Before scheduling my first appointment, I called them multiple times and left messages (can't get ahold of anyone) asking if they could confirm the cost using my insurance info. (I checked with my insurance first and they confirmed that this provider was in network, but told me to have them verify appointment cost). Never heard back. With multiple locations and multiple skilled physical therapists, Salmon Bay is our go to for physical therapy. My husband and I are 79 and 75 respectively. We greatly value our mobility and independence. Salmon Bay therapists have guided us over the years to recover from injuries and surgeries (2 hip replacements last year). I have worked primarily with Andi but have happily worked with other therapists at Salmon Bay, as has my husband. She was very attentive to a patient's needs, and very easy to talk to . She was quick to identify my bad postures, and gave me home-exercises which improved my my bad habits in order to eliminate or reduce my physical pain. I've been going to SBPT for over two years now after tearing my ACL and then meniscus in back to back years. I've spent that time with Grant Hennington (who I wholeheartedly recommend), but having been here so often I've also gotten to know a lot of the other PTs by face and demeanor (if not by name). Had an ankle injury that I have had 2 surgeries for. I didn't go here for that [unfortunately]. However I was a little too reliant on my cane and messes up my shoulder. That's what I came here for. Because this is a satellite injury on an L&I claim it took over a year to get in to get it worked on. After just 2 sessions the difference has been notable. I've been going for over a month and only have a few appointments left, and look forward to having most if not full use of my arm/shoulder again. What I am not looking forward to is leaving them. I have been a client of Salmon Bay PT for about two years. I had originally had fell off a latter about 14feet up in the air and when I lost my balance, I dropped with only flip-flops on & the floor that I fell onto was cement. Well I crushed both of my heels and was an able to walk for about a year. Thinking I new how to walk properly, I would rehabilitate my ankles on my own. Well what a mistake that ended up to be. I just ended up with more problems. Since my doctor had recommend Salmon Bay and Tucker to help improve my way of life he has been wonderful. PT Claire is very kind and listens attentively to my feedback. She is cautious when appropriate, but also pushes me to do more. She trusts me to do well on my own, which may not be a good pairing for someone who is not motivated on their own, but she may be different with someone who needs more supervision. I only know how she acts with me. I really like her, and the staff has all been very kind to me. I went last summer, and again this winter, and would go again if necessary. read more

The care and treatment I have received at Salmon Bay Physical Therapy has been top notch, not only from my physical therapist Tucker, but the entire team which includes the front office staff!!! I am recovering from surgery and Tucker is extremely knowledgeable, skilled, understanding and encouraging. These are important qualities when you are in recovery. He also has a wonderful sense of humor which greatly helps to keep my mind off any discomfort or pain I may feel during therapy. I highly recommend Salmon Bay PT. I broke my tibia and fibula in March and spent about eight weeks of rehab with the team at Salmon Bay. I saw Tucker, Andi, and Chris because of my changing schedule and really liked working with all of them. One of the best parts of Salmon Bay is that it offers full hour long appointments and the PTs spend the entire hour with you, instead of being handed off to an assistant. During my hour long appointments, we would focus on increasing joint mobility, working and strengthening and balance exercises, as well as helping the skin and muscle tissue recover from the surgery. The team was encouraging and kept me focused on my goal of running by August. I took my first run around Green Lake the other day! read more

Salmon Bay Physical Therapy is one of the few therapy places left where you will receive one on one treatment by a physical therapist your entire visit (no aides working with you)! I have been to many different Physical Therapy facilities, and I have never gotten this one on one treatment every visit. I suffered a severe pelvic fracture over 3 months ago. Andi, the PT I see there, has figured out how to help my pelvic pain go away. She really knows her stuff. She has done remarkable things to help me heal and also help my pain go away. I was totally bummed out about my injury. Around July 1st 2013, I climbed (and fell) resulting in a pretty serious compound fractures--breaking my tibia, fibula, foot, ankle and Pilon--a peculiarly necessary piece looking like a mortar and pestle that fits into your ankle. I also had extensive nerve problems, cartilage and tendon, scar tissue, severe swelling and other troubles resulting from injury immobilization and surgery. My Orthopedic surgeons said this was the second most difficult operations they perform (and it felt like it.... ) Then around eight weeks post-surgery they wanted me to shop for a physical therapist. THAT is the all-important phase when your rehab really begins, when your physical therapy starts. I arrived at Salmon Bay Physical therapy clinic--hungry for knowledge and recovery. Amber and Chris immediately made me feel at ease and "got it" my problems were quickly analyzed and we got going on a program to get me going. Impressively they understood the psychological and well as the physical aspects of injury (you are scared, hurt, and wary of moving something that your first instincts tell you not to move because of pain, etc... THIS is IMPORTANT! If there are two things you really need in this condition - it is encouragement and encouragement. Chris's enthusiasm for was contagious and I could tell he loved his profession. I realized the uphill battle I face getting "back on the horse" but the crew at Salmon Bay PT has definitely been a HUGE help. I could tell they wanted to get me up moving and exercising and hopefully back in action. I am currently working with Lisa another fabulous Physical Therapist. I worked with Scott at Salmon Bay Physical Therapy to rehab after knee replacement surgery. He was very kind and encouraging. He started me out slowly and kept challenging me a little more at each session, but not too much that I couldn't handle it. I did something weird while working on the plane and pulled my neck muscle. This caused migraine like headaches for 10 days and I couldn't do a thing. Katie is my lifesaver! I felt tremendous relief after my first session and after the a couple of weeks I got back 50-60% of my neck movement. I only wish I went to her sooner. I recently completed 8 weeks of physical therapy for sciatica at Salmon Bay with Tucker and would really recommend Salmon Bay P.T. Nice friendly atmosphere, convenient neighborhood location with easy parking. I thought the sciatica would never go away but Tucker developed a therapuetic exercise program which really helped. I was referred to her by my doctor after having visited multiple physical therapy specialists when I was desperate to put myself together after a car accident. I was so impressed by her highly competent and effective approach, not to mention her warm and cheerful personality, that when Salmon Bay PT was founded, I followed Andy and became her eternal patient. It's difficult to say enough that is positive. I was hit by a car in 1998 and have had surgery and numerous levels of care for sciatic pain since then. I've seen many physical therapists and back pain specialists, but in pairing with my doctor and Salmon Bay Physical Therapy, I found more relief than I'd ever had. The entire staff is courteous and professional, and their level of expertise and explanations of what they were doing was impressive to me. I have a good basic knowledge of the central nervous system and appreciated being treated as a professional and being given as much information as I could digest. I was very excited to receive a doctor's referral to Salmon Bay after I read the positive Yelp reviews, and I felt very optimistic going in to my initial appointment. However, the reality fell short of my expectations. Things started well with a very cheery greeting at the front desk, but the appointment itself was disjointed at best. This was an initial consultation for treatments following an injury, and without clearing with me in advance of the appointment, they made their intern the primary person on my case. During the appointment the supervising physical therapist, who failed to introduce himself, was largely quiet other than nodding approbation at the intern as she gazed at him expectantly after she tentatively performed each step, or briefly speaking to her as I if was not even present. While I appreciate that everyone needs to get experience at some point, I think I should have been asked about this in advance. For an initial consultation at least, I really would have preferred to receive the hands on experience and advice of one of the on staff experts. Otherwise, one might as well go in to an outpatient clinic at a school for a discounted fee. I am not critiquing the intern who seemed very nice, and I would certainly have been willing to let the intern get practice during subsequent visits, but this seemed wholly inappropriate as a starting point to build on for success. I personally did not have confidence in the tentative examination approach combined with the impersonal attitude of the supervising therapist, and I felt like I left with few explanations and a general feeling of unease in the process . It is a shame, since I really thought they would be able to help me based on other reviews. I know what a positive impact a good physical therapist can have on injury recovery, having consulted with a different clinic several years ago for a different injury. read more

I was seen by PT Grant Hennington and was completely impressed by how thorough and professional he was when accessing my injury. He tested range of motion, my strength, running gait and asked about my pain levels all while listening to my perspective and journey as an athlete.
