Rollie has a gift for tailoring every workout to my specific goals and abilities, and he always knows when to push me just enough without ever making me feel overwhelmed. What I appreciate most is how much attention he pays to proper form and injury prevention. I've noticed huge improvements not just in my strength and endurance, but also in my confidence at the gym. He's also incredibly encouraging, with the perfect mix of professionalism and humor that keeps every session fun. Oh--and did I mention he's an amazing dancer? Honestly, it's a crime he hasn't been cast in Magic Mike. What a waste of talent! If you're looking for a trainer who truly cares, knows his stuff, and makes you look forward to working out, Rollie is the one. I feel stronger, healthier, and more energized than I have in years--and that's 100% thanks to him.

AF is a solid neighborhood gym. Plenty of equipment, clean, free parking (!!!), and friendly management. I was really impressed that Chris read and responded to my survey feedback; he really does want this place to meet clients needs. On top of that, the price is right; it really is one of the best values around. There aren't any classes, if that's your jam, but there is a free session with the trainers to help you build a 30 day plan. I'm really happy here. Thanks Chris!

I started going to the gym (another gym) earlier this year but I didn't know what I was doing and would just go around the gym trying different machines. Then I switched to pro fit and saw results immediately. I saw more progress in one month with pro fit than the previous 3-4 months at the other gym! And I'm not even exaggerating. I love that they would put up a workout on the board for me each time I come in and would try to squeeze me in when I couldn't make my usual time. Everyone was really friendly and would greet me each time I went in, and I was pleasantly surprised that all the trainers learned my name. I worked mostly with Chris and he was amazing! I I remember I could not run for more than 2 miles comfortably right before joining pro fit, and three months after, I can comfortably run 6-7 miles and broke my personal record again and again without intentionally trying to improve my running stats. I'm training for a half marathon, and that to me three months ago was unimaginable. They also have a body scale that breaks down your muscle mass and fat mass by arms/legs/etc, which has been really helpful in tracking progress. I had the silver package for three months and they are not cheap. But I'm still very glad that I tried them out and imo it was a small price to pay to get into better shape and more importantly develop habits that will help me with my workouts in the future!! 100/10 would recommend - I wish I could give them more than 5 stars

I also really liked the solo workouts because they give you a routine to follow which is much more motivating than simply coming for open gym. I am very cautious about COVID19 and felt they did a good job of limiting the number of people in the gym, creating "zones", and having lots of cleaner/sanitizer around. The instructors wear a mask the whole time, and it's optional for the students. I highly recommend this gym!

Easily the best gym in Seattle I've been to!…read more There's a reason why you'll see everyone from athletes & body builders, to people at the very beginning of their fitness journey at Henry's; and it's because the Staff, environment, quality and availability of equipment is unmatched. Need help achieving your goals? Great, they've got amazing trainers, each with many years of experience and the success stories to back it up. They'll streamline your fitness journey for you and with you --step by step. More of a get in, work out, get out person? Cool, they've got all the equipment you'll need and it's always well maintained. Want more of a community experience? I've never seen someone walk in and not be greeted by name and spoken to genuinely. Everyone I've encountered at Henry's, both staff and patron has been kind and welcoming. It's difficult to find an affordable spot in a city as good as this one, and it's the first gym in a long time I've had zero complaints about. Great place to get strong!

If you are thinking about joining Henry's Gym, make sure to read all the fine print in the…read morecontract! Once you sign, there is a grace period of 3-ish days to cancel, after that -- you're locked down for 12 months! I'm not sure how the contract is legal as it seems morally and ethically corrupt. After a weird situation with another member -- a guy tried to pursue me and I found out he was in a relationship -- I wanted to cancel my membership but after rereading the contract, I decided to change the time I went to the gym instead. I managed to successfully avoid the weird guy until the end of my contract and during that time, I began noticing other issues at Henry's gym. Here are a few of my observations: 1. Very quick turn around in the front desk team. This is always a sign that a place is badly managed and cares for profit above all else. In the year that I was a member, I saw the entire front desk team change multiple times. Made me sad to see people lose their spark working there. 2. Overpriced memberships for nonexistent amenities. The "basic" membership is around $100-$-110 and since they took away the towel service, the only "amenity" is the keypad lockers. All the amenities offered are exclusively for the more expensive memberships. Initially, I was willing to pay a little extra to support a local business and foster community in my life. However, over time I saw that this "community" was male centered. 3. Unhygienic male members. While the crowd of members are diverse in gender, age, race and body type and typically do wipe down the machines, a majority of the male members do not. Generally speaking, the typical "gym bros" that go there are unhygienic and self centered when occupying space in the gym. There have been a couple times when I've seen men so sweaty that it looks like they've peed their pants! It's so unhinged it's laughable! 4. Henry's does offer a variety of machines, weights, equipment, etc. That being said, the mats used for stretching or ab exercises are falling apart. I mentioned this when I cancelled my membership and the manager said new ones are on the way however, I didn't see them before the end of the last month of my membership. Not sure what the truth is there but I used the mats frequently to stretch after cardio and again, a majority of the mats were falling apart as well as not many people wiped them down. 5. The "art" around the gym is superficial and some of it really pushes the lines of cultural appropriation. If you actually read the quotes and look at the photos, it's all over the place and lacks a cohesive aesthetic. It didn't really bother me, just reminded me of ClipArt. Another one of the reasons I joined initially was for the lack of fluorescent lighting. That'll be the one thing I'll miss from Henry's gym, the lighting. Overall, I think Henry's has the potential to be a really cool gym but as it stands today, it's a flop in my eyes.

POV: my trainer was based her for a couple of years so visited NW strong more than my home gym but…read morewas never a member here. NW strong is a great option for a no-frills weight-lifting focused gym in Belltown. This place is stacked to the brim with equipment. There are as many squat racks as you can fit in a space like this (9?) and about a dozen benches and tons of options for dumbbells and kettlebells. More than you will see in many much larger gyms. There are also other kinds of equipment like air bike, rower, ski erg, treadmill, bands, sled, TRX straps, and I'm sure some things I'm forgetting. It's a compact footprint and Trevor has done an outstanding job efficiently equipping it to the max. The trainers I've observed here have all be high quality with their own unique style. There is also more of a community here than I think you get with some of the bigger gyms around. From a female perspective I will say that the clientele here is mostly men. There have been many times where the gym was packed and I was the only female present. That said, people here are nice, and respectful overall and it's a good spot to work out. If I lived closer, I'd consider being a member here. I would say the two downsides that may or may not impact you personally are that there is no locker room or shower to speak of (typical commercial building bathrooms shared by multiple tenants in the building) and the space would benefit from a few fans or stronger AC. This is fine 10 months of the year but it can get very stuffy and humid in the hottest days of the summer.

READ ME 1. Trever,…read morethe owner, is very responsive and kind. 2. The gym is very clean, especially since Trever uses meyers cleaning solutions (smells great!). 3. The gym has a wide varied of equipment and free weights. 4. The gym is well-lit 5. Music selection is good, but not too loud if you're using headphones Conclusion: My girlfriend and I are from out of town and come from a private gym. NorthWest Strong, especially Trever, were very welcoming and accommodating when it came to having us train to prep for our powerlifting meets. If I ever come to Seattle again this would be our "go-to" gym for training. Thank you Trever and NorthWest Strong for having us .
