This is my third time going to EM for PT care, and I continue to be impressed by the skill and attentiveness in the providers. I love the team model they use, and really feel supported in getting the most effective treatment because of it. In this sequence, I've only worked with Gabby so far. It's been 10/10 from the careful attention to my issues and figuring out the right pace to the personable professionalism. There are no guarantees in healthcare and I don't want to get ahead of myself, but I've been dealing with chronic pain for a few years and had kind of given up. I'd give 5 stars to Experience Momentum and 10 stars to my trainer Brysten James if I could. 2 months into peak MTB season and 3 months before an intimidating invasive pelvic surgery, I set out to finally sort out muscle imbalances and mobility/flexibility limitations that were not only holding me back in the sport I love but also seemed important to address leading up to what would be an extended surgical recovery. In my ideal scenario I'd be working with a team comprising a physiotherapist and a personal trainer, who partner up to ensure I'm thoroughly and expertly assessed and co-create a personalized treatment and training plan that targets my areas of weakness. Doubtful that such a unicorn place exists where the two coexist under the same roof, I figured I'd have to do a lot of juggling and co-management to make that happen. Until I came across Experience Momentum. Based on my goals and activity interests I got paired with Brysten, who has been nothing short of incredible to work with. I've never been the hardcore athletic type and bro-y gym culture intimidates me, and Brysten's warm, knowledgeable approach set my mind at ease 2 minutes into our the initial assessment session. Brysten has been absolutely incredible in every possible way: he's a thoughtful listener, puts time and effort into crafting personalized training routines (including consulting with his colleagues on the physical therapy side when my body's quirks stump us both), and strikes that perfect balance every single session of meeting me where I'm at while gently pushing me into that space just beyond what I think I'm capable of. Over about 2.5 months of working with Brysten I've seen huge improvements in my range of motion and exactly the functional strength gains I was hoping for. I feel more balanced and strong than I ever did working out on my own or with Barre, and I leave each session inspired and just plain happy that I showed up (because let's be honest, I definitely had several of those "ugh I have to go work out" days in there - thank you, perimenopause). My surgical recovery has been easier than I ever could have hoped, much of which I can directly attribute to exact exercises Brysten focused on with me leading up to it. I'm excited to return as soon as I'm cleared and can't wait to see what my "unathletic" body is capable of as I continue on this journey. Been going here for a while now and I absolutely love it. I find their classes way better than other gyms and classes I've been to (I explored the larger Seattle area for a long time before settling on this one). Patrick and Anthony are great coaches and every workout has a unique kick to it. I workout daily in some way and some capacity either going on runs or lifting at LA Fitness, and switching it up with 3 workouts a week at Experience Momentum has helped add a level of variety that I need for cross training. I started going when it opened. They were great when they needed patients. The facility is great and the clinicians are usually good. It's front desk where they are lacking. I get that they are usually busy, it's just that whatever is on that computer takes priority. After standing around waiting once I finally asked if they prefer me to email that computer for an appt and they said "yeah-why don't you." So over email, often no one responded until the second attempt or they never confirm so you have to keep resending and still nothing so you have to call. The cancelation list is a black hole, you have to call back and insist on an appointment...year after year. Also don't ask simple questions, like how much is my 60 minute massage? A: I have no way to know. Thank you! Why don't customer facing individuals feel the need to explain the system to patients. I've been waiting 2 weeks for an appointment, I reminded them and they gave me dates for another 8 days out. Forget it. read more

I recently completed a second round of PT with them and couldn't be more impressed with the quality of care and people there. I worked with Tyler, Dave and Robby for several weeks as they helped me regain strength and mobility in my hip. Kelsey and Becky with help from support staff became a team that turned my ski disaster hip dislocation into a cool hottub story for the homies. I have nothing but amazing things to say about Experience Momentum! Having on again - off again debilitating lower back pain for the last 4-5 years and mediocre experiences with previous physical therapists in trying to fix and heal that lower back pain, I wasn't really sure what to expect. I had become so used to living with my back pain that I thought I was someone who was always going to have lower back issues. However, from my very first appointment to my last one, my physical therapists focused on what I wanted to get out of PT and what my goals were for the future, which I really appreciated. I worked with Dr. Laura Mizumoto, Dr. Nancy Pickett, and Dr. Cat Mooney-Meyers and my experience with each one of them was 10/10. I really liked how they collaborated together to help me identify what was contributing to my back pain, fix that and then, in turn, help me build my strength back up again! I truly enjoyed going to my PT appointments and at the end of each week I could see myself progressing, getting stronger, and getting back to normal. Thank you Laura, Nancy, and Cat!! Going to EM for physical therapy also helped me find EM Fitness! Once I wrapped up my time on the physical therapy side of things, I went directly into their fitness classes. After ACL reconstruction surgery, I went to Experience Momentum for my rehab. I like playing lacrosse, basketball, skiing, biking, golfing, running, etc etc, and I was pretty nervous that I may not be able to do these things for a while, or maybe never at the level I was accustomed to. I can happily say that I am back to doing all the things that I love at a high level, with complete confidence, and I attribute this to the amazing staff at Experience Momentum. They're absolute pros. They were able to tailor a recovery plan for me to get back to the things that I specifically wanted to be doing. They were supportive throughout the entire rehab process. I actually enjoyed going to PT because of the upbeat environment. I worked with numerous people there, and all of them were phenomenal. I didn't realize how much I would be able to learn about my body, movement, and overall fitness from the sessions at Experience Momentum. I've already recommended Experience Momentum to multiple friends. They've had the same great experience. I have nothing but stellar things to say about the dietician, physical therapy, and bike fit services provided at EM. Not only are the individual practitioners extremely capable and professional, but their compensation system (presumably?) encourages them to collaborate with each other. This means that no one is possessive about clients, and if they feel someone else has more expertise, they will either consult their colleagues to improve the guidance they provide or they will refer you all together. This fluidity means that the quality of your care is genuinely prioritized and you'll actually receive the best care that EM as a whole can offer! Additionally, I just have to give a specific shout-out about EM's PT team. I had previously worked with hospital PTs in the past to address my chronic foot pain due to a running injury, but the pain never really went away. I can't quite express the difficulty and sense of loss I experienced from being runner who couldn't run anymore. But when I started PT at EM, Laura identified my issues, and much to my surprise, I felt things starting to turn around within a month. After she took leave, Nancy took over and continued working with me. And now that I'm planning to pick up running again, I've been referred to a PT with experience with running assessments. To start from thinking that I was a lost cause to making plans to race again is an inexplicable feeling! It's turned me into an obnoxious ambassador for PT to all my friends =) When you make an appointment, be clear about what your goals are, and they will pair you with the provider who is the best fit. I was nervous to start physical therapy during a shelter-in-place order, but my telehealth experience was wonderful and I'm really pleased the results. My physical therapist Dr. Nancy Pickett was easygoing and attentive, and every time we worked together I felt improvement in my shoulder pain. Nancy provided detailed instructions for at-home stretches and exercises to use on my own, and she checked in at the top of each virtual session with a few stretches to determine the day's pain and mobility level. After about two months of meeting weekly she suggested we meet every other week. I felt like she cared about me as a person, and I never felt pressured to do more than I felt capable of doing. I'm so happy to say that after three months of working with Nancy, I can perform all my Flamenco drills and arm movements pain-free! Shout-out to the excellent office staff who managed all the insurance stuff and kept the technology seamless. I'll definitely come back to Experience Momentum. read more

Overall had an excellent experience at Experience Momentum! I worked primarily with Nick and Becky, who were both excellent, supportive, and very knowledgeable. My foot was in terrible shape when I first started doing PT, and now is substantially better. I would definitely return here for future PT needs! Regarding front office staff, everyone I interacted with was very pleasant and helpful. The only exception would be the person in charge of billing (who I never actually met in person) - when there were issues with my insurance, the billing person wouldn't answer my calls for weeks at a time despite me reaching out numerous time which was frustrating. Everything eventually got resolved but it would have been helpful to have better communication at that time. read more

I've taken CrossFit at a few different gyms and Experience Momentum has them all beat! From the check in process to the coaching, they are superior to the other gyms I've been to. Anthony in particular is a fantastic coach!! There can be 15 people in the class but I always feel like he's paying attention to me. This place is an experience. Not just in the fitness, but the staff as well. From the receptionist, all the way to the training coaches, personal trainers, physical therapists, and nutritionists. These guys bring the energy and passionate about their expertise. We came to the grand opening, sampled some classes, did the Murph on Memorial Day. They've been a pleasure to get to know and are overall results driven. Love the space. Downstairs is where the boot camp and CrossFit classes are. Upstairs is where most of the personal training takes place. They have restrooms with showers. There's open cubbies to store your gear but there's a person at the front desk keeping tabs on everything. It's a great community. No need to be shy! read more

I cannot say enough positive things about Experience Momentum. I joined their fitness program 3 years ago at the Lynnwood location and was blown away by the amazing staff and coaches there. They know how to push and challenge you, but in a safe way for your body. So many injuries occur when we as individuals don't listen to what our body is trying to tell us. So it is important to identify those moments and you can tell them that "hey I am just not feeling this movement today" that is 100% ok and they will help you find a modification that works for you. Even though I am mostly in the Crossfit/fitness area, the PTs, Massage Specialists and front desk staff really take the time to say hi, get to know you on a first name basis. The people who come to EM are equally amazing. What keeps me coming back is the community feel. I have created wonderful friendships here. I started PT at the Lynnwood location in 2011 to rehab an old knee injury. Slowly, as my knee improved, I was introduced to their classes and loved it. As my mobility improved, I wanted to improve other parts of my life and started seeing their nutrition consultant. After losing 60-ish pounds, I was introduced to sports and never looked back! The old couch potato in me is gone. I have utilized their physical therapy, registered dieticians, coaching, massage and gym membership (mostly CrossFit, but cycle, yoga and other fitness classes as well) over the years and they don't disappoint. With their help, I've lost 80+ pounds and completed Ironman Arizona in 2017. (I didn't know what a "triathlon" was in 2011!). They have given me the tools to live an active life and sometimes I surprise myself as to where life takes me. What sets them apart for me is just how much they care. There is always a hug or someone asking me about my day, even if they aren't treating or coaching me. They make you feel like family. I am so excited about their new Fremont location and plan to visit their classes soon. I can personally attest that Dr. Geoff Gabler is fantastic and he rehabbed my latest injury until his move to Fremont. read more

I've been going to Experience Momentum for 9 months now (recovering from ACL surgery), and they've been phenomenal. I've worked with just about every PT they have on staff at their Fremont location, as well as their Nutritionist, Nicole, and they're all incredibly knowledgeable and kind. They genuinely take the time to get to know you, your lifestyle, and your injury, in order to create a treatment plan that will best suit you. And the results speak for themselves. I'm a very active person, and I was expecting to be kept out of my sports for upwards of a year due to this surgery. But with their help, I was back to serious half marathon training in less than 6 months. In fact with Nicole's nutrition advice, I'm now running even stronger than I had been pre surgery! Experience Momentum is one of the most amazing organizations I have ever worked with. I started working with Kelsey and Cat for PT in their Fremont location. They approach any issue you have very holistically so they are not just treating the symptom, but the root cause. Now many places say they do this, and they may. But EM does it VERY well in addition to the other things about this organization that has made me fall in love with this place. Everyone I have met there is extremely friendly and customer oriented. I feel so welcome and appreciated every time I come in, not only from the PT, but also from the customer service staff, who always greet you by name and know who your PTs are and your specific scheduling needs. Another unbelievable experience was when I called just before my appointment to say my car battery was dead and I couldn't come in. They seamlessly switched me to a virtual appointment. At first I thought it would be useless, but it was actually a great experience as your PT can then help you work through any exercise modifications you may need as a result of the specific equipment you have in your house. It was fantastic! I understand they can do fully virtual if that is what you prefer. Last, they have a huge amount of equipment in their facility, so there is always something new to try. As someone who has been going to PT for quite sometime as I battle a chronic issue, I can hands-down say they are the best of the best. Another amazing strategy they have is they set you up with a team, and not just an individual therapist. The benefit of this is you have more scheduling openings. Now, some people may think this is a negative as you might lose continuity, but it is clear they keep extensive notes and talk regularly face to face - everything I would say to one person one day was followed by the other person the next day. Their strategy of teaming is incredibly cohesive. Oh, I forgot to mention their online portal where your exercises are stored is very intuitive, has video and allows the PT to enter notes with modifications. They will also give you paper copies if you want. I have also used their Nutrition and Massage services and have amazing things to say about them also, but I'll do that in a different review. read more

I've been going to Experience Momentum in Fremont for over almost a year. The team there both at the gym and the clinic take extraordinary care and provide dedicated attention to each individual's needs/goals. I really enjoy how the community there takes a holistic approach to health and well-being. Specifically, I really appreciate the massage group and Katie Diaz who I regularly see. I went in with lower back pain, which has since subsided, but I still continue to see the team for maintenance and still see Katie as she always finds ways to continue to help with recovery. I have been working with Mackenzie, the nutritionist, for about 2 months now. She's the first nutritionist I have ever worked with and I have nothing but positive experiences with her. She really took her time to get to know me, and not once I felt pressured or discouraged from sharing my goals and where I want to be in my journey with food and my weight. Her philosophy is really about whole-food and through our sessions, we discussed easy snacks ideas, meal prep recipes, and we set very small but reachable goals each sessions, and it could be food related or lifestyle related (ways to go to sleep earlier, how to lower stress levels and etc). She sends me all the notes and recipes on time, which I appreciate every much. Every time we meet, I just feel really comfortable talking about how my week went, progress or not. Each session is about 1 hour long and honestly, it flows quickly and I always felt good afterwards. I don't know about other nutritionist, but Mackenzie has been amazing :) I'm planning on continue my bi-weekly session with her and I'm excited to see where I can be in the next few months. I worked with the Experience Momentum team for ~7 months rehabbing a pretty serious knee injury, and I cannot recommend them enough. I worked primarily with Geoff, but over the months also got to work with Stephanie, Laura, Nick, and Nancy -- they are all fantastic. In addition to being really knowledgable and fun to work with, I also really appreciated the emphasis on coordination of care. Hand-offs PT to PT were seamless, as was the communication with my surgical team. The entire vibe of the gym/clinic is so welcoming (shout out to Megan and Maddie at the front desk) and if I hadn't moved cities, I would still be a client even after "graduating" from PT. Having had PT elsewhere for a different reason several years ago, I wasn't expecting much when my orthopedist recommended PT vs. surgery for my hip. From my call to inquire about Covid-19 precautions to PT sessions with DPTs Nick, Nancy, and Geoff, I have nothing but raves for their team-based professional expertise, and invaluable improvement in my quality of life.
