I visit this store regularly, so I've gotten familiar with the customer service in different sections. In the produce section, the staff are friendly and helpful. If you show them a picture, they'll help you find exactly the vegetables you're looking for. In the meat and seafood section, the staff's English isn't very strong, but they understand what you want if you take your time communicating. One thing to watch out for is pricing--sometimes the posted price is incorrect, so it's best to double-check. As for the cashier section, I've noticed that the best service usually comes from the younger cashiers who work at night, or the morning cashiers at counters number 2 or 5. They are friendly, fast, and well-trained. Some of them speak English fluently and are always willing to help. I especially appreciate the night-shift cashiers. They're relaxed and chill at work--sometimes they step away to chat with coworkers, but they always come back quickly if someone is waiting. There's one cashier in particular--the guy with glasses--who I always choose. He's friendly, jokes around in fluent English, and checks out customers very quickly. Overall, the cashier section is the GOAT and really makes my shopping experience much better

The reason for the low rating is that the management does not value the money the franchises are giving them by using some of the money to keep up the grounds which includes security and managing the restrooms. Is there security, yes. Are they helpful, no. They either stand up as a group and chat or sit in their vehicle rather than patrolling the grounds and deterring bad behavior. Moreover, the restrooms are out of order, with no regular maintenance to ensure they stay clean and well stocked. (See pictures of how the men's restroom looked for the week of Black Friday and how much worse it got by the Christmas holidays.) I feel the store options in this mall is top quality, yet the management needs to pay more attention to keeping the grounds up which includes expectations for the security staff they hire. Do more for the people, Town East Mall management team? We deserve for our community similar events that North Park Mall and the Galleria offer their guests.

This is Macy's new outlet store, the first one in metro Dallas. (There's also one opening in FW)…read more Saw a story in the Dallas Morning News about it and thought I'd check it out, as I spend a lot of $$ at outlet stores, and at Macy's! So I drove 30 miles roundtrip to Town East Mall, which is closer for me than driving to Allen (but not to The Shops at Park Lane's outlet stores). This "outlet store" is actually just another department located inside the regular Macy's Town East store and isn't separated by a door, or anything else. It's difficult to find in the store, with no signs pointing the way, not to mention no "Grand Opening," or anything else! I had to ask two sales associates (who are also difficult to find, btw) where it was. It's just a very small, oddly-configured rectangular area of the store on the lower level. It is not "clearance" from other Macy's stores; rather, for the most part it's cheap, unknown-name merchandise purchased for the "outlets." But, at the same time, they had what was apparently a real Gucci (under lock and key) and a real Tory Burch handbag for sale. Even though the whole area is very small, for some reason they devoted a great deal of space to selling soft drinks and junk-food snacks, which one would think they would be concerned might get spilled on the merchandise! Their shoe racks also contain very little merchandise, and they had a "decor" section with tacky rattan furniture and velvet hangers that looked like they were from DD's Discounts! Clothing is seasonal, with nearly every single women's top and dress I saw being sleeveless. They also have a kids' section. The fitting rooms (here called "dressing rooms" - what a novel concept!) have nice, three-way mirrors in the stalls, but they're not carpeted. Instead, there's a cement-like floor. An employee told me it was because carpet "doesn't absorb odors." Huh? Are they needing easy mop-ups because they're expecting homeless people-- or kids-- urinating on them? Or maybe to clean up spilled soda and candy that they sell? Thank God at least they don't have unisex dressing rooms, such as at Target and at Bloomingdale's Outlet! The background-noise level in the "store" was extremely loud and irritating. Not only that, there were two completely different styles of rock music blaring together so loudly with such cacophony that it made me want to cut my shopping short and run out of the store ASAP: "I'll confess! I'll confess!" They do accept Macy's credit cards, but you can't use your Macy's coupons. Also there's no 15% extra discount, or any other incentive, for using your Macy's card. I had to find out these facts from a manager, as the employee who was checking me out was clueless when I asked her. And they're so cheap, when I bought a maxi skirt and insisted they leave it on the hanger, they admitted they didn't have a long, plastic bag for it, only short ones, so they could save money. And unlike at regular Macy's, I was told you only have 30 days for a return.

It appears they have quite a selection of some types of hats and others are dependent on where they have overstock or irregulars. A Texas Treasure Worth the Trip…read more If you're serious about western hats, the Stetson/Resistol Hat Outlet is absolutely worth a visit. Whether you're passing through or making a pilgrimage, this place delivers on value, selection, and old-school craftsmanship you don't see often anymore. The selection here is huge. Literally stacked floor to ceiling. It's not laid out like a perfect boutique, but more like a working shop overflowing with options. You may have to search a bit and dig through to find your size because things do get a little jumbled and occasionally a size finds its way into the wrong spot, but honestly, that's part of the charm. You walk in and immediately feel like you're in the real deal: a workshop, not a gimmick. The pricing alone makes this a must-stop. Very fair, extremely competitive, and in many cases significantly better than what you'll find online or in western stores. Not to mention, you're getting hats straight from the source. What really set the experience apart, though, was the service. My wife and I were taken care of by Alfredo, and he was phenomenal. There was a slight language barrier between him and me, but they handled it gracefully, never rushed, always attentive, and they made sure communication was smooth by assisting with translation as needed. You could tell he took pride in what he does and wanted to get it right. The shaping, fit, and attention to detail here were outstanding. You're not just buying a hat; you're getting craftsmanship done right in front of you. Watching them steam, shape, and customize is its own experience. Hours are good, staff hustles, and the vibe is classic Texas hospitality. In short: huge selection, great prices, real people doing real craftsmanship. Worth the trip, worth the time, and worth coming back. Highly recommended.
