After a few sessions of PT at a different provider to rehab my repaired rotator cuff it was obvious they preached "no pain, no gain". Then I asked Dzuka to take my case and I received the most careful and painless recovery ever. He is the go-to guy for shoulders; incredibly knowledgable and nice guy, too. I got referred here because I was having some pain walking due to being 3rd trimester being pregnant and my doc said they do prenatal pt. I initially connected with them back in August and had an initial teledoc to talk about my pain points and what they can help with. I really liked the physical therapist that connected with me as she has a lot of experience with pregnant women. I tried to make a follow up meeting by emailing my new client paperwork but never got a response. I called and asked when they will be available and also emailed but got no response again. I emailed again (and by then it's September) the front desk says they're not available till December. That defeats the whole purpose of me scheduling an appointment when my baby is due Nov 7th. I was really dissatisfied with their customer service of not really getting back to me in a timely manner or at least give me a heads up that they won't be available till December instead of me waiting from August to today to only find out they're not available. I highly do not recommend this facility as they lack prompt communication skills read more

I had an emotionally trying pregnancy bookended by two deaths in my immediate family. I work in a sedentary profession sitting 8-16 hours a day in front of many computer screens. Preparing my body and mind for the grave task of childbirth was a daunting, seemingly insurmountable task under my circumstances. A task that Darshana Naik took on and completed with grace, skill, expertise, and compassion. Despite my starting point, my labor and delivery were truly (especially in hindsight) high points of my pregnancy journey thanks in no small part to Darshana's work. Although I was induced, my body went into active labor on its own, my water broke in its own. I labored actively for 3.5 hours, and by the time I asked for the epidural, my doctor said that my daughter's head was visible! Ten short minutes of pushing later, I had given birth without pain medication intervention and was holding my daughter on my chest. Thanks to the months of work I did with Darshana's guidance each step of the way, my body was prepared for and my mind was well-informed of the job it had to do that day. I started seeing Dzuka Lin at the beginning of the year for knee pain associated with running. The initial scheduling process was fast and easy! I generally prefer to do most of my scheduling online - their staff was very responsive to my online inquiry and highly accommodating. Further scheduling was a breeze & the front desk gal is super friendly. Dzuka was very friendly and fun! I fully appreciate his willingness to explain things and listen to all my concerns, even when I felt like I had no idea what I was talking about. Every appointment felt more like progress than work with Dzuka's positive encouragement. (and he makes for good conversation) I feel like I have the tools to move forward to prevent further knee issues. I started working with Darshana for Pelvic Floor/Women's Health PT at 6 weeks postpartum. I am thankful I found her and that I worked with someone after having a baby. Darshana was thorough, kind, and spent time with me every session explaining everything. I brought my son to my first appointments and her and the office were courteous and kind. I highly encourage every postpartum mom see a Physical Therapist and highly recommend Darshana. I would highly recommend booking your appointments a month at a time. This is in regards to billing issues... not the actual services performed by Emily... which were excellent. I will never go back here. This has been a billing nightmare. I received physical therapy last September and just received a revised bill today..... confusing since I received a voicemail in December/ January apologizing for this mess and stating that I would probably never receive a bill and that the whole thing would probably be 'written off' by the business.... although this clearly didn't happen it shouldn't have been suggested that it might happen.... why get my hopes up? It is not my fault that they have had a dispute with United Healthcare about how their practitioners are classified (in-network vs. out-of-network.) 1. I did not receive my first bill from them till about 5 weeks after I first started my PT. 2. The verbal estimate of costs did not at all match what the actual costs were. 3. The accounting person did not return my calls at first and could not give me clear and honest answers about what was going on with my bill. 4. The whole thing was extremely stressful and impacted my ability to receive proper and timely care. 5. I kept being told one thing by one person and another by another person at this office. The communication between people in the office seemed strained. 6. I had to spend hours on the phone with United Healthcare when the issues were between this office and United Healthcare and involved multiple patients and if certain doctors were in-network or not in-network..... it wasn't just my claims that were all wrong. Ultimately I am very disappointed in the way this was handled and have waiting 8 months to write this review... waiting to reserve my judgment till it was 'resolved'. read more

Let's get Physical Physical (therapy) I wanna get Physical...let's get into physical let me see your body heal... your body heal. Okay... enough of my Olivia revival but keep in mind it is important. I was in a bad car accident in 2016 and saw many many doctors. Action Reaction Physical therapy was my place after moving to Maple Leaf. I had ankle, back, neck, leg, arm...you name it I had it...well earned from having my car hit and rolled (MVA, Car Accident). But again I digress. I saw both Veronika Maass and Darshana. Both of them are Excellent! Each one was excellent AND this place takes United Health Insurance, a bit plus! BIG BENEFIT: You get a real PT for the WHOLE session, they don't pass you off to a kid to do exercises while they watch. You have your therapist making sure you get the most out of your time. Best Yet! Veronika got my ankle out of pain and into healing mode within a month. My back and other random pains were all over the board but she rode the wave with me making me feel better within one appointment. Not all the way better but moving toward healing. She also keeps incredible notes that will no doubt help when my Health Care and Case start to settle. I HIGHLY recommend her. So much so, My husband needed care and he saw her as well. I also had core issues and Darshana saved the day with that. She is kind, sensitive and super friendly making even the odd moments more comfortable. Awesome. Parking: Easy Peasy, lots of space. Organization: They help with insurance and are on the ball. Treatment: There are a few therapists there all talented. And if one goes on vacation they work together to make sure you get the care you need. I'm a HUGE fan. Check them out! read more

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I was referred to Darshana for pelvic concerns after having a baby. To be honest, I wasn't actually going to follow up on the referral since I am someone who isn't good about health care ("it'll just get better on it's own") and I really had no interest in doing PT virtually. Luckily they called me to schedule my first session so I had no excuse not to try. I'm so glad I did!!! Darshana is a genius. She helped fix some serious post-partum concerns and helped me function and feel like myself again (and she actually also helped fix some pre-pregnancy issues what I would have never been able to identify or bother to fix without her insight- TMI but it's nice to no longer have to take this many bathroom breaks). Also, if you're thinking "let's just wait until we can do this in person again", don't. It incredible how much she could correct and teach over video and it's actually nice to be able to see her from the comfort of your own home and to learn techniques using whatever you actually have at home (your couch etc.). As a teacher, I also can't overstate how helpful it is that Darshana explains everything so you understand the problem and the suggested changes. She even took photos/videos to help with my homework. A consummate professional and brilliant physical therapist! read more

I went to Action Reaction Physical Therapy for several weeks due to some lower back pain I was experiencing. Dzuka gave me lots of exercises that helped me strengthen certain parts of my body to prevent me from overusing my back in the future. He pushed me hard by giving me exercises that I was capable of doing but were still physically challenging. When those exercises became easy, he would trade them out for something else that I was still able to do but were still difficult. If an exercise was too much, he knew when to take a step back and go down a level in difficulty. At the end of my sessions with him, I wasn't experiencing the pain anymore and I increased my physical strength enough to prevent further future injury. read more

Taylor approved the samples to be sent (they are free after all) and when I called to see how they liked them, she would just hang up on me. This happened three different times. After hearing the sobering news that men tend to physiologically peak at 27, my body apparently decided to slowly begin preparing itself for its inevitable demise. Knee problems, horrifying back problems, shoulder problems. I'm convinced the only reason I'm not in chronic pain wheeling around on a Rascal hoping for the sweet release of death is because of Dzuka's crazy-skillful care. I come in with any number of complains (about every 3 months for 4 years now) and he'll sit with me, talk it out, and actually think about it. I've gone to a bunch of places where there are prescribed exercises for certain injuries, but I've always been impressed with Dzuka's approach; you can watch him stop and think about how the muscles are operating as he moves your limbs around and asks you where you feel it; we've tweaked many an exercise to target the perfect weak point he's identified. Somehow he always patches me back up and sends me back out into the maelstrom of my life. The man's a magician; I can't recommend him enough. read more

After my initial eval with Darshana, I decided to reach out and offer my feedback about the bedside manner to provide transparence and see how we can work together better as I saw great potential. When I spoke with the owner Dzuka, we ended the conversation with a pro and con evaluation of the situation ending in a good note. I decided to give it a few more sessions to be transparent and communicate on how I believe things can be adjusted to meet my needs. Dzuca also supported the idea of transparency and working on improving communications which can always be adjusted to meet patients' needs. Please correct me if I am incorrect Dzuka. few hours before my second apt with Darshana, I rec'd and email and a text letting me know that they have decided not to move forward with providing care for me and to go elsewhere. If you decided to give a feedback please be aware of the repercussion. This practice does not do well with constructive feedback and will rather decline to provide service to you instead of learning from a feedback how you can better support your patients (which is something is essential in any healthcare provider). read more

Chris Morrow is the best physical therapist and balance care specialist in Seattle.  If you have any form of a brain injury or concussion symptoms, even a slight one, this is the place to restore your health.  Thumbs up and a five-star review for Action Reaction Physical Therapy and balance specialist Chris Morrow.  Chris has helped me make great strides towards my healing and given me confidence that I can continue to get my balance issues under control through regular Vestibular PT. Chris is thorough, detailed, and extremely knowledgeable in his assessments, diagnosis and putting together a treatment plan.  He communicates well with his patients and gives you one to one attention during each visit. Working with Chris I was able to see progress within the first couple of treatments. I was injured on the job so my injury was covered by Labor and Industry and Action Reaction PT accepted me as a client. My balance issues and brain trauma would be classified as mild to moderate. I do suffer from tinnitus, which is ringing in the ear.  So, with the help from Chis and the PT exercises he guides me through bi-weekly I am able to see progress.  He takes me through 6-10 different movement and balance exercise during each session. And it only takes about an hour. The exercises are challenging, yet you'll be able to do them at home daily to improve your control and balance.  The front desk staff is friendly and easy to work with. They will give you a reminder call or text a day before your appointment is scheduled.  The facility is clean and friendly and quiet. There is a parking lot across the street for only a few bucks per hour.  You take an elevator or stairs up to the 3rd floor and your there. Pretty easy! My anxiety level has dropped immensely since I discovered this place. I now know I'm on the road to recovery.  No need to look elsewhere for Balance and vestibular PT treatment. Get on board with Chris and Action Reaction and get your life back and moving again. read more

Loved my therapist, but the billing practices here are just terrible. I am still trying to fix a billing issue from June 2014. They double-billed me for two appointments, and double-billed the insurance, yet they keep billing me for more. I have statements showing this, and not only called into the office to try and fix this, but spent an hour meeting with Zuka, the owner. I showed him all the paperwork, he promised to send me an itemized bill and get things fixed. Well, not only did he never call me back, but I got another bill (in March 2015 for a bill I settled in Sept 2014, for treatment in June of 14!). I have called and reported them to BCBS Insurance. Perhaps they will decide to care about my billing problem now. I very much recommend Aysha, but I will not go back to Action Reaction, and unless you want to pay twice, I wouldn't recommend you go either. read more

I worked primarily with Corey Williams who I rank as one of the best medical professionals I've ever worked with. She explains what's going on extensively as well as why the new things she's teaching you helps. She has the ability to see the good about any situation in such a way that I found 90% unannoying (that is a glowing review, I'm quite a cynic). Corey is excellent at addressing the whole body and identifying how one system feeds into another. She's also practical and doesn't sugar coat reality (yes while still pulling out the pieces that are good). read more

In fact, didn't receive a bill until I decided not to return for any further appointments. Now faced with being billed for several things that never occurred. I have seen both Dzuka and Veronika Maass at Action Reaction in Roosevelt for support recovering from my back "going out." I started with Dzuka but spent most sessions with Veronika due to scheduling. Each appointment was very productive. I really appreciated the way Veronika had me do exercises in the AR "gym" and then prescribed ways to mimic the same work out at home. Each exercise really helped to alleviate my back pain as well as build up my muscles to prevent further injury and pain. This is a review regarding the results I obtained by working with Darahana Naik. I inquired Action Reaction Physical Therapy to help me heal after birthing my son. I was looking for an ordinary Physical Therapist, but to my surprise I found a Specialist, Darshana Naik! Darshana specializes in helping pregnant and postpartum mothers and works miracles! Before I began working with Darshana, I had very little mobility of my neck, back and shoulders, I had tremendous neck and back pain and hip and knee pain. Basically, I was an absolute mess and could not use my body. After 10 visits I have full range of my neck, back and shoulders and my overall strength has improved 10 fold. I highly recommend Darshana as your physical therapist; she is lively, hard working, funny, and will work with the time you have in the most efficient way possible. She has created 30 minute routines for me that allow me to strengthen different areas of my body while I am home, and they have seriously impacted my life for the best. NOTE: If you have sciatica or back pain while pregnant I URGE you to see her! I had no clue you could treat sciatica with physical therapy. She also give you exercises to strengthen your pelvic floor! Go for it! read more

I highly recommend Action Reaction Physical Therapy if you are an athlete. My marathon training group attended a session put on by Dzuka and George. They were so informative about how to prevent injuries when training for a major sporting event (like running a marathon!) Some of the women were having pain issues in their feet and legs and the PT's showed them stretches that they can do at home on a regular basis to keep them in good shape. The staff there is easy to talk to and they understand sports related training and injuries. Their location is also really convenient, close to Green Lake and Roosevelt. read more

I recently injured my shoulder (pro tip: your toddler is better than you at using the monkey bars) and went to Action Reaction for physical therapy. While my injury was not too bad, Veronika Maass came up with a schedule for me to improve my poor posture which was a key reason for me getting injured. Over about 10ish sessions, we tried many stretches and exercises (thoracic extension, rotation, etc) and Veronica would measure my range of motion and listen to my feedback to figure out which exercises were best. Same with several strengthening exercises. As my shoulder has been healing, my posture has greatly improved and I have a set of stretches and exercises in hand to maintain and improve my posture. I liked how she is very data driven (lots of motion measurements), and willing to try different approaches. Her approach also deals with the root of the problem, and aims at long term maintenance. I was excited to find a physical therapy office super close to my house that accepted my insurance, however I'll be doing my healing and taking my business elsewhere. I had PT for a dislocated elbow in 2010 and just in the past month had to go back for a different injury. Both times (over the course of 8 appointments) the one and only front receptionist, Ashika, was without a doubt the rudest receptionist/customer service person I've ever encountered. As a client seeking help for physical pain, I'd like to have a friendly and helpful experience. Instead I was met with an incredibly unfriendly attitude and zero compassion or attentiveness. My last appointment, which was today, encouraged my decision to go somewhere else for PT. She slapped down my sign in log and took my co-pay without saying a word to me. Unbelievably rude. Also as far as the actual treatment goes, every single appointment was interrupted by another physical therapist knocking on the door asking for an instrument or needing something out of the room I was being treated in while I was laying on the table in only the robe to cover up. Very invasive and unprofessional. read more

I was in a car accident and was sent to Ashya at Action Reaction PT. Let's face it, no one likes having to run to appointments and do exercises, but Ashya was very knowledgeable and was able to get me the right exercises to get better fast. She gave me simple tweaks to my posture that didn't take a lot of energy or discomfort to accomplish. I now look better with my posture and have built strength in a simple way. And she is so personable that I actually enjoyed going in so that I could spend time talking with her. Her professional knowledge and enjoyable personality made the process a breeze! Dzuka and Deanna are terrific therapists, each with their own individual style. I had to see each of them at different points in time due to first a car accident for whiplash, and then at a later date for my osteoarthritic hip. Each therapist is extremely knowledgeable, personable, and gives you full and undivided attention throughout the entire one hour session, with plenty of 'homework' for you to do in between sessions. I always found myself looking forward to my PT appointments, perhaps because in a parallel universe, I, too, share their passion for the body and its physical capabilties. I have been able to reap benefits from all of the PT that I have received to date from both Dzuka and Deanna, whether for my neck, back, shoulders, or hip. I originally went to Action Reaction several years ago, from a doctor's referral, for a sprained ankle. Dzuka was very helpful in providing exercises that helped me get rid of the pain and back to the activity I was used to before the sprain! More recently I started running and started experiencing hip pain that was preventing me from running longer than 2 miles. I returned to Action Reaction and sure enough they came to the rescue! Dzuka was very helpful in analyzing my stride and movements to identify the culprit. Through a combination of prescribed exercises and stretching therapies, I was able to continue running through my treatment, and happy to report night and day improvement! Through Dzuka's help (not to mention his inspiring encouragement and enthusiasm) I am able to run longer distances than ever before and armed with exercises that will help me continue to improve my running. Can't recommend Dzuka and the Action Reaction team enough! The location is easy to get to (on main bus lines, near soon to be light rail lines and I-5) as well as ample street parking. The staff is also very flexible with time and I was able to get appointments around my work schedule. read more

I have been seeing PT Aysha Morgan for 2 years. Not only is she an extremely knowledgeable and skilled physical therapist, but her bedside manner is stellar. She has always gone above and beyond when it comes to my care and treatment. She has been my advocate for 2 years as I try and find a diagnosis from various specialists in neurology. I had to stop seeing her for a period due to chronic fatigue but have recently gone back and have already felt and seen improvements. My neurosurgeon had the pleasure of meeting her and told me in all his years she is by far the most knowledgeable physical therapist he has met. I owe her a lot.
