BEWARE - BAIT-AND-SWITCH PRICING!…read more I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent experience with this company deserves one. I chose Firehouse Movers because of their glowing Google reviews, and their initial estimate was very competitive. Unfortunately, the final bill was a complete shock. To begin with, they insisted on a virtual estimate and refused to come out in person and assess the job. This was a 5000 sq ft home full of furniture, and I wanted the most accurate estimate possible. I asked multiple times for an in-person estimate, but my requests were declined. By moving day, I had sold two-bedroom sets and several other large pieces of furniture that were included in the original estimate. Even with significantly fewer items to move, the final price was more than double the original estimate. On the day of the move, I somehow went from needing two trucks, as stated in the estimate, to four. And from 9 to 17 total man hours. At the end of a long day, my husband just wanted them gone, so he reluctantly paid the bill before they could log anymore hours. When I called to discuss the bill, Firehouse claimed I had verbally approved the additional associated costs over the phone, citing a recording, which was completely false. I have asked multiple times for this recording, but I have not received it. That was not a small miscalculation. Our move was grossly underestimated. This whole experience felt misleading and dishonest. Stay away.

Before beginning, they walked the house and asked questions about how we wanted things organized. I was impressed on how much they were each able to move by themselves! They were beasts! Everything was loaded from our old house quickly. There were a few items that didn't fit in the truck but we were able to go back later and retrieve. Christian and Cameron wasted no time upon arrival at our new house. They were communicative and checked in periodically to ensure boxes and furniture were going to the right locations. They quickly unloaded and had our furniture reassembled in no time. We were very impressed by them. They carried themselves professionally and were friendly. They had us unloaded quicker than expected! They were very appreciative of the Gatorade we picked up for them and thanked us several times. After unloading, they walked the house with us to ensure everything was where we wanted it. Can't say enough good things about these two and about Einstein Moving. Price was very reasonable especially considering their efficiency and quality of work. Well-worth the cost. I've already recommended Einstein Moving to others. Would definitely hire again! Christian and Cameron worked hard on a very hot summer day and were well deserving of the generous tip. Thanks for an amazing experience! You have two wonderful employees!

GREAT SERVICE !!!!…read more I was a bit nervous as my last move was disastrous. But let me tell you, it was a smooth process from start to pickup, which put my worries at ease. I got detailed email follow-up calls and calls upon arrival, and I also did a video call to go through everything I was moving for the quote. And I like how they split the packing and moving to the truck. The two guys who came back to pack my apartment were great and worked so diligently packing my things. They came prepared with everything they needed, and I just got out of the way, and they did their thing Honestly, the value for the service they provided was worth it. So if you are planning to move and need a great customer, this is the place to call Updated review coming on delivery. This review was based on packing and removing everything from the apartment

I recently hired Hawk Movers to move my household, which included a large amount of high-end…read morefurniture. Roughly 90% of my furniture was Ethan Allen, and unfortunately, around 75% of all pieces sustained visible damage during the move -- scratches, dents, and more serious harm to structural parts. Now, I expect Hawk Movers may respond that I "knew" their liability was limited to $0.60 per pound per article, since that is the industry standard. That's true -- and it was in the contract. But let's be clear: a liability limit does not give a company license to mishandle a customer's belongings. The limitation only defines compensation, not the level of care they are supposed to exercise. Hawk Movers advertises that they have a 96% no claims record. After my experience, I suspect that number reflects how pointless it is for most customers to file a claim. Why? Because at $0.60 per pound, the payout is so tiny compared to the actual loss that it's simply not worth the paperwork. Here's part of the email I received after asking for a claim form, quoted verbatim: "It is our goal to make the claim prosses a fast and transparent as possible. Hawk Movers does not provide full coverage moving insurance for your move, as stated in your contract and also in the 'Your Move Is Booked' email that was send after your move was booked. We are governed by the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles. As a House Hold Goods Carrier we are liable for up to .60 per pound, per article. Hawk Movers LLC. also has the right to deny any or all claims." This response reinforces the problem: they openly acknowledge they don't provide full coverage insurance, yet they market themselves as if claims are rare because they take better care than competitors. My experience shows otherwise -- the "no claims" statistic may be more about the futility of the claims process than the quality of the service. If you are considering Hawk Movers, please read the fine print carefully. If you value your furniture -- especially high-quality pieces -- know that even catastrophic damage will leave you with pennies on the dollar. More importantly, no liability waiver should excuse a company from taking proper care of your belongings in the first place.

I was disappointed with the service and the overall experience. I reached out to the office and they refused to do anything to correct things and wanted to recharge me for their mistake.
