    Garlic Green Onion Pancake

This location had a different place before so this was the first time for us to try Dumpling Capital and I'm so glad we did. While they have a small parking lot there's still a lot of street parking so it's not too bad. So hard to try new things with only two people - definitely want to go back to try other dishes but for this go around this is what we had. We had Pork and Crab dumpling. While it's tasty - there wasn't a lot of soup (hence minus a star). Definitely needed more soup. Their golden fried tofu was pretty good - next time I think we'll try the salt and pepper one - I thought it was lacking some flavor. The favorites was the eggplant with basil - cooked PERFECTLY with SO MUCH FLAVOR - but the #1 was their garlic green onion pancake! MY OH MY! who would have thought with that combo!! What a hidden gem!! I've had regular green onion pancakes and those with beef but this version with fresh garlic! Totally over the top - the flavors, the textures - SO GOOD!!! Would come just for this dish!! Service was nice - attentive - they updated the place, painted the walls and everything was nice and clean. Will definitely come back to try more dishes!

While the outside is very unassuming and the inside has limited seating, this seems to be a very popular local restaurant. We came in on a Wednesday night and were able to be seated and served quickly. We ordered a bunch of dishes and loved everything! The Shanghai soup dumplings were very tasty, the sweet and spicy eggplant was delicious and covered in so much sauce, the beef and broccoli was tender and again served with a flavorful sauce, the wonton soup had a good ratio of wontons to veggies, and the chicken and corn dumplings were also really good! Our food came out extremely quickly as it was ready (dishes came out one by one but within a few minutes of each other at most) and was served hot off the stove/wok/steamer. The portions are large and easy to share with everyone at the table. Even the wonton soup we ordered had lots of wontons, enough for everyone to have like 3. The prices are also pretty reasonable considering the amount you get and the taste of the food. For four people who got 6-7 dishes and still took home three boxes of leftovers, the total was about $100. Great place of your craving some dim sum or just a good comfort meal.

Thanks to Dumpling Capital, I didn't starve when I couldn't even get into the closed 105 parties-in-front-of-me waitlist at Ramen Hajime. Enjoyed the pan fried buns and salt and pepper tofu for a quick lunch.

Overall a solid place. Came in for early dinner and it was not super busy. Service is friendly and checks up on you. We ordered our favorite dishes to try. Would order the general tso, pea shoots, combo fried rice, Shanghai pan fried soup dumpling, and chocolate xiao long bao again. Marinated beef pancake roll, pork dumplings with chive, and salt and pepper pork chops I could go without ordering again.

This place was surprisingly good and close to our place. There's not a lot of tables inside and parking spaces are definitely limited. We ordered the pan fried soup dumplings which were the biggest of their kind I've seen so far, the shrimp hargow was soooo good. And the green onion pancakes were great as well! Good find!

I ordered the pan fried pork pot stickers and the golden taro balls for dessert. The taro balls were excellent, crispy on the outside, filled with mildly sweet taro paste, and a small piece of yolk tucked inside.

A homestyle dumpling place in a small parking lot with an extensive menu. Through the right door you can view the dumplings being made fresh. It's a casual dine in restaurant, nothing fancy but that's what I was looking for to satisfy my sunday dumpling cravings. We started off with the garlic string beans which had diced onion as well. The beans a bit too oily for my liking, have had better string beans at other places so I would try a different veggie appetizer next time. The xiao long bao had good flavor, decent amount of soup even though the skin wasn't thin enough but still good. The shrimp and pork in spicy wonton sauce was pretty good. I liked the addition of coriander on top. The shrimp and pork dumplings with chive were good too. I felt the filling was similar in flavor to the wontons. In particularly liked their dumpling cover more than other the ones I have had at other places. The pork and shrimp sui mai was fresh and flavorful as well. In general, there wasn't any dish that was bad or any dish that was amazingly good for its price point. Everything was decently delicious. I guess this is a good option if you are looking for a casual, homestyle dumpling restaurant. I would visit again to try more dishes.

We found this place online and decided to give it a try. It is located in a small strip mall near a corner of Stevens Creek. We arrived pretty late, ordered food off the qr code, a total of seven dishes. The dishes came out one by one surprisingly quickly. All the dishes were amazingly good. The servers were quick to refill water and to provide containers to go. The only issue I had was some of the dishes would say four buns, but only three came out and the service said it was due to an error in the menu.

Came here for an impromptu craving of dumplings and got seated right away. I liked that they have an extensive menu with lots of options for friends family and kids. I was happy to try some new things and some staples like a simple egg fried rice which my kid absolutely enjoyed. The quantity is good too. We got a bunch of different dumplings like the chicken and chive (which tasted ok) but the shrimp and pork shumai ones were really good. We also got the pancake which was interesting too. The ambience was very simple.. tables set up in a simple way.. nothing fancy but service was quick for the a lot of us. The paintings on the walls said a nice little story about dumplings and it was really nice to see and learn about that

Came here for a quick bite while I was in the area. This is located in a small strip mall area with limited parking, so keep that in mind. This is not necessarily a dim sum place, it kinda gives the vibe of a more low-level Din Tai Fung or something of that sort. We ordered XLB, green beans, garlic noodles. The food was decent, nothing to write home about in my opinion, but scratches the dumpling itch if you are in a pinch.

Very happy with our first visit to Dumpling Capital. Small parking lot in front. Two doors: enter through the left door to dine in. Through the right door you can see the dumplings being made fresh. The dining room is basic and casual. Option to order through QR or printed menu. Our server was very warm and kind. Food: cucumbers with peanuts (cold appetizer), Szechuan spicy chicken and spinach wonton, marinated beef scallion pancake roll, and lamb with zucchini dumplings. Everything was great! The cucumbers were nice and refreshing, the spicy wontons had lots of spinach, the beef roll flavorful, and the lamb dumplings were succulent. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be the lamb and zucchini dumplings. I look forward to coming back and trying more items!

Definitely on decline and a bit disappointed. I came 1 hour before closing which is still a reasonable time, seems that the staff are in a hurry to close, ordered the dimsum and it's definitely still a bit cold. Staff also look like they were ready to go home. The siu mai looked like any body just put in a microwave and heated, braised chicken feet same a bit cold and the sauce was still cold that it was still semi solid. Can definitely improved and trust me I knew this place when it was really good! Hope it gets better and they pay attention more

Delicious! I love dumplings and always am on the lookout for a new place to try. This place is authentic and checks all of the boxes for traditional authentic flavor and texture. The sauces are basic (soy sauce, vinegar, chili paste, and spicy sauce mixed with the dumplings. Will definitely come back to try some of their other dishes (noodles, beef, chicken, veggie and seafood).

We knew to go early, since they don't take reservations and we often see lines outside. We arrived at 10:30am and the front manager said if we can be done my 12:30, that they had a table for us. Party of 12, since we got there early, we agreed. The side room had the biggest round table for us. They ask you what kind of tea you want, we like chrysanthemum tea. You order the items on the paper menu and it comes to your table. So we got going on the orders and TBH, we must be hungry, because we did a lot of orders (we had plenty of left overs). Tried some favorites and a few new items that we thought were unique to their restaurant. My dad has to order crispy noodle and chow fun, and we also ordered chicken fried rice. The service was prompt and attentive, with enough servers to take care of the side room. Since it was the "sun room", the sun was shining through the windows and it was bright. Review from my parents: it was just meh, they prefer the other place near our house. I think the food is good, but probably won't come back again with a big group of us, since they don't have many big round tables. And personally, I prefer the whole experience of the ladies coming around with their carts. Perhaps their dinner menu is also worth trying. Bonus for us is that we can literally walk to this restaurant. Parking could be an issue if you come later.

Ironically, I'm not a fan of them myself--they're a bit too eggy for my taste. When it comes to dim sum quality and service, I honestly prefer Koi Palace. The food quality there is more consistent, and the service is much more phenomenal. The only things this place really has over Koi Palace are the lower prices and those black sesame custard buns my friend loves! I've been here at least a dozen times, and the food can be hit or miss. Sometimes dishes come out cold, like they've been sitting out for a while instead of being served fresh and hot. That said, there are a few items we always order that are consistently good when brought out fresh like salted crispy pork chops, siu mai, shrimp rolls, and fried calamari. Be prepared for a wait on weekends since it gets crowded. If you're coming with a large group, it's best to arrive before noon. The restaurant is located next to a hotel, and finding the restroom can be confusing since it's inside the hotel. Service is also pretty minimal--they seem understaffed, and I almost always have to flag someone down just to get basics like soy sauce, chili, and water. I don't understand why they don't just have the sauce on the table for guest to dip, but I get that they're saving $ on controlling the cost down. On my most recent visit, the experience really went downhill. Our table had food but no soy sauce, chilli nor water, and when I flagged a waiter multiple times, he got visibly annoyed and irritated. It was frustrating--we shouldn't have to chase someone down repeatedly for basic condiments. Being met with attitude for that honestly left a bad impression. That experience alone makes me reconsider coming back. Good food at a good price is one thing, but poor service--especially to that extent--can really ruin the overall experience.

Shrimp dumpling - Large, the skin broke on some Siu-Mai - good / ok Tofu skin roll - one of our favorites Chicken feet - four large chicken feet, plump, tender and tasty. excellent Shrimp rice roll - good, portion is on the smaller side Steamed rice in lotus leaf - good Turnip cake - large pieces, texture is on the harder side Egg tart - very good Although I appreciate the dim sum push carts as it's more traditional but probably because the first batch of items sat for a while in the cart, they were not as hot as I'd like compared to 'cook to order' places. The restaurant filled up nicely around noon which is good to see, dishes from regular menu we saw on other tables looked interesting and served in good portions. Overall, we had an enjoyable lunch with good tasting food and friendly service, price is comparable to other restaurants in the area. Easy parking is a plus. Once we were seated, everything moved rather quickly. We were given a menu to order -- we ordered and within 10-15 minutes, everything was brought out to us.
