, I've increasingly found it difficult to locate replacement parts and a knowledgeable repair shop willing to work on a complex, older vehicle. On top of that, my vehicle has been regularly treated with an oil-based rust protectant over the years, making repair work a greasy, messy undertaking that some shops would rather avoid.
Last year, my rear subframe failed, causing the rear differential to hang by the rear axles and completely disabling my car. Through AAA Road Service, Dana's towed my vehicle to my longtime repair shop, where they flatly refused to attempt the repair. Two other local shops, including the Ford dealership where I purchased the vehicle, also declined the job. They said they didn't work on older subframes.
But not Dana's!
Recognizing the predicament I was in, Dana's tow truck operator kindly offered to bring my vehicle to their shop for repairs. They didn't hesitate to take on a tough, dirty job, and shortly afterward, I had my vehicle repaired and back on the road. After seeing their shop and experiencing the professionalism of their staff, I realized I had stumbled upon a top-notch operation.
Since then, Dana's has accurately diagnosed and repaired several other problems with my vehicle. They tracked down cupped tires that hummed and vibrated at certain speeds when I suspected a bad drive-train. They diagnosed a failing front wheel bearing that made noise in turns and at certain speeds when I suspected a bad half-shaft. And just today, they replaced a broken front sway bar that was causing a knocking noise. My Ford repair manual indicated that the front subframe would have to be lowered to replace the sway bar, but Dana's found a way to do the job without lowering it.
These accurate diagnoses and knowledgeable, carefully executed repairs have saved me considerable time and money that I might otherwise have spent chasing the wrong problems or paying for unnecessary work.
I've done most of my own routine driveway car maintenance for the past 55 years, so I know a thing or two about cars. I've also encountered my share of less-than-impressive repair shops over the years. That experience has taught me to recognize an A-list operation when I find one.
Now, whenever I have a car problem I can't confidently diagnose myself or a repair that's beyond my comfort level, I take my vehicle to Dana's with complete confidence. It's a genuine relief to know my car is in good hands.
Dana's is hands down the most professional, customer-friendly, clean, and well-organized repair shop I've ever had the pleasure of working with. They're knowledgeable, straightforward, and offer fair prices for parts and labor.
I can't thank the staff at Dana's enough for their excellent work and willingness to take on challenging repairs that other shops wouldn't touch. I wholeheartedly recommend Dana's Towing and Repair Shop for your automotive repair, maintenance, and towing needs!
