Love tennis, hate the consequences that come with it. I had nagging problems that have bothered me for years. I booked the appointment with many other PTs before and while the knowledge is all pretty much the same, the charisma and feeling like a patient is a friend rather than a means to an end, really helped in my decision. I met with Kris for my preliminary, and within about 5, maybe 10 minutes he knew exactly what I needed, what a good exercise regimen was, and we started to treat my areas of pain immediately. I've been seeing Marielle for pregnancy and postpartum pelvic floor PT and have been amazed her knowledge. She is the 3rd pelvic floor PT that I have seen postpartum, and she has been a wonderful partner to have in my recovery. She has helped me to identify several issues that have prevented my body from recovering quickly, and I have used her advice to help my personal trainer better tailor my strengthening exercises to my body's needs. I am going back to GPT for the 4th time in 6 years. As a very active person I've had a few bumps/breaks and thank goodness for this group. All providers have wowed me. I was referred to GPT by two friends and had six weeks of PT after recovering from foot surgery. They are taking in person appointments and have a super friendly and super hygenic set-up during these COVID-19 days. Matt was the therapist I worked with, the attention and exercises he provided were very helpful and he had me back on my feet (literally) in a manner of weeks. I was just beginning to walk when I first started PT and towards the end I was able to return to biking and jogging. Great experience all the way around-- very kind and helpful staff, smooth appointment scheduling, on-line platform to review exercises and thorough screening with temp checks and hand washing, plus wearing masks of course, to make sure everyone inside the office is safe. I've been a client here for 3.5 years, with three different therapists (one who is no longer with GPT, and Jenny and Hannah, who are both still there). I've been so impressed with their therapists' skill. I've been to places where your therapist may be seeing several people at once, and an assistant is just counting your reps--here it's always one on one, and the therapists are really skilled at assessing your needs as you recover. I've found the PTs here better than my PCP at diagnosing me and aiding in recovery-- for sciatica, a sports-related knee injury, and a throwing overuse injury. Scheduling and billing is easy here. I threw out my back last summer and was looking for a good PT nearby. I highly recommend GPT--Matt helped to shepherd my back out of pain and back to its regular self, along with exercises to do at home to strengthen my core to help prevent injury in the future. GPT is the best physical therapy center I've been to (and I've been to a few). Mallory was truly outstanding - including diagnosing longstanding ergonomic issues, and never invalidating my pain as "just in my head". Compared to other offices I've visited, this one is quite private, no sitting in a big room with a dozen other patients. The therapist worked with me the entire time - even when I was given exercises to try, she observed and suggested adjustments (in other places, I was told to do my exercise and the therapist would just come back later). Billing was easy and the front desk staff are on top of their game. I don't actually WANT to come back to physical therapy, but if I ever have to again, I know where I'll go first. read more

Jeni and Hannah at GPT Ravenna are the best! They not only helped me strengthen muscles and even out imbalances, they also taught me a ton about biomechanics and how to properly engage muscles. I've worked with other PTs in the past and done Iyengar yoga for years, but it turns out I never really knew how to engage my core! Jeni and Hannah also worked with me on applying proper movement to my usual outdoor activities. Due to their great work, I went from writhing on the floor with a slipped disc to climbing and skiing Mt St Helens in 6 weeks! I am a senior citizen and did my post-knee replacement PT at GPT Ravenna. I had an excellent experience, and a relatively speedy recovery (my therapist was extremely savvy in knee replacement post-op). After the 1st session (just a couple of days after the operation), I got rid of my crutches and within a couple of months I was back skiing. The GPT staff were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and guided me to a fast and comfortable recovery. I recommend them without reservation. read more

After being diagnosed with Adhesive Capsulitis (frozen shoulder) in 2020 I was not only in a great deal of pain, unable to sleep comfortably or easily complete simple daily tasks such as getting dressed, but was feeling under educated about my condition or its causes. Before being referred to physical therapy, I was emotionally pretty low. GPT Ravenna made all the difference in my physical and mental health since then. From the friendly, efficient front desk staff to the most wonderful PT in the world, Hannah W, I cannot tell you how happy I am with the healthcare I'm receiving. My initial few sessions were over Zoom (my preference during Covid) and I was skeptical, but Hannah jumped right into assessing my condition and demonstrating exercises and pointers to get a good night's sleep, not deterred by the video conferencing. We've met in person over the course of many months since then and I'm happy to report an enormous increase in range of motion, a return to activities I enjoy such as swimming, pain relief and personal education about the condition. Hard work and Hannah's gift as a therapist and educator are paying off. She's gone on to additionally help with feet and neck issues as well. I cannot recommend the GPT Ravenna clinic enough. We had a really good experience with GPT on 65th in the Ravenna office. My son, who was injured playing soccer, was matched with Matt, a therapist who also plays soccer. His therapist was very friendly, empathetic and clearly understood what my son was going through. Because they both shared a passion for soccer Matt and my son were able to bond from the very beginning and communicated more easily. Matt made therapy positive and always kept my son motivated. This was my son's first therapy experience. I'm glad it was positive. My son was always happy to go to his therapy, regardless of the amount of 'boring' repetitive exercises required. Matt made it fun. I, as a parent, felt confident that we were at the right place. I never felt that I was asking too many questions. Everyone at GPT was very nice and helpful.
