Okay - you guys.... if you need flooring done at all.. you HAVE TO CALL TEXAS BEST FLOORING!!!! but…read moreseriously! Start to finish everything was easy - didn't have to worry about anything. They were super fast to respond to my initial request, less that an hour and I sent the request through yelp fairly late in the evening. David came and gave us our quote explained everything to us in detail (both positive and things that could happen to prepare for ie if we needed to replace some of the floor) answered all our floor questions and then some. (FYI he's a contractor too which worked out for us as we bought a home that needs a little more love) We were in a huge time crunch to get everything done before we moved into our new home. We called on a Monday, he was able to meet us Thursday, we signed on Friday. We had a week in-between to get a few other projects done (we painted and weren't especially careful with the floors) Noe and his crew were there the next week and it took them one day to get everything sanded and the first coat of stain on. Even with just one coat of stain it looked a MILLION times better! Who knew we had beautiful floors under all that grime! All in all it took them three days to do everything, and two days for our floors to dry. David explained how to best care for our floors and I couldn't be happier. In terms of securing a contractor and as a standard of practice, I would never suggest just getting one quote, but in this rare case I can state unequivocally a person can exclusively select Texas Best Flooring Company and not have to look elsewhere. This company and our experience is the exception and not the rule. Keep in mind, there is a great deal that goes into installing a floor. It encompasses many steps to do it correctly and it is a trade that requires precision. When we purchased our house in 2016 it had been a remodel with one of the rooms having hardwood floors that were not sealed and secured properly. Consequently, there were issues with moisture that exacerbated the original installation. Something a buyer could not detect initially. Fast forward to March 2026 and we interviewed two contractors who claimed from their website they had years of experience installing floors. I am sure those contractors had years of experience installing floors *incorrectly.* With Texas Best Flooring, David using specific instruments for moisture detection and moisture movement was able to analyize the data and then ascertain the root cause issues along with the subsequent impacts to the previous floor. What followed was one of the best proposals we had seen from a contractor that offered a comphrehensive solution for our floor. This proposal explained the methods and scope of work necessary to accomplish this installation the right way! The way it should have been done the first time around. The thoroughness of this proposal was indicative of the work that was to follow. From the grinding of the concrete slab phase, leveling, buffing, application of specialized expansion sealants, adhesives etc...the hardwood was ready to be installed. Every step of the process was completed with utmost quality and attention to detail. Their customer service is highly knowledeable and a pleasure to work. And David's technical team is cordial, considerate, clean and professional throughout. To summarize, Texas Best Flooring Company is a turnkey operation that provides exceptional services from cradle to completion. He seemed to be down to earth and honestly was the first one to reach out to me and was at my house on the same day giving a quote. Andy and Alex are fair priced, punctual, knowledgeable, clean (as clean as one can be during construction), respectful, creative and all-around great guys. They communicated everything (timing, cost, start, finish). They worked hard (even thru the weekend), stayed on schedule and they completed the project one day earlier than thought. How refreshing! Alex did a great job with his creativity in blending some of the floor material with the shower tile to break it up and give it some character. I appreciated his ideas. During the construction I was worried about our two fur babies, very curious cats. You know they get into everything. I was pleased as a pet owner, the crew made sure the cats did not escape. After I had paid and the project was essentially by definition done, but not 100%. I could've done the final touches (shower rod, touch up painting, cabinet knobs, sealing the new tile).... But Andy did return to finish and complete all of it. He also took out an extra 15 minutes of his day to install a new fan I bought for my bedroom at no cost, just being a nice guy. Thanks for going above and beyond! I've been ghosted by so many companies... after the job is done and they've been paid, all of the sudden it's like they don't know you.
