DO NOT USE! Beyond unprofessional and his behavior was disgusting. Apologize for the language below but it's important to know who you are dealing with if you wanted to go with Dan the affordable moving man. My wife and I have used Dan for years and have thrown a lot of business his way and how he treated us and spoke to and about my wife is reprehensible. Due to issues with a home renovation being massively delayed, we had to change the move date. Dan was super rude on the phone with my wife and told her he needed $400, in cash, before he would even look at another move date. We called 10+ days before the scheduled move. When he showed up to collect said payment, my wife told him how hurt she was by how he spoke to her (A 15 year client) on the phone. Dan proceeded to swear repeatedly at her and call her a "Fucking Bitch". When I called Dan to demand an apology he did not answer and then proceeded to call her and us disgusting names via text messages which are attached below. This is how a third generation mover and someone in a "people" business speaks to and about long term customers. Imagine what he will do and say about you. Do not use Dan under any circumstances. Dan Vernay Jr is the owner of the business and the below interaction was with Dan himself via text message after his barrage on my wife.

Price gouging!! Dan had moved me in at the House of the Good Shepherd in Hackettstown. The move with 2 men wearing masks went fine. I called him to help move me just across the complex. He attempted to price gouge me. In November 2 men had spent 3 1/2 hours moving us in. $400 as quoted. This time he starts ranting that he need 3 men at $125 an hour for a minimum of 5 hours for a minimum of $ 625. I reminded him that there was 1 couch and 1 chair less. and that 2 men did it in less time. He became irate. He started yelling that he was not having his men wear masks and not able to breathe and stormed out, continuing to yell at me as he went down the hallway. Never have I had such bad behavior directed at me. I may be in a wheelchair, but I'm not stupid to be taken in by a thief. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DON'T USE HIM.

Zero Stars for his verbal abuse. Words that came from his mouth left me shaking. I cannot write here what he said. All this because I asked if does last minute moves. He was beyond the most offensive vile "professIonal" i have ever dealt with. He followed it up with a text.

The review is for 4.5 (more on that later) so it was rounded up to 5 stars for Yelp. Ironically, if it wasn't for Yelp's Project quote process, I would have not found this business, so I am thankful for that match! Couple of things made me consider Unwind, one being that Yelp offered a guarantee as Unwind was a business marked with a badge, which made the transaction eligible for coverage up to $2,500. It was like a warranty of sort - and the reviews offered, though small in number, were mostly all positive. My "move" was quite simple, per se. I just needed to remove a french-door refrigerator from a 5x15 storage unit and move it to a location. The tricky part was, it was packed away all the way inside the unit, so most of the items stored needed to be moved out. So during the Project quote process, I specifically wrote these details, hoping for a flat rate type of moving and not an hourly. To my surprise, the first mover I wanted came back with an astronomical quote of over $1300 (for a 3 person at 4 hours minimum) - a cost of a refrigerator! And other quotes were not promising either as they ranged from $1000 to $1800 - just for a refrigerator move! Unwind came with the first flat rate response of $375 - which felt like a steal - with 2 men and 3 hours, which sounded very reasonable! The conversation to process the move with Nadene was exceptional! She was on top of the scheduling, the move negotiation and details, and even getting COI (Certificate of Insurance) within hours of our conversation - nothing but impressive! Nadene was friendly and articulate, was such a pleasure to work with. She went through the details of the move and we made a decision to meet the next evening to complete the work. So why then 4.5 and not a full 5-star rating? Well, there was a hiccup during the moving process that could have been avoided. First, I went an hour ahead of our scheduled time at 5PM on the day of the moving to get started on the removal of the stored boxes to pave the way to the fridge. I had thought we would be done by 6, or 6:30PM latest and not having eaten lunch earlier, I thought I can 'survive' until then. Unfortunately, the prior moving job went over-time. My move kept getting pushed back. First to 6PM. Then to almost 7PM by the time they arrived at the storage. I was not doing well physically while waiting, I was also upset that the time management was not executed well. Nadene was upset also - the previous job did not disclose certain other item that they decided to add while they were already in the moving progress. She apologized for the complication, and this is where they earned my respect - first as a client and second as a small business owner. Nadene informed me that the owner - Sebastian - was unhappy with the outcome of my move because it was substandard for his business. He was now going to join his two men to facilitate a faster move, promising that they will get the work done as efficiently and promptly once they arrived. By the time they arrived, about 1/3 of the storage was out of the unit, they went to work straight away once arrived. Nadene knew of my situation (I attempted to order UberEats as I waited for the team, but the delivery driver got a flat tire on the way, and they cancelled the order!!). She felt awful about it, offered to go pick up something to eat but by this time, I was so exhausted and wanted to get it going so I declined. Nadene showed her concerns throughout the evening. Then as the fridge was finally out of the dungeon that is my storage unit, the team was quick to put all the other items back into the unit. Once they were complete, Sebastian went one step further and made an executive business decision to offer me such an exceptional resolve to make up for all the complications this move had caused. What was offered (not revealing it!) impressed me so much that he promptly won my future moving business. It also succeeded in retaining my word-of-mouth promotions I often offer for products and services (I've done campaigns for Samsung, LG...). Caesar & Wallace were left to deliver the fridge and they patiently moved in the new fridge and even moved the old one to place it in a designated area, as requested. They also took the time to install the water line to the ice maker part of the new fridge, to complete the work in a timely manner. They deserved every bit of the $100 tip they received! Unwind Moving lived up to the positive reviews they have been receiving, the hiccup only becoming a distant memory to the quality of service and Sebastian's business ethics. I can confidently say, Nadene will take excellent care of you, otherwise, Sebastian will step above and beyond to show that his clients are his full responsibility!

This company could not of been more accommodating or nicer. The person we dealt with was Barbara. She could of not been nicer and very prompt in returning calls, whether it was a week end or off hours. When they brought the unit as well as removed the unit, there is 0 damage to your property. They give you several calls to update you as to exactly when the unit will be removed. It is really cool to watch how a robot like piece of equipment takes it out. Again, I can only praise this company, especially in today's day and age where it seems so many businesses could care less about a returning customer. Thanks guys, and girls, 5 thumbs up !!!!!!

UNITS really saved our bacon after PODS failed us. We were having our basement finished and need…read moreto move everything out during construction. We had originally gone with PODS because they are the name brand you see all the commercials for. Unfortunately they failed to deliver our container on multiple occasions. We were running out of time with construction scheduled to start in two days. UNITS came to the rescue and was able to deliver a 16' container for the same price offered by PODS for a12' container. And they were able to deliver the same day. The container was clean and secure and it was delivered and placed with zero problems. It was picked up promptly when we were done. Would definitely use them again or recommend them for anyone else that needed on site storage.

When I finally went to move my things from their unit to a different one, my boxes were just tossed in what looked like a junk heap with ZERO care and I found out I was being ridiculously overcharged for literally a square spot in a garage. As my family and I were moving my items from their unit warehouse to our own truck we rented because the owner was going to charge us too much money for his employees to do it, EVERY BOX or piece we moved had broken, missing or damaged sections/items. the owner watched us as we took each box literally blaming us because we "touched it". the owner of this company is FOUL and nothing I owned was packed with care. I'm now finally unpacking, and I have THOUSANDS of dollars of damaged and missing items. I will one hundred percent be reporting them to the BBB and I hope they get stripped of all of their awards. THIS IS ADDED AFTER THE COMMENT FROM THE OWNER- MASSIMO- you are an absolute jerk I still have threatening and disgusting text messages from you after I called to say things were damaged. LITERALLY AT THE FACILITY YOU SAW ME TAKE ONE BOX AT A TIME and saw my face as I heard broken contents and you did NOTHING. I did not pack my boxes on moving day your team did and they did it TERRIBLY I even bought them lunch and tipped. Your team threw things in boxes and unloaded into a literal heap of a mess in your garage. And then you charge $300-500 a month for nothing. PUBLIC PLEASE DO NOT BE FOOLED BY A GREEDY MAN WHO TREATS CUSTOMERS WITH DISRESPECT. I simply stated on my review which I can't comment on that everyone needs to throughly inspect…read moreevery piece of furniture prior to signing paperwork. There is no need to be rude and I did mention the workers were polite. I didn't realize how thankful I should be over $50 that cost me so much more. I also stated I didn't inspect every single item which I should have done prior to signing anything! Maybe you could re read my review before replying hastily.
