One of my favorite gyms in Seattle :) It has got a good amount of equipment (cardio, racks, a turf area, and even a yoga room!), is clean, and has wonderful amenities (showers, locker room, and a sauna!) They also have classes. It doesn't have the corporate, overcrowded, poorly maintained, corporate gym feel (yet). It is also in a central area (SLU) if you are looking to grab brunch or lunch from somewhere nearby. I can see it getting crowded on the weekdays as it's close to so many offices, but I have only been on the weekend where it isn't very crowded. read more

I signed up for Women'a strong with Aldo and it has been a life changing experience. I had been very bad at keeping my gym consistency so I signed up for strength camp to have more of a routine around my fitness. In 7 weeks, once a week, I nearly doubled my squat weight -- up to 95 lbs! Aldo has a great energy and has been wonderful at keeping me motivated. I look forward to many more strength camp classes with Aldo! As for the gym as a whole, it has great amenities including showers and a dry sauna. The machines are in good shape and there's a variety of machines available. In addition, there are many great classes offered. read more

What a wonderful gym. I went on classpass during a long weekend visit to Seattle. It has everything, it's clean and tidy, the locker rooms have nice products and it's not crowded. Open one in LA! read more

I came here on a ClassPass for open gym and it was a great experience! Very friendly staff, spacious gym with lots of equipment, and big, well-stocked locker rooms. I was grateful for the different weight lifting machines as they're one of my favorite ways to work out. I also really appreciated the sauna and it was a nice way to relax after a good workout. A bit busy in the morning before work but not too bad! read more

Flow is an amazing place! The staff is super friendly and their classes helped me get into a routine. Super recommend!

The coolest thing about Flow Fitness is that one membership gets you access to both the Fremont and SLU locations. The SLU has a much larger open gym space and equipment compared to the Fremont space while the Fremont space has larger group classes. SLU still has classes though; they're just smaller rooms, less people, and less space. Just as great! The instructors rotate locations on different days of the week. I attended a Body Combat class and a restorative candlelight yoga class at the SLU location. I was extremely pleased with everything about Flow, from the clean space, free lockers (bring your own lock! Or rent one) and cycling shoe rentals (I've seen other places charge $2-3 per rental!) and towels, bathroom cleanliness and amenities, free wifi, free parking (don't forget to get a sticker for your car), extremely supportive and friendly staff, and energetic teachers. I had such a wonderful time attending, and I was incredibly nervous about it since I almost never exercise. Even though the class was structured, they let us know it was okay to go at our own pace, and provided guidance on how to improve our form. Other than body combat and yoga, they also offer indoor cycling, barre, HIIT, and more. They also have standard gym equipment so you can just work out without classes too! They also offer a new member special $30 for 30 days and a 1 week free trial pass. I would definitely recommend checking out this locally-owned, small business for your fitness needs! They also have a location in Fremont. read more

I recently found this gym and love it! This gym is awesome! I reserved some gym time at 6:30 am the other day through ClassPass (you get 10 free credits for a 2-week trial, and I believe an hour of gym time was 3 credits!) I walked down here from Capitol Hill the other morning and was super impressed by how nice it was inside! Lots of gym space with equipment, machines, the works! The changing rooms were lovely and the women's was she/they and the men's was she/they, so I loved the inclusivity of the space! Each changing room has bathrooms, showers, lockers, and a SAUNA! I didn't go into the main space as I wasn't feeling 100% that particular morning (super sleep deprived), so I opted to go into the yoga room which was empty because there were no classes. The ambient lighting was perfect for my sleepy self and I got a nice flow in by myself in there! The changing rooms were lovely and the front desk woman was extremely kind. I didn't have a lock, so it was quite easy to trade my ID for a lock until I was finished with my workout! Overall, I thought this experience was a lovely one, and I would definitely be back for more gym time or even a class in the future! :) read more

I absolutely love this gym! I've had some personal training, and taken spin, barre and BollyX. The instructors are fabulous! The dressing area is super, I always use the showers. I've never had to wait for a machine or a shower. I wish I had this gym at home! read more

BEWARE: This gym's 30 day cancellation policy actually states that you must cancel 30 days before your billing date. For example, if you submit for cancellation notice on February 2nd, and your billing date is March 1st, you will actually pay for membership THROUGH March 31st. So that would be almost 2 months after you gave notice. Update: I actually submitted on 1/10/2024 and my next billing date is 2/4/2024. So I will be paying for 54 days after I gave notice. Hope this helps! read more

I wanted to LOVE Flow Fitness because the people were so friendly. I signed up for the intro special, and two-thirds of the way through the 30-day trial, I suffered an injury and had to stop attending. I called to let the front desk know I would no longer be coming. The company billed me for the following month and continues to attempt to charge my card. It's been 3 months since my trial. I have contacted them numerous times, and the auto-renewals continue to occur. I cancelled my credit card, but they still try to charge it, so I awake each morning to three emails saying my payment failed. No one responds to my request to reimburse me for the charge for the first month after my free trial, nor to stop trying to charge my card. The front desk staff are always friendly, but they say they can't do anything about it, but will "talk to the manager." I know this can be easily resolved; they need to attend to it. read more

I wouldn't recommend this gym. It's pricey, overcrowded, machinery is often broken, and worst of all there are drain flies in the showers and have been for many months (no effort to get rid of them?). Update: manager contacted me asking me to change review since the drain flies were eradicated months ago. Posted update with proof they're still there. read more

Flow fitness offers everything you need for your fitness routine in a location that is convenient if you live/work in the SLU area. The have a diverse amount of cardio, free weight, weight machines, and body weight equipment. At peak times the space can feel cramped due to the amount of people who use this gym, but it on the weekend or not between 5-7 pm on weekdays the space feels very comfortable. They also offer a fitness classes (dance, spin, weight, boot camp, yoga) if you want to mix up your routine or are motivated by working out with others. Amenities: clean locker rooms, day use lockers (bring your own lock), towels, showers, soaps, hair ties, lotion, mouth wash, and even a dry sauna. As a female, I have no problem showering and having everything I need to get myself ready for the rest of my day. I've attended this gym through class pass (both fitness classes and just gym time). The staff is friendly and attentive and doesn't treat me any different. If there memberships were a little cheeper (this is why only 4 starts vs 5), I would probably join as a full member. read more

Been a member of this gym for a little while now and it's been great. My two favorite trainers have been Bleu (Team Conditioning, Personal Training) and Alicia (Cycling). Bleu is a great guy who cares about the gym, the people he is training, and generally everyone around him. His classes are always entertaining because he's fun to be around. I'd always take a class taught by Bleu or grab a drink with him. Alicia is someone whose classes I'd recommend if you are truly trying to invest in your fitness, because she is ready to invest in your progress. I've been going to her class for a little while now and it's helped me tremendously. Do her classes kick my butt? Absolutely. Are they entertaining, challenging, and leave me feeling proud of what I've accomplished? Yep. Plus it helps that she plays amazing music throughout. My only (minor) complaint about Flow Fitness is that their membership options don't really make sense to me. Basically you can choose between a membership which limits how often you can come to the gym per month (12 times I think), one which gives you unlimited gym access and some free classes per month, or one that gives you unlimited gym access and classes. I'd love for them to add an in-between option that gives people unlimited gym access and no-classes per month or just to have more flexibility in these membership packages. read more

This review is from a ClassPass perspective. There aren't many gyms on ClassPass that offer gym time, which I find frustrating. However, I am glad Flow Fitness is one of the few that offers it because it's a great gym! The gym is a good size, and I haven't had any issue of waiting to use equipment during lunch hour or early afternoon. I like the variety of equipment as well: machines, bench rack, smith machine, free weights, barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, TRX, bands, and mats. Some stations have a rag and spray bottle to use after finishing your reps. The locker rooms are stashed with towels, toiletries and hair dryers. I also like how there's a sauna in the locker rooms. It's my favorite way to unwind after a work out. Now, if you're the type that doesn't like to work out solo, Flow does offer fitness classes. So far, I have tried Katherine's Circuit Court class on Fridays. I was a fan of that class! I like the stations she set up and got a good sweat out of it. What makes this gym stand out is the sense of community. Every time I come here, the front desk is pleasant and sometimes the owner will be there and chat with you. The gym does host events. I found this out after a workout awhile back when a lady at the front desk invited me to stay to watch the Seahawks vs Niners game, and that was fun. There is an event coming up on Jan 20 called Ladies Night, where they'll let you sample their barre classes, enjoy snacks and bra fittings by Title Nine. While I can't afford to add a gym membership on top of ClassPass, I love that they offer a day pass for $25. I wish more gyms would do that! read more

This place is great! I have been a handful of times now using my Class Pass, for Zumba, Cycle and gym time. The facility is immaculately clean, and there are great amenities (toiletries in bathrooms, nice showers, saunas, always clean towels, etc)....also, great selection of gym equipment in pristine condition. The classes are ok - energetic instructors who provide good workouts. Staff are super upbeat & welcoming! 5/5 stars for sure! read more

This gym is always crowded in the morning but the classes are great and parking is free. Park in the garage 321 and get that ticket self validated with a stamp on your way out. This gym has towel service and has all the necessities for showering like Q-tips, cotton pads, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and hair tools. There can be a wait for the shower especially after classes but it isn't too long typically. The only classes I've taken are barre, team conditioning, and cycle and core. I liked all three, but team conditioning is best for strength and endurance, since it utilizes things like trx, dumbbells, medicine balls and some times cardio machines with not too much down time. Cycle and core is perfect for the amount of cardio you get (about half hour) and many ab variations on the mat to finish for the last 15 ish minutes. You'll leave with burning abs, and sweaty too. Olivia teaches barre in the morning and she's great with timing and switching up the exercises right at the the moment where you're feeling like your limbs are going to fall off. read more

Awesome gym with all the equipment you need! Their are a variety of classes... the yoga sculpt is not in a hot room so it's a moderate work out. The functional strength is fun if you're looking to have some coaching on using the Olympic bar and kettlebells. I haven't tried the TRX or cable ropes but they really do have all the equipment you need. Gym is clean, chic and accommodating. Womens locker rooms have mouthwash, body lotion, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, towels, blow dryers, lockers, cottonswabs, cottonpads, tampons, hair ties, qtips... fresh water dispenser (I've been to a gym where we had to get water from the sink -_- ) one of my top choices! read more

These guys have the nerve to continue billing during the coronavirus shutdown. They require you to proactively reach out to request a suspension, and then they will only suspend at your request. When you do request that they suspend, they send you an email asking for your pity and asking if you REALLY want to suspend. You must respond to this plea before they action your request. I tried to cancel my membership, as I see it foolish to be asked to pay for a service that I am not receiving. When I did so, they still demanded 30 day notice, and want to continue to charge me. What crappy customer service. if they are this desperate, I cant imagine they will be around for long. I would steer clear of this place. read more

Love love LOVE this gym! Nice amenities, convenient location for me, and new equipment.

First comes the bad things about it: 1. They require a 30-day notice prior to closing the account. And since you have to be charged in whole billing cycles, you'll have to pay anywhere between 30 days and 60 days after you decide to close the account. They claimed that this policy was in the agreement I signed when I joined the membership. I didn't go back and check, but I trust them. However, people don't usually check the agreement and this policy is totally unconventional, irregular, not understandable and doesn't make sense at all. Besides, you have paid for the extra fee (in addition to monthly charges) to join the membership, which is normal, but if you decide not to keep the account active, they can only freeze the account to up to 6 months, otherwise you have to join as a new member and pay the one-time fee again. Totally greedy. 2. Their $169/$159 membership gives the access to training classes, but that doesn't mean you can attend the classes any time you want. There're only 8 spots in each class, and some classes are filled several weeks in advance. You'll have to join the waitlist and likely to have until the class day before knowing if you can attend the class. Or even worse, they'll suggest you to come and see if anyone is absent so that there's an available spot for you. Even if you have registered successfully, that doesn't mean you can forget about it until the class time. Sometimes they make calls to every registered members every day to ask them to confirm if they indeed can make it. Very disturbing. And, once you've registered online, and if you plan not to go, you can't deregister online. You have to make a call and let them know. 3. The trainers are mostly good and professional, but occasionally there're trainers that are obviously under the par. This made me think why would I pay extra and attend the class at the very specific time rather than doing the exercise by my own. 4. Sometimes they don't have enough equipment for every members attending the class. They have limited numbers of dumbbells of each weight, and the most popular ones are not enough to use by the whole class. 5. Their online system is very hard to use. There was a time they upgraded the system, and they left us unable to register classes online for about 2 weeks if I remember correctly. And the reservation website performs problematic inside company VPN. It doesn't allow self-service membership management. Registering classes is confusing. 6. Once they sent out a mass email to all members claiming that they had a free birthday gift (any one food or drink item) for them. They didn't make the correction until 2 days later, and guess what, they said they won't honor the free item unless the member's birthday is indeed nearby. Totally legitimate, but not the way I would expect to correct the error. It costs less than $2 for any food or drink item (despite some of them are priced over $4), but they still didn't want to give it to members who received the emails. Not a big deal, but another demonstration of their greediness. They're not without good side though: 1. Most trainers are professional, friendly, and enthusiastic. They want to help every attendee to get the best performance, and are happy to see attendees making progress. 2. The reception is friendly and willing to help. read more

Flow Fitness - Hidden term: you’ll be billed at least one more billing cycle after you decide to cancel the membership!! - Gyms Near Me - Seattle, Washington

I've been going here for a couple months now and it's a great gym. Perfect location, super clean, enough equipment to get the job done, amazing staff, and never gets too crowded. My main complaint is that they play obnoxiously loud music of niche taste. It's annoying, stressful, and often gives me a headache. Noise canceling headphones are highly recommended but sometimes even they can't complete with the chaos. read more

Just took a class through ClassPass and thought it was amazing! Very well structured and super fun! Staff here is great too (I think Joe or Jeff working the front desk was very helpful and just a great guy). I hoped to give 5 stars but one thing that bothered me was that it was my first day to Flow Fitness and I'm new to cycling so I didn't know some of the basics of how to strap on (as well as the general environment of the room - i.e. which cycle to take, where to get shoes, etc.) - the instructor seemed a bit irked and snappy by all this despite my best efforts and knowing that I was new. She taught the class very well however and was very sweet afterwards - so I'm assuming it was because she had a lot to do in preparation for the class. I'm definitely taking another cycling class so I hope that its a lot easier the second time around. Wonderful otherwise - thanks Flow Fitness! read more

Came here to take a yoga class that I had signed up for on Class Pass. I called in advance to understand the locker room situation (e.g., do I need to bring my own lock) and found the staff to be helpful. When I arrived for my relaxation yoga class, I was a little surprised given how loud the gym is (which, inherently is fine since gyms are not libraries) but figured the room for classes must be in the back or separate. I came in 10 mins early but still felt rushed as the women's locker room was pretty busy and crammed so felt like I was jostling around getting ready - hard to be in a zen mindspace. I found the classroom and grabbed a spot in the back - the instructor was nice and I was happy that it wasn't super crowded. The major downside was, the gym is really loud and so it was hard to hear the instructor, let alone the calming music she was playing. You can hear entire conversations between trainers and their clients as well as every single sound from every machine and everytime someone dropped a weight on the ground. In addition, the room was freezing and so it was hard to relax between the loud noises and the temperature - if anything I felt more on edge after it was over. Won't be coming back here. read more

Since becoming Flow Fitness all I can say is wow! As of late they have added new cardio machines, new weight machines, kettle bells, boxes, TRX bands, cross fit style lifting area, AstroTurf, towel service, wifi, classes and most recent a Monday night football viewing in the lobby. This place is certainly stepping up their game. Not only is the facility improving the staff are great. It is not uncommon to see the GM or the owner there during the day. Additionally the front desk staff are great - kudos to the Natalie the early morning mon-fri staff as she is always there and with a smile on even at 5:30! Here you will certainly get more than you will at any big box gym. Be sure to check it out! read more

So let me begin by saying it's really a 3.5 but since I can't round up to a 4; I have to round down to a 3. The new owner (previously Soul Fitness) genuinely seems to be trying to improve since he took over. Such as what you ask? For starters, there are usually 2-3 people to greet me when I walk in vs. having there be no one. I think he is usually one of them behind the counter. There is now free wifi which I usually couldn't care either way as I'm not there to use wifi but since it is a total dead zone; it is nice to be able to use the wifi when I want to stream music. I tried this out yesterday and it seemed to work well. The immediate things that are noticeable is the added towel service in both the towels when working out & bigger towels for showering. I appreciate being able to have towels available when I had a really great workout and I want to rinse off. In the past, I'd have to haul my clothes, shoes 'and' a towel to be able to shower and that's assuming I was that forward thinking when I left my house that morning. The added amenities in the womens locker rooms are small touches but definitely appreciated (hence the added stars). There are baskets of toiletries as well as hair ties (because we've all forgotten ours at some point). Thursday there were some men hanging out and I didn't know what they were doing. Friday I did cardio and realized that they mounted the new gigantic big screens so that now you can actually see the TV. The previous owner had these sad little screens that you had to be right in front of it or else you couldn't make out what it was. So initial first impression I am glad there is new ownership and he genuinely seems to care about investing in the place. But.. some notes from me? Prices.. The previous owner put a ridiculous clause that he could raise prices at any point (and he did do it) without notice and it caused a lot of people (like myself) to leave. I had actually put in my notice & August was to be my last month but I am attempting to stick it out and see how the club shakes out. There shouldn't be punishment for those who stay on and those who had to deal with shady Glen. It was a terrible experience and honestly lawyers were about to get involved. Equipment.. I know location is smaller and that space is precious. I had asked the front desk once about jump boxes. I was told pretty blankly that there were none and there would never be none. And that I should go use the step classes equipment to 'make' one but that I could only do it in certain times. There is a 24 HR not far down the road that I also belong to (I have a lifetime membership there) and they have everything I could want. I joined Soul because it was extremely close to my office. But I do wish there were things I'd actually use and not just random pieces that no one uses. So I'm going to stick it out for another month or so and see how things go. I am hopeful that new management will recognize the issues and try to get the place turned around. I'll update my review then and I guess decide if I want to stay or hoof it down the road for better equipment. read more

Flow is honestly one of the best gyms, if not the best gym in Seattle. Friendly employees, clean facilities, good quality equipment, nice spaces. The gym is nice and policies are not. I would strongly encourages others to look elsewhere. You are paying a high price for a gym that does not put their members first. They require a 30 day notice for cancellations, which is reasonable. They do however, charge you the full amount for any charges within the following 30 days. I would expect them to charge you for the remaining 30 days but not any more. I am aware that I have access to the gym for the remaining 56 days of my membership. The policy is clearly in place to allow the gym to make more money. Update after Owner commented: I do not care if it's a standard in the industry. I care about patronizing businesses that look out for their customers, it's a two-way street. No, apartment rentals are not the same. You usually have to pay a penalty breaking the lease but you only pay rent for while you live there. read more

I LOVE this gym. They have great deals for Amazonians and of course, it's right in the heart of SLU! Really nice and clean gym with a variety of classes included in your membership! I love having the convenience of hopping in for a quick 30 minute run during lunch or sign up for a class when I don't want to be stuck in traffic! The staff is great and I love how they aren't overly pushy with committing to personal training sessions. The locker room is amazingly convenient because you have everything you need to get cleaned up after a good workout! If you work or live in the area, this is a great gym to choose! Left 24 hour fitness as it wasn't as convenient. This one is great! And they open early! read more

I completely agree with what MGhost W. and what some other members have said. The "30 day notice for cancellation" rule is unconventional and irregular. The business owner 'Justin Y.' responded and claimed that this rule is 'standard not only in the industry but across all contracts,' this statement is vague and, I believe, inaccurate. For all the gyms I have been a member of (24 hour fitness for example), I have never had to simultaneously be forced to be charged in full month billing cycles and submit a 30-day notice prior to cancelling at the same time. The receptionist on the phone claimed that this rule is due to they 'not wanting all the finances to be dropped at the same time', which does not really make sense to me. Some other downsides of this gym: 1. Not enough equipments. There are only two benches for bench press, for the amount of money that I am paying per month, I would expect at least not having to wait 20 minutes every Monday before I could get some bench press done. 2. Too expensive. Why pay $100 a month when you can go right down the street and workout at 24 hour for $40 a month with no contract? Upsides: 1. The gym is relatively well maintained. The weights are new and they have the weight clamps even (major plus). 2. People are nice. read more

I was a member at Flow Fremont from their opening until they shut down during COVID-19. I've missed Flow so much this year! I miss Jessie's classes the most, and I'm hoping she'll have a regularly scheduled cycle or cycle/combo class soon! I also just took a class with Andi for the first time and she is fantastic! Terrible pricing for what is offered. $100 a month to gouge Amazon employees. They used to have Yoga included in the membership but now thats an extra $25 a month. They have recently improved the floor by adding more of both of those, but charging so much a month for just a free gym is insane. read more

Love them! Clean, towel service, newish equipment and a sauna. Minus one star because there used to be an awesome masseuse here and he was driven out due to a change in management and the exorbitant increase in his rent that the new management proposed. Such a shame, because it wasn't the right thing to do for their customers. ...But I still love it here and can't imagine working out elsewhere! Awesome gym with plenty of space, equipment, and classes. The facility was nice with showers, full amenities, and sauna. I came for the Training Camp: Strength class with Lesley at noon. The class isn't held in a room or anything. It's in the back corner of the gym. Noticed that the gym was not too packed during lunch hour. Lesley was amazing! She was the first to introduce me to barbells and was very helpful in correcting my form and challenging me to push harder. Even for the non-barbell strength exercises, she helped me in figuring out ways for me to succeed while still pushing me, like introducing me to assisted pull-ups. Definitely a class I would love to come back to when I'm in Seattle. read more
