Finally, Mr. Handyman. I am so grateful I didn't just pay someone cash to do this job, but instead got a real company. I had the peace of mind that the company would back up their work, and their employees were fully insured. One contractor gave me a quote, and when I asked what kind of insurance he had, I never heard from him again. Big red flag. Thank goodness I opted to go this route. And as it turns out, I saved big money with Mr. Handyman. Though they charge by the hour, technician Christopher Wood worked exactly as promised: thorough, expeditious, and competent. When he finished at the end of the day, my bill was about $400 lower than the next closest contractor, due simply to his work ethic. Additionally, Chris and I drove to Lowes so that I could buy the supplies needed at cost. Not only did I appreciate this savings, but I was grateful to have him along and point at exaclty what I needed. He even showed me the difference in quality between two different kinds of boards, which only further proved to validate I made the right choice, because a different contractor had tried to sell me on one of the lesser quality boards at a higher price. Do yourself a favor, and call these guys. Aside from the peace of mind, they work hard and do it right.

I have received multiple messages from other people saying Caleb scammed them in exactly the same way. I have NEVER been so disappointed in…read moreusing a small "christian" based business and hope no one has to get scammed or disappointed by this dishonest business again. On August 3rd 2019, my husband and I paid $600 upfront for two barnwood doors, one with a mirror and installation. We were promised a week and a half turn around for getting them installed. After many excuses and me having to personally reach out to Caleb each and every time, they were finally installed on October 2nd (after having to rip our trim off when he told us he wouldn't have to and leaving our walls looking absolutely terrible). I stupidly paid the remaining $600 while they were being installed and didn't see the final result until after. He insisted what measurements for me to give him, however, it didn't allow for the doors to be properly shut, allowing you to see in and out of the bathroom when the door was shut. We immediately let him know our dissatisfaction and he told us to send him the new measurements and he would replace the doors immediately. I continued to be the one to reach out for updates and again, and was ghosted. On December 30th, 2019, I texted him that I was going to file a dispute with our bank and make a public post on FB, Caleb replied immediately saying he would have the doors done by the end of January. I continue to reach out for updates through May 8th, only to be disappointed with more excuses, and May 8th is when he quit responding. I told him we would let the bank handle it and I made a public FB post with my review since in December 2019 he removed his reviews from FB. Within hours of making that post he reached out to me that he would make it right in exchange for me taking my post down. Our doors were made the right measurements, no mirror, and dropped on our doorstep the following week and told us we could keep the old doors for all the trouble. I was 28 weeks pregnant at the time with a husband who had multiple obligations and didn't have time to install these doors. Caleb reached out the next day to make sure we got the doors and asked if i would be taking to post down. I explained no bc I was pregnant and having to go out and buy tools for us to do the install ourselves and STILL didn't receive the mirror or the install. (there's also no way for us to install a mirror that we will have to get ourselves without having to take the door frame apart and hardware off.) He told me that I should have said something and he would have taken care of it. But still told me that it would just be easier for me to go to IKEA to get the mirror myself. After almost 9 months he should have done everything in his power to make it right. Not just dropping the (half way) correct doors off on our doorstep all bc of a bad FB post reviewing his company. According to him "It was dishonest and deceitful to me just to get new doors. We are struggling right now and I made time to make things right with the agreement to take that post down". Bad reviews are the only thing that phase this business owner, not even disputing charges.
