Wontons in Chili Oil (8pc)

Went for happy hour on a Wednesday and it was so good. The service was great along with the bartender. Sat at the bar and the food did not disappoint. Shared wings, potstickers, Dan dan noodles, a guava martini and the spiked tea. The layout is perfect and the location is great.

Location in Suburban Square where it's a cute little place to dine and shop. Passed by here a lot and it always seems to be busy. Guess it's a good sign. One day, my girls and I decided to give it a try. DID NOT DISAPPOINT! No longer have to go into Chinatown, Philly for authentic Sechuan cuisine. Everything was fresh and delicious. Decent amount of spice to add to your life without it being too overwhelming for your palettes. Service was great. Very professional and attentive. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Been trying some places in Ardmore and Dan Dan was next on my list. I parked in the parking garage and walked over. Upon walking up I noticed they have outdoor seating as well. Since this was a solo mission I decided to dine inside. Walked in a they have a huge full bar. The decor is cutesy and modern. They even have like a sun room for dining as well. It was empty for lunch time. I was seated and given my menu's. Alex was my server he was great, very attentive and suggestive, I asked if there was a lunch menu he said no just smaller portions like appetizers. He stated the regular entrees were pretty big definitely enough to have take home. I wasn't interested in a huge meal so I got the turmeric wings, chicken & shrimp Shumai, spring rolls, and a matcha lemonade. So the wings reminded me of corner store Chinese wings but bland no other seasonings. The Shumai was ok but felt like I was eating some kind of wrapped meatball, tasted like pork but he assured me it was chicken and shrimp. The spring rolls delicious .. came out blazing hot. The matcha lemonade was great, just could have been bigger. I wanted the string beans but didn't want to pay $20 for veggies. I also want to try the Dan Dan noodles but only options I saw on the menu were pork and tofu. They should really consider lunch options and get some people in here during lunch. I would come back maybe during dinner when it's jumping.

I was craving Don Dan noodles, and my husband stumbled across this location in Ardmore! We've tried Dan Dan in Wayne (not affiliated I think), but we remember the noodles being pretty spicy. This location was able to tone down the spice. The flavor and texture of the noodles were great. We also ordered the wonton and chili oil with less spice and that was perfect. The service and ambiance here were great. We sat outside since it was a nice day out. We did notice there were a lot of servers and had someone new deliver our dishes or take away our dishes each time. Some were wearing casual clothes so it was hard to tell who worked there and who didn't. Overall, I recommend!

Safe and predictable is keeping the crowds coming. This is meant as a compliment, not too hot and not too mild. A solid location is Suburban Square. A large menu where you can follow the heat guide or make your own temperature. Service was good.

People whose opinions I respect give Dan Dan high marks. Was I missing something three years ago? Maybe. So we returned. And well .... my assessment hasn't changed by much. We ordered 'Happy Madison Chicken Wonton Soup" because we liked the name. The broth was spicy, the dumplings doughy and bland. Two thumbs up for eggplant and garlic sauce. Same with double cooked chicken, though it could use more chicken. My daughter suggested "Spicy Beef Hand Ripped Noodles." The noodles were perfect. The beef, soft and fatty. (After one bite S and I pawned our pieces off on my husband, who's a good sport!) Dan Dan is sleek and upscale. They've got a great outdoor area, which apparently requires a reservation, unless you agree to sit at a large communal table. I favor hole-in-the -wall Chinese restaurants, with great food and little ambience. When I don't feel like taking SEPTA to Chinatown, I'll likely stick with the lesser-known restaurant across City Avenue. Dan Dan is okay, but there are better.

Twiced cook pork belly dish is pretty good, lower the spicy level and it is not spicy at all. Napa cabbage is standard. I don't really like 3 cup chicken. The roasted chilli chicken is very spicy

Delicious food and great service! The shrimp fried rice and spicy shrimp were flavorful and fresh. Definitely recommend and will be back! Overall the place was clean and lots of outdoor seating.

For my birthday, I invited 10 of my friends to indulge in DanDan with me. We ordered scallion pancakes, DanDan noodles, bunapi mushrooms, vegetarian mapo tofu, flying fish, chicken dry pot, and tofu dry pot. Because we had a large number of gas, we sat at the oval table. It would be nice if there was a Lazy Susan on the table to easily access the dishes, but I'm just happy they had a round table. Service was very attentive and helpful. They even aided in bringing out the birthday cake that my friend graciously crafted for me! I always enjoy my experience at DanDan and often recommend the bunapi mushrooms to anyone I meet. I'm so happy to have celebrated my new year of life with my friends at a restaurant that I very much enjoy.

First time to the Ardmore location and like it better than the other two. There are a lot of inside seating and outside seating. It was crowded but service is prompt. The dishes are mostly on the spicy side but delicious.

We tried this place because we love Szechuan. Everything we tried was really good. I absolutely adored our cocktails ciao Bella. Our waiter was very nice and helpful.

My partner and I dropped into Dan Dan for a late dinner today. We ordered the vegetarian green beans and stir fried dry pot with beef. Both dishes were hot and had authentic flavors that paralleled what I've had in China before. On a personal taste, I wish the dishes were slightly less salty, docking off a star. What I really enjoyed about my experience at Dan Dan was the atmosphere and seating arrangement. I liked the upscale setting and music playing. The servers were also very attentive and refilled our rice without prompting.

High quality Chinese dishes, interior is really nice, food tastes good, if you like spicy dishes, got a lot to choose from Located in suburban square and plenty of parking near here on the garages or on the street

The Taiwanese fried rice is really good, as are the dan dan noodles, which is probably no surprise.

Always nice and spicy food. Service is good, restaurant is clean with the occasional dust on ledges, but not bad.

Service: each person with whom we interacted (hosts, manager, food runners and especially our server...she was fantastic). Food: For the table, we got Calamari: very light and crispy, but the meat was nice and tender Pepperoni and soppressata pizza: excellent, with an amazing sauce, sausage and crispy outside tender inside crust. Dinner: The kids both got the Rigatoni Vodka. This is what I had the first time we visited. It was just as delicious. Packed with flavor and the sausage was perfect. Tender, and just a touch of heat. My wife got the Gemelli. A pistachio pesto - this was probably the best pesto I've ever tasted. Creamy, fill of flavor and a touch of acid that brightened it up nicely. Incredible. I got the Bucatini Amatriciana. Pomodoro sauce with guanciale. Blew me away. The pomodoro was unbelievably well balanced. Exact amount of sweetness, slightly acidic and the guanciale brought the salty note, in the form of crispy crunchy bacon flavor, but surprisingly tender. Blown away. We had to try dessert. Tiramisu: it was as good as expected. Very well made Vanilla Panna Cotta: this was exceptional (like pretty much the rest of the meal) delicate and creamy, and a huckleberry compote (?) that was insanely good. A touch of salt was in there to make it positively sing. I could not more highly recommend giving this place a try. Absolutely the whole package. Loved it and will be back!

We decided to stop at The Grog Grill which I had only been to once before in the 23 years I've lived in the area. I recalled that at that time, the Grog burger had been named best of the Main Line so I tried it and thought it was definitely not the best burger. The service was excellent, the pub environment was pub-like, we were seated at a high top at the back of the restaurant and next to a door to to the outside which made it very cold! I wore my heavy coat the entire meal. Cobb salad - 3/5, I think it's hard to mess up a cobb salad, but this was just okay. Tons of bacon bits and not a lot of salad greens, almost like a deconstructed salad which is weird for pub food. Mushroom flat bread - 3/5, just okay What redeemed our lunch was that when we asked for the check, our lovely server told us that the older gentleman at the bar had taken care of it along with the checks for several other patrons that day. That's never happened to me before! I will need to pay it forward...just maybe not at The Grog Grill.
