This place was a hole in a wall and they only have take out. Once you enter they are preparing orders and they're made since this morning. You have the option to have it warmed up and service was quick I got the Pork and Green Bean bao and was delicious! 12 pieces for $15 a steal! Definitely would come back to try others too.
I wanted to eat some dumplings and came across Danacious Dumpling while in the area. It's a small shop with no dine in but the staff are constantly making dumplings. They sell frozen dumplings and baos, but also can cook them up for you. They also have other items they sell as well like noodles and porridge. I got the shrimp, chives and pork dumpling, and their Chinese pork burger. The shrimp, chives and pork dumpling was cooked to order for me and I did take out. There's no place to dine in. The dumplings were cooked well, plump and juicy. Came with some chili oil and vinegar on the side for dipping. The Chinese pork burger had a nice flat bun with good amount of braised pork. It had a nice five spice flavor but a little plain for me. Adding the chili oil helped with flavor. Overall, I'll be back here to get frozen dumplings or try other items. Parking here can be a little chaotic since the parking lot isn't too big.
Cheap and fast. Solid take out option to take to a potluck or hang out with friends. No seats at the restaurant, it functions like a ghost kitchen.
Interesting 包子舖 Bao Place, not really about dumpling. Good selection on various bao by sizes and fillings. All well flavored and, of course, excellent shell to filling balance. We bought 3 boxes to go and pan fried the next day -- even more delicious. I recommend buying several kinds to your taste, pan fry some even when still fresh to see which way you prefer. I wish they offer mix-and-match boxes.
Soup dumplings were very delicious, the bao buns were not bad but definitely a little underwhelming. Staying away from the bao next time but dumplings were very good. The place was very clean you can buy most of their products frozen to cook at home we ordered to go. Doesn't look like there's anywhere to sit inside just a heads up. Service was fast though and the person working was very polite.
Tried this place for the first time today and enjoyed both the shrimp, chives, and pork dumpling ($14.99/12 pieces) and the chives and pork bao ($15/8 pieces). It did take 10 minutes for both items which were freshly prepared, steamed, and warm. It's a takeout spot so after you order they do ask that you wait outside and come back when your order is ready. I liked the fact that the menu is in both English/Chinese and have pictures of the food items. They also offer frozen dumplings and more if interested. Overall, I enjoyed the flavors/filling of both the dumplings and bao. They both were steamed perfectly, had a good amount of filling in both and wasn't dry, the bao was soft/pillow-y, and it was great dipping both in the sauces they give out or to eat on its own. I'd definitely come back to try out other menu items.
These were tasty dumplings. We enjoyed the boxes that we ordered. It was pleasing to watch the handmade dumplings being prepared. Staff was polite. The inside feels crowded, but the dumplings are intended to be taken to go.

The pork & green onion bao and minced pork & tofu bao stand out as must-tries, and they also sell frozen options for home. Though the place is tiny, service is patient and professional. Delicious, convenient, and worth it if you're craving quality bao to go.
It's a hole in the wall with one cashier, there's a few dingy seats for waiting but that's it. This place gets people waking up early to pick up their orders at 9am. Because it's pretty good! However I can only give the Pork and Chive bao a full 5 star for it's taste. I had a few other items and they were _just_ good. I have to say the Pork and Chive bao was just really, really, good especially when hot. The bread is as soft as a marshmallow, and just enough hint of sweet. The mixture of chopped up noodles, pork, and chive inside were no slouch either. The noodles had the right amount of firmness and slipperyness, the chives don't overpoweringly announce their entrance like a surprise guest in WWE, and the pork tastes great! There is an English menu. Danacious Dumpling looks hella Chinese outside and inside, but thank goodness for the accurate English menu. Would order take out at 9am again!
The baos delivered. It was the perfect ratio of bread to filling. I reheated my stash by heating up a big frying pan, 2 tablespoons of oil. Lay baos bottom down and pan fry. Once the bottom is light golden, throw half cup of water into the pan and cover. Keep the heat up high and let the water cook off. The bottom should be GBD. Take them out and eat with raw garlic - it's how we do it in the north!
I think the taste is ok. Better than other restaurants'. We don't like too strong flavors. I found chicken bones in the chicken mushroom bao. Be careful!
Delicious bao. Many fillings to choose from. It's ready, warm, and quick. Remember to ask for sauce if you need it. It's not easy finding a practical quick bite to eat these days that's not super unhealthy. Really appreciate having this cozy spot for friendly pick up.
Excellent little spot for dumplings and all your carb fixings on a budget. No frills service, grab and go type spot. Things are at a solid price given the amount of food you get, so definitely good to have this place on hand for when you just need something to eat and want something a smidge healthier than a pizza. Dumplings are available in frozen (via preorder), freshly cooked (10min), or whatever's been sitting around the day of. Shiitake Mushroom & Pork Bao - 4.5/5 Generally pretty good. Extremely fluffy and chewy texture to all of their baozi and their fillings are solidly flavorful. Simple stuff, but hearty. These were sitting around though, so you can tell it's not the prime freshness. Cooked Pork Cabbage Celery Dumpling - 5/5 Definitely the better tasting dumplings of the ones that we got, which being freshly cooked makes sense. Well balanced skin texture, being thick enough for a chew but not so thick that all you're getting is dough. Flavorful fillings and comes with a vinegar dip. Steamed Noodle w/ Pork & Celery - 4/5 Spicy sauce that comes with the steamed noodles packs quite the heaty punch. Noodles are rather plain without it, so definitely give it a try with them together. Good amount of pork and celery though.

Could be not my lucky day but I didn't have a good experience with this place. Baozi was cold, dry and tasteless I'm not sure if it's fresh or not but it's very cold and the flavor is off even though I ate right away after bought it. Definitely need more seasoning. The dough need a but sugar and salt to enhance the flavor. It could be good price but not quality. Also the service is not so nice. You have to ask for the chili sauce since they don't include it in the orders. Take out only! No from me and I won't be back! read more

3.5 STARS Props to the young male cashier for holding it down! I was waiting in line when this lady in back of the line started yelling her order to the cashier. Some of us turned around to give her the evil eye but she kept going. She then managed to get her order BEFORE another customer and myself who ordered the same baozi...because she was on the cashier's nuts the entire time. Rude and no chill. And, he handled it well...you can't win with people like that. Just get them out ASAP which is what he did. Not only did the cashier have to deal with this difficult customer but he was busting his behind, wearing multiple hats - taking orders, running around putting together orders, packing them, and cashiering. Poor guy; blame it on labor shortage. Now, let's talk Baozi! Danacious Dumpling's specialty is Baozi, Northern steamed buns with savory fillings. They're open for takeout and limited indoor dining. They're not on any American delivery apps; maybe they're on Fantuan, HungryPanda, and ChowBus? M E N U * Baozi (8-12 pc for $14), Cold Noodles ($12-$14), and Jiaozi frozen dumplings and wontons ($22-$26). Baozi fillings: pork & green onion, pork & mushroom, pork & sour peppers, pork & cabbage, pork & tofu, egg & chives, etc. Most of the baozi are pre-made, packed, and sitting on the counter. But, they were very busy when I visited around 1 pm. The counter was pretty bare so the cashier was running around trying to pack the baozi. If you visit when they're busy, you may be able to get freshly steamed baozi. To drink, they have housemade soymilk w/ dates ($4). Visa and MC accepted only but with a high $30 minimum. B A O Z I * 猪肉大葱小包 Pork & Green Onion Baozi (12 pc - $14): https://tinyurl.com/4vf498rv The baozi tops was excellent - so fluffy soft and light but the bottoms were rolled too thin so they were soggy/wet. The pork & green onion filling was savory, moist, and flavorful but there were sizeable air pockets. Comparing my batch of baozi to earlier ones posted on yelp, it seems the pork filling has shrunk in size. Shrinkflation? Since the baozi are small, you'll probably need at least 6-8 pieces for a meal. I asked for a side of their housemade chili oil and was given a tiny 1 ounce container that was half filled. The chili oil was fragrant and mildly spicy (prefer it hotter) but there was only enough for several baozi. S E R V I C E All business. There was a 7 minute wait for my order that was still in the steamers. A M B I A N C E Clean and modern compact shop. You can see the aunties making the baozi and jiaozi in front. There's several tables pushed against the wall so you can dine-in. Kinda awkward when it's busy with a long line so probably best to take to-go. P A R K I N G Tight parking at the front of Saratoga Plaza but there's a large parking lot in back. Overall, tasty baozi but needs a better filling to bao ratio; unless it was an off-batch? Jenny's Kitchen aside that sells a myraid of Northern Chinese and Taiwanese items, I believe Danacious Dumpling is the only shop specializing in baozi in the South Bay so rounding up to 4 stars. read more
The reviews for this place were very good so I decided to try it out. Sorry for the late review because I did not try the dumplings until today. Firstly the pork and green onion buns are very good. The meat to dough ratio is good though I would have liked a little more meat. The pork mix was quite delicious and not over salted. Each box comes with 12 bite size buns (well 4 bites). The dough was not too thick only at the top as expected. The shrimp/pork/chives dumplings come frozen in a bag of 30. They were pretty good though I did not get to taste the shrimp. The skin was a little thicker than the Cantonese shrimp dumplings but it wasn't too bad. It also was not overly salted. I wonder if I can heat them up like gyozas??? Hmmm??? While visiting the newish store, there were two nice mommy-like ladies making the dumplings by hand. That is what you want to see. I will definitely go back for the buns and will continue to try cooking the dumplings in various ways. read more
Seen this place all the time so I decided to stop by since it was one of the only places that open this early for food. It's roughly $14 for each of these tray. I walked in and seen about 6 ladies making these all by hand right in front so you know it's legit. Waited about 20 minutes but it was well worth the wait and price. The mini baos were my favorite, they were so soft and packed full of pork and mushrooms. You get about 12 for $14. It can be overwhelming when walking in as a lot of the menu is in another language but if you pay attention there's a small English description on the bottom. Love the baos here! Tried the pork and green onion, pork and mushroom, and egg and chive baozi. The pork and green onion was my favorite, the filling is really well done. Pork and mushroom was also good, egg and chive felt a little heavy on the chives. The portions are good for the price, one box of 12 bao is a pretty filling. The chili oil that accompanied the baozi was also really good. For dessert, I ordered a date cake which was delicious. It reminds me of banana bread with a lighter and airier flavor and subtle date taste, it wasn't too sweet! The restaurant is pretty small and seemed to be mostly pickup. They asked if I wanted the baozi hot or cold, definitely get it hot! read more

Drove by this spot today and decided to try it! Cozy inside! We ordered the pork and green onion bao and shumai! My daughter liked the bao, and i loved the shumai, very tasty! The person at the cashier was very friendly and explained the menu to us! Will definitely come to get the shumai again and try something else next time! read more

Danacious Dumpling is fairly well known for making a different version of bao than what you're probably used to. They're like a mix between a regular bao and a soup dumpling. The outside is soft and fluffy while the inside is porky and juicy. This is actually my favorite style because it combines the best of both worlds. There's really nothing else like it in the Bay Area. We know this because we've been actively searching for something like this forever before discovering Danacious. The service is meh and the ambience is negligible. I don't think the staff speaks English. Exactly what I expect from a top tier Chinese quick serve restaurant. I give this place 5 stars because it's worth going out of your way to try. The Bao here is simply delicious. read more

Food is good but they don't have the noodle that we want. My favorite is the dim sum. Line is very long and unfortunately they weren't able to heat up the food for us because of the long line. Parking is difficult. read more
A little shop where you order baos to go. I liked that the size was smaller than others that I have had. I had the ground pork with green onions. The outside was soft and fluffy. I also tried ground pork tofu which was a bit spicy and not my favorite. read more

Summary: Fresh bao to go. Creative idea! They have some fresh in stock and you don't have to wait. Don't get intimated by the Chinese menu. There are tiny translation on the side. :) Value $14 ish for a box of 8. 3.5 stars but rounding up for their friendly staff and great homemade chili oil. Danacious Dumpling is located in the same strip mall as 7 Leaves and Angry Chickz. I liked seeing the aunties freshly stuffing the baos in the restuarant. They weren't busy when I stopped by around 5:15pm on a Thursday. Their baos were pre-made, and you can grab and go and re-heat them at home. I wished they gave you small containers to go with your order instead of having to purchase separately, but at least their hot chili oil was very aromatic. Probably the most authentic Bao Zi in the Bay Area. My favorite is the pork green onion Bao Zi. If you order take out, I highly recommend re-steam them before serving (don't use microwave since it will ruin the taste of the skin). read more

This place used to be run out of a back parking lot elsewhere in Cupertino. They finally have opened their own store now at the former Raman Halu (RIP) space. Their specialty is a traditional northern Chinese dumplings called Baozi, the smaller version: aka 山東小籠包. The name is Shandong style (or Norther Chinese style) Xiao Long Bao - no, not the Shanghai style soup dumpling but the original Shandong style small baozi. Think of it as a smaller version of the more common 肉包子 meat buns found elsewhere. The skin is fluffier, dry and thicker as opposed to thin and wet like the Shanghainese XLB. The Shanghainese version is often called XLTB - Xiao Long Tang Bao or 小籠湯包 to distinguish it from the northern non-soupy filling version. Back to the restaurant, they make one of the better 小籠肉包子 that I've had in the USA. May they have a long and prosperous business. read more

Updating review based on more visits. Unfortunately, I'm either missing the right timing when the dumplings exit their steam or they're made earlier in advance to beat lines. That first time was magical as they were piping hot. But the last few have been barely warm. I'd gladly wait for a fresh batch but hesitant to go again for room temp dumplings. read more

First time here, I arrived at around 1030am Friday, I asked the cashier if they have any onion pork and mushroom pork baozi which is still hot/warm that I can eat right away, she gave me two boxes of warm baozi, I also bought a box of sticky rice siu mai but it's not that warm anymore so she heat it up with microwave for me. The baozi was as warm as body temperature, I could comfortably eat them. Fresh! I like the onion and pork baozi more because it has more flavor and the filling is way better than the mushroom pork baozi. The sticky rice is good, doesn't taste like artificial flavors, they definitely make them by themselves. The mushroom pork is lack of flavor and the filling easily fell apart. These baozi reminds me the ones that I used to eat when I was in middle school in China. This unique type of skin is called 油皮, it is very soft and fluffy, well mixed, thin but won't be broken easily, very good! read more
Ordered the pork and green onion bao and they were so good! The bao was soft and fluffy and the pork and green onion filling was perfectly seasoned. The baos are a little larger than xiao long baos so it's easy to eat a lot of them. I definitely will be back to try other food. read more

Yummy Takeout worth a quick stop! We like their soft dough and minced pork baos best. Sometimes we get the chives veggie bao and those do run out fast. The shiitake mushroom and pork baos are quite Dana-licious too! read more

Really yummy! It looks just for takeout but they let us eat there. I thought the cold noodles were gonna be like liangpi but they were also like wheat gluten - so chewy and good! I also liked the buns! They had the buns and noodles already made - fast! read more

I work nearby & I've been going to this spot for almost 3 years now. Could not recommend more highly. Staff is incredibly kind & bao is the best I've ever had. If you're unsure of what to get, I'd recommend the pork & green onion or egg & chive bao. read more

omggggg!!! i was pleasantly surprised! i ordered pork and green onion baozi and green bean and pork baozi. i had been here once before when they first opened but there wasn't too many choices and only a couple boxes left so i didn't wanna get any. now many many months later - seems like they've worked out kinks and whatnot - there were lots available and they even have this warmer cooler looking thing that you see in asia to keep the baozi warm. these little baozi packed an amazing flavor so the dough and filling ratio is actually very perfect! i will return to try other flavors and items!! read more

Depends on the time you go. Better chance of hot baozi at opening time.
