I've really enjoyed my experience with Seattle Personal Trainer. The biggest thing that stands out to me is how individualized everything feels. It's not just someone handing you a generic workout, there's a lot of thought put into what each person actually needs. The atmosphere is welcoming, encouraging, and never intimidating, no matter your experience level. If you're looking for a place that genuinely cares about helping you build long-term strength and healthy habits, I'd definitely recommend checking them out! read more

Alec truly is the best if you're lucky enough to get paired with him! The sessions are pretty expensive for only 30 minutes, but Alec has made it 100% worth it for me. He's friendly, positive, knows exactly when to push vs when to encourage, and I've really been enjoying our time together. A little over 3 months in and I'm down 15 pounds! read more

If you're looking for an efficient, honest, get-it-done trainer/coach, Peter is your guy. I was coming back to the gym after a long time, pretty intimidated by how I'd lose the weight. He started with small wins, and empowered me to take ownership of my goals and tracked them consistently . Work outs with him are efficient, I got a full body workout in 30 mins and we trained hard. Highly recommend. He'll be your biggest cheerleader! read more

I had worked briefly with a few personal trainers in the past few years. I hadn't found one to keep me engaged, motivated and disciplined till I met Alec and started working out with him. I have never been stronger. I still have a long way to go but feel confident in Alec's abilities as a trainer. His biggest strength is his individualistic approach to his clients. He takes the time to listen, understand and then design every workout to make sure his clients reach their personal goals. I look forward to conti my fitness journet with him. read more

I've been training with Alec for the past 3 months--3 times a week--as part of my 2025 New Year's resolution, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. Alec has consistently challenged me while keeping each session engaging and purposeful. Thanks to his guidance, I've seen a noticeable increase in skeletal muscle mass and a healthy reduction in body fat percentage. He strikes the perfect balance between pushing me to my limits and making sure I stay motivated and injury-free. Alec is an excellent trainer I've been training with him for six months. He has helped me with fitness, diet and overall strength. Everything he does is driven by goals we set and we review the goals every two weeks and measure our progress regularly. He tracks daily stats and encourages and guides me in beating my personal records. I would suggest anyone who is trying to improve their fitness or reach a certain goal in their physical training should tryout a session with Alec read more

Alec is awesome -- he pushes me the right amount so that I feel challenged and accomplished but not like I'm going to hurt myself. I always leave feeling proud of what I was able to do. Working out in a public gym is for sure outside my comfort zone but my experience there has been great. I also really appreciated how thorough Peter's intake process was before he matched me with a trainer - his openness made me feel comfortable sharing about why I was there and what I was struggling with in terms of strength/food/etc. read more

Peter and Alec at Seattle Personal Trainer are absolute gems. I only had 6 weeks left in Seattle before I moved across the country and Peter was so awesome to allow me to train with SPT for those 6 weeks. Working with Alec has completely transformed how I view fitness and nutrition. The workouts were challenging but incredibly rewarding and I was looking forward to all of my sessions! In just 6 weeks I feel stronger and healthier than I've been in YEARS. Taking this momentum with me to the east coast. My only complaint is that I didn't come to The Seattle Personal Trainer sooner. Thanks so much guys!!! read more

I could not be happier working with Peter and his team. I work with Hami, and he is a blast even when he is being mean, making you work harder, and adding more weight. =D Peter and Hami helped me get from 255 to 238 in less than three months by teaching more about exercise, cardio, nutrition, and consistent encouragement. If you want to get healthier... you should talk to Peter, who will match you with the right trainer. read more

Working with Peter has been life-changing for my fitness goals. Peter is extremely knowledgeable about fitness and nutrition, and he has a deep understanding of how the body works and how to craft workouts for my specific fitness goals. He is also an excellent communicator and was able to explain everything to me in a way that I could understand. What sets Peter apart from other trainers is his ability to create customized workout and nutrition plans that are tailored to your individual needs, and hold you accountable to them through daily check-ins. He took the time to get to know me and my goals, and then he created a plan that was challenging but also achievable. I never felt like I was doing something that was too hard or too easy, and have been seeing fantastic results - I added 30lbs to my bench press PR in 3 months. Working with Peter has been a great experience. He is always positive and encouraging, and he truly cares about his clients. He is always available to answer questions or offer support, and he is constantly pushing me to be my best self, both inside and outside the gym. I began working with Peter about 4 months ago and he's been fantastic to work with. After working out with me a few times he was able to both, tailor my workouts to my goals and make some diet recommendations providing recommendations and recipes. He leaves it to me to take heed leaning on me lightly and tying my actions, my results to my goals. He's obviously knowledgeable and doesn't push until he's sure my form is correct! I can't recommend Peter highly enough. If you're interested in finally getting PT right, Peter Feysa is your trainer. read more

Training at The Seattle Gym exceeded my expectations in every way. My trainer, Peter is extremely professional and patient which is helpful for a beginner like myself. Not only did he correct all of my lifting form/posture but he also made sure to explain the exact mechanisms underlying everything we did at the gym. These explanations ranged from the specific muscle groups targeted by each motion to the overall goals of muscle hypertrophy and growth. He is knowledgeable about everything related to the gym, able to describe the exact hormonal/chemical reactions in the body as well as recommend the best diet/sleep routines to help accelerate my progress. I completely transformed my body & relationship with fitness thanks to Peter! What an exhilarating feeling seeing definition everywhere- legs, arms, booty! Not only has Peter been instrumental to helping me feel stronger and healthier, he is also the most down to earth and all around a wonderful person! Peter is a fantastic trainer - I've been training with him for the past 3 years, and he created a customized training program for my specific needs. I highly recommend Peter for anyone looking to attain their fitness goals. I had trained with Peter back in 2014 while I was in my 20s and he helped me achieve very good results in just 2-3 months. He is extremely knowledgeable about fitness and nutrition, and above all, he is amazingly patient and pushes you outside of your comfort zone. Fast-forward to 2022, and 2 years post delivering my son, I am once again back to training with Peter. This is by far the best decision I have made and I am glad Peter agreed to take me on again :) He makes every session more challenging and interesting than the previous one. He keeps tabs on my nutrition and keeps me accountable. I am already seeing results in just a few weeks' time. He makes working out such a fun experience! Peter is a wonderful person and is the BEST trainer ever! His positivity is contagious! He is extremely patient and professional. I have worked out with other trainers in the past, but no one is as good as he is! If there ever was something higher than 5 stars, I would give that to him because he totally deserves it! Thank you Peter for all the guidance and support! read more

I have been training with Peter for only a short amount of time so far, but I can tell you that I have found what has got to be Seattle's best personal trainer. He is extremely knowledgeable about a variety of ways to work with fitness and nutrition. Work outs routinely contain a mix of resistance training, cardio, flexibility, sculpting, stability, with boxing and aerial work as well. Where else can you lift weights, box like a champ, and pretend that you are in the circus all in one training session - while getting an incredible workout at the same time. My workouts are never boring, always exciting, and most importantly... fun! Additionally, he is full of nutritional knowledge and diet tailoring expertise. He was able to work with me and my crazy schedule to come up with a program that worked for me, I was able to stick to, and didn't leave me feeling hungry or wanting. Peter is constantly researching new information about how to adjust both diet and training to be more effective and is excited to talk about new findings. In addition to being an incredibly knowledgeable trainer, Peter's program delivers results. I have seen my body become more toned and lean in a matter of just a few weeks of balanced nutrition and training with his guidance - resulting in body fat and weight reduction in a short amount of time. This was something that I was completely unable to do on my own and it was Peter's guidance and positive attitude that helped to carry me through. The best part of training with Peter though is his incredible passion, positivity, and support for those that he works with. When I have a rough day or am not feeling motivated in the gym, he is right there to encourage me on the progress that I have already made and keep me inspired and motivated to continue in a healthy direction. I walk walk into the gym feeling down on myself and leave feeling like I can accomplish anything - all because of Peter's never ending positivity and support. I cannot wait to see where this journey ends up, but I know that I couldn't have done it without Peter and I wouldn't have wanted to work with anyone else. read more

I trained with Peter through 2018 and 2019 and I've just started training with him again. I highly recommend him. He's a fantastic trainer and an all around great guy with a wicked sense of humor. He's got a keen instinct on what works and what doesn't in terms of getting strong quickly. He focuses not only on what what you're doing in the gym with him but also on what you're doing outside those training hours in terms of diet and extra workout sessions. Peter is everything I could ask for in a trainer! He's knowledgable, inspiring and overall very encouraging! He not only knows all the tips and tricks about fitness but nutrition as well. He caters my work outs for the results I want. Some of our workouts include Boxing (My favorite) Silk (Aerial), resistance training and cardio. There is never a dull moment in the gym when I'm working out with Peter and this is coming from someone who literally needs to be forced to work out. He has only been training me for a month (3 times a week) and I have already noticed huge results! If you want to see your fitness dreams come true...hire Peter! Side note...Not only is Peter amazing! But Excellence fitness where he trains his clients is awesome! Intimate, Clean and they have a great cafe with awesome organic goodies as well as shakes. I had tried everything to lose weight and get in shape for years before I went to Peter. Even paid thousands of dollars in testing and to get prescribed weight loss pills. I was really insecure about training with a "boy" because I thought he would be disgusted with the fat girl. I'm sharing this because maybe you feel the same way? But I seen some reviews on him and though what do I have to lose? Well so far I have lost 35 pounds and went from a size 16 to 8:) Pretty amazing results considering the years I had tried before and never lost more than 10 pounds. Peter has a way of building your self -esteem while still holding you accountable to doing the work it takes. He is also crazy kind and funny ) If your looking to truly changing you life give Peter a try, I promise you will be the next yelp reviewer giving him 5 stars. read more

I have had the most wonderful experience of working with Peter over the past 6 months and he is by far the best trainer I have worked with. Peter offers a holistic, creative customized and FUN! approach to his training. Unlike other trainers who follow a cookie cutter lift, crunch, repeat approach - Peter incorporates aspects of boxing, yoga, aerial, crossfit-esque techniques into our weekly training. We never do the same workout twice and he is exceptionally mindful about my past injuries. What drew me to Peter and what I appreciate most is his focus on holistic health - it is not just about what I do in the gym, but how I eat, how I manage stress and how I rest. Underlying all of this his is genuine respect and concern for the health and wellbeing of me in my life. Its not just about the scale, its about living my best life in my healthiest and happiest body. He is a constant source of encouragement and I am one of his biggest fans. read more

I started working with Peter shortly after I turned 40 and was tired of having to buy bigger and bigger pants each year. Now, three years later, I am back in a size 30. But more important than that, I am healthier and stronger than I've been at any point in my life. I even ran my first marathon last year -- an accomlishment I had never even imagined for myself. Peter has a broad definition of health, and while my initial goals were to lose fat and tone up, he also makes sure that I don't ignore other important components of my health, like balance, flexibility, and nutrition (especially nutrition!). I can honestly say I look forward to each workout with Peter. He is super friendly, knowledgeable and sincere. But it's probably his energy and constant encouragement that keep me coming back. Training with Peter is the best health and fitnness investment I have ever made. Oh, and did I mention, he makes movies, too! read more

If you are looking for a personal trainer, then stop looking and call B-Fit Personal Training! Peter works in a big gym in the heart of Capitol Hill with free parking and he has been my personal trainer for over two years. Within the first six or seven months I lost about 30 pounds and my body fat went down from 31% to less than 18%. No kidding! My weight loss happened gradually because Peter helped not only with a very balanced and tailored exercise program but also (VERY important!) with my nutrition. I would love to share more about my personal experience and how easy it was to loose fat and gain muscles. If today I am in the best shape of my life, well, a big grazie goes to Peter. read more

If you are looking for a personal trainer, train with Peter. PETER is the BEST personal trainer in Seattle. No doubt! He is AWESOME!! He can guide you through and achieve your goal (if you really work for it). His experiences make him the best that he can be as a trainer. He is friendly and very positive and he makes me believe that I can do things that I can't before. Training with him is never boring. I really recommend people to train with him because he is just the best. I could not ask for a better trainer. Before I train with Peter, I have never trained in a gym before. I have always complained on how I look. I am SUPER skinny to start with. It has always been like that since I was young ( and I have some health concerns too; stomach issues and acute scoliosis). (My personal experience) When I decided I want to change how I look, I am really thankful that I found Peter. Peter specializes on resistance training with me, which really really works. He knows what's best for every individual coz everyone is different. He also works around my difficulties too. He pays really close attention to my posture. Honestly, his workout is not-so-easy but he always motivates me to do better and better without being pushy. I really trust him and follow what he told me to do and not to do. I started seeing changes in a month. And In just 2 months I gained 6kg (muscle mass), I could lift some weights too (which I can't do before). Until now, this is my best shape I've ever had. I would never go back to how I look before. THANK YOU PETER read more

My journey to fitness began several years ago. I worked with a trainer that started the process and helped me lose a lot of weight quickly. I was so pleased with the changes in my body that unfortunately I didn't realize I had already started down a path towards being concerned with body image only. Our workouts were based on a "bodybuilder" type training program and we never altered that program. I had no idea that what was originally a journey towards health and a better me had turned into an obsession with body image and very little work towards overall health. Fast forward to last July when I began working with Peter after about a 7 month break from my previous trainer. I had put on a good amount of weight over that break and had lost a lot of the confidence I had during my previous training sessions. I first met Peter because he trained in the same gym that I worked out in with my old trainer. I remember calling Peter and asking him if he had any openings in his schedule to take me on as a client and was thrilled when he agreed. At our first meeting we discussed where I was, what I wanted to accomplish, what I liked about my previous routine and what I wanted to change. Peter immediately understood my concerns of how easy it is to fall into the body image idea of training and not look at overall health and he was confident he could help me get back on track towards achieving my goals. On our first workout he completed an assessment based on my performance on some weight and stabilization exercises and he worked up our routine. It was immediately obvious that I had absolutely no cardio health whatsoever even though I had good muscle strength. Our first couple of months focused entirely on core strength and stabilization with good amounts of cardio throughout. He explained how my previous routine used large muscle groups but because the smaller muscle groups had not been engaged this resulted in my body not firing completely and using all the muscle groups to achieve whatever set or activity I was attempting. He also explained how the "2 minute break" between sets that is common in heavy lifting body builder routines was not helping me achieve a stronger, higher heart rate for heart health. Since those initials workouts to present day, Peter has never ceased to surprise me with his knowledge, excitement or variety in our workouts. He seems to be able to sense exactly when we need to switch things up to keep me challenged and allow me continue to burn off fat and increase my overall health. He incorporates weight training, circuit training, cardio, boxing, core, Pilates, aerials and much more into his workout routines. He pushes me to levels I would never achieve on my own and after every set I am proud of the fact that I achieved more than I thought possible. He is highly motivating, friendly and even a little goofy. I look forward to every appointment that I have to both enjoy Peter's company and workout like an animal. I have never felt healthier in my life. I couldn't recommend Peter more highly. I am confident in his knowledge and abilities. I know that anybody could reap the benefits of working with him. I wish you success on your journey towards health! If you train with Peter, I know you will see the same success that I have. read more

Peter is the best! I've been training with him for about two months now and never thought I would be able to do the exercises I am doing nor lift the weights I am lifting! He has not only given me confidence at the gym but also personalized his training method to my specific needs. Peter is extremely knowledgeable regarding fitness and nutrition and has recommended countless techniques both in and out of the gym to help me achieve my goals. And it's working! Not only is he a great trainer, but he is a cool guy and fun to be around. You won't regret training with Peter. I couldn't recommend him more. Thank you Peter! read more

If I could give Peter 6 (or 10...or, actually, infinite) stars I would - working with him has been absolutely inspirational and life-changing! As others commented, the sessions he designs are fun, challenging and always a bit different - no getting bored with your workouts! Aside from the fact he's helped me to the best shape of my life, I greatly appreciate his approach and knowledge base. He is supportive and provides all the information you need to be fit, but doesn't make you feel guilty if you opt not to heed his advice (or if you fall off the bandwagon, as is prone to happen from time to time). My life outside the gym is in the biomedical realm and I have a low threshold for checking professional literature if presented with health related information that is new - I've not once found an example where Peter's advice was contrary to the available research. In short, if you're ready to challenge yourself and find your inner and outer excellence, Peter is a fantastic guide for that journey. He's supported me through the nadirs and celebrated with me at the peaks. I wouldn't voluntarily give him up for the world! read more

Peter Feysa has been my personal trainer for over 6 years. I've worked out for many, many years, but a personal trainer as worked out far better than working out on my own. I've been training with Peter for about seven months now and he's been incredible. I had gone to him initially with a goal of getting "swimsuit ready" for a trip to Mexico; not only was it the first time I'd gotten into a swimsuit in over five years, but I had shed over 18 pounds and quite a bit of body fat. Following my trip, I knew I needed to keep going to him. Not only has he helped me while at the gym, he has also helped me with my nutrition - what to eat, what not to eat, how much to eat, when to eat, etc. - what's even better is he takes the time to explain why it's important to eat when he tells you to eat and the benefits of what you're eating. When you know why you need to do things, I think you're a bit more inclined to actually do it. (He also very much holds you accountable.) It was difficult to start working out again after years of zero activity and still difficult now, but the difference is when I started I couldn't lift weights, couldn't do a push-up; now the difficulty comes from trying to see how much I can lift and how many reps I can do. Peter has continued to challenge me every time and has pushed me further than I could have imagined. Also, his attitude is infectious - makes working out at 5AM a little bit easier. read more

I was a professional contemporary dancer for 25 years. Imagine a combination of ballet, gymnastics and full contact sports and you have a picture of what my work was like. By the time I got to Peter I was 45, phasing into a new physical journey and, well, wrecked. My work had taken a toll. I was in tons of pain, was dealing with a number of chronic injuries and emotionally exhausted. Peter turned my physical (and emotional) world around. I committed to three days a week and we set a course for healing. We started slow and as Peter started to understand where I was starting from, he gently began to help me identify goals that were attainable! Each session was a new physical universe for me as I started to understand my body and inhabit it in a new way. I got stronger and leaner and 4 months after we started I realized I wasn't feeling pain anymore and had so much energy and enthusiasm for life. I have learned so much from Peter. Not just about my body (although his knowledge is ENDLESS!) but also about a positive life approach and how my mind and body can work together to make the whole experience of living more vital and just plain fun. I have been training with Peter for three years and have no plans on stopping! Train with Peter - it can change your life! read more
