We ordered drinks and 4 appetizers. We ordered potato skins, loaded nachos, soft pretzels and fried pickles. Everything was bad except for the fried pickles. Everything tasted it was frozen and heated up in the microwave and came out room temperature. Even the nachos had bagged salad on it, we found carrot slices on the nachos! It closed and has recently reopened. The owner was leasing it out to someone and now he's taken over management. They put some money into it. The restroom doesn't smell like sewer anymore, there is new flooring and the bar was re-varnished. I like the waitstaff, they're friendly and attractive (Tabby especially). It's nice that they have actual food there again instead of just a few fried selections. I tried the Chicken Al fredo recently and it fell far below my expectations. It was $12 and came with a very small side salad. When the actual entree arrived it was pretty underwhelming. The chicken breasts hadn't been cut, they were still whole. The pasta wasn't fettucini as one would expect. And the "al fredo" sauce was a glorified roux. It tasted like flour and butter. This place is a dump. Horrible food, especially the pizza. Drinks come in plastic cups. Once the food came, I had to ask for silverware and plates. The waitress brought out Parmesan cheese and peppers for my pizza and the cheese dispenser was empty. IT WAS GLASS! I could see it was empty before she got to my table!! Who does this? The building needs an update. Needs paint. Water front side of the bar is decent but the south side is pretty dark. This place can be packed sometimes. I have never been courageous enough to order food mostly because the kitchen is out of sight and the servers wander into a very dark hallway to get your meal. The draft options are awesome, the bottle options are awesome, the wine options are... not awesome. The staff is unusually awesome, especially Cory. I love to claim a patio seat here if I'm out with friends so I can see what is going on downtown with a view of the lake over Shade-Mylander plaza. read more

Stopped in for lunch while in town this week. Looove the patio vibe. Perfect set up! Beer was pretty cheap. Two good brews for about $5 a piece. I had a Reuben- I didn't hate it. Got it with chips which were covered in black pepper. I hate black pepper so it was a let down. My guy got a bacon cheeseburger thing and loved it! The fries were great! Service was pretty perfect for a low key type place like this. They just need an updated beer list, but We'll remember it next time for sure! read more

My boyfriend and I visited this pub last Monday night. We were staying at the Kalahari where they have many food options but we like to try out local places when we are out of town. My boyfriend was craving wings and by this time it was around 830 and surprisingly alot of places in sandusky close at 8! We drove by this place on our way to Water Street Bar and Grille but when we drove by it looked like a place we may like better so we went there instead. There were about 3 couples sitting outside drinking and when we walked in there were about 6 people at the very large bar they had. There was only one bartender working,she was older with blonde hair. We never got greeted when walking into the door but we sat down anyway at a round table right next to the bar. After 10 minutes of sitting there without a menu or a greeting I got up to grabbed a menu off the other table next to us. A few more girls walked in for drinks and they were served before us! This was after about 20 minutes of waiting. We wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt and gave her a few minutes more. She then started conversating with two men that were at the bar ( we were in her line of vision). At that point we decided to leave but before I did I went up to the bar and asked if we have to order our drinks and food ourselves at the bar,she and replied back in a very snarky tone "If i have time to serve tables I will serve them." Being a bartender myself I know that this is not how you treat a paying customer! I also use to bar-tend where I had to juggle a FULL bar and tables. She wasn't even busy and stood around for most of the time we were waiting, and the fact that we weren't even acknowledged really upset me. I told her we were leaving then because we wanted to be served at a table and we just waited 30 minutes without her even coming up to us! As we walked out she yelled " OK HUNNY DON'T LET THE DOOR HIT YOU ON THE WAY OUT" a bunch of locals seemed to chimed in as well making rude remarks. By the time we left it was 9ish and most of the restuatunts in the area were already closed. We ended up eating at CHEERS and having a great time,I highly recommend that place,the bartender we had named Barry was great too! (managed a whole full bar and tables as well!). I work in the service industry so i understand when a bartender is busy and has the whole place to themselves its obviously going to be a wait,but we waited for 30 minutes at a practically empty bar and were ignored. And for a person to yell at me as I walk out the door because I don't want to stay because of the poor service is UNACCEPTABLE. I called the manager the next day to tell her about our experience and she at least was very sorry about the whole situation and explained to me it wasn't the first time shes had a complaint about this certain bartender. She offered us drinks on the house next time we were in town but unfortunately, I don't think Ill be giving this place a second chance. read more

Worst bar in town, 4 bartenders and no service! What a joke, I have been standing at the bar for 10 minutes and the bartender with the half shaved head and lots of tattoos will not even acknowledge me. Not even a *I'll be with you in a minute *. Never again, avoid this place!! read more

Stopped in for a late dinner tonight. The food was amazing! But the service was the best I've had in a very long time. Chelsea was our server; she was so attentive and never let our drinks be less than half without asking if we wanted another. Definitely stop in and ask for her. Ordered pizzas and salads to go while we were staying in Sandusky. Walked to Daly's to pick up our dinner. Old architect building with that classic old city vibe. The staff was friendly and courteous. Had to wait a few minutes because we were early. So, I enjoyed a draft of one off there many beers on tap. Food was excellent. The kids really enjoyed the cheese and pepperoni pizzas. Salads were excellent too. I would recommend Stopping by Daly's for a pizza and a beer! read more

Love this Place! We have been going here for years. The place has a great view and a lot of history to the location. Its not the fanciest bar in town but it is defiantly one of the best. Make sure to stop before going to the Islands. read more

I've been here a couple times and I love it! Best reason for me is that they have Yuengling black and tan on DRAFT! Hard to find that anywhere. Their fried pickles are nice as well as their pizza and burgers. Haven't explored other options on the menu yet but definitely worth the trip coming from Fremont. read more
