Well I had an unfortunate encounter. I was running late to…read moremy appointment that was at 11:45 I was going to get there at 11:57 most doctor places gives a 15 minute grace period which I really needed. so I called as I was on the way I asked if it was okay if I got there a bit late and she asked me for my information and put me on hold. I was half way there then another girl answered restarting the process. she then says "yeah I'll have to see cause he might have to get to the ones that make it" I felt that that was an unnecessary comment but I just said OK and then got put back on hold. Then I wait again and when I was right around the corner, she picks back up and says yes we have to reschedule you. I told her I was two minutes away, just at that light and she just said yeah cause the doctor has to get to the other patients. so she was in the middle of getting my information again to reschedule while I was already in the parking lot. I'm 15 minutes late and the appointment would've taken 30 minutes. So they benefited off of me being late getting in sooner. Rather than just having to wait a little bit. There could've been other patients later in the day that would've canceled getting everything back on track which is why I figured most places were fine with the 15 minute Grace period, but I know some places don't go by that so just wanted to get on here to basically tell yall if yall do run late more than like it'll be better to reschedule. I try not to be late, but in the misfortunate event I ended up late... I was just hoping for at least a better interaction. I still rescheduled because I have no ill way towards them. I'm just leaving a review on my encounter.

My husband went here for the past 4 years and has gotten 4 pairs of glasses he has yet to wear…read morebecause every time he gets them his prescription needed changed. He is on social security disability and lives pay check to pay check the optometrist that helped us was every pushy to get his eye examination done because he was her last patient. I think its ethically wrong for a business to know he has this corneal edema that isnt stable (obviously because the prescription changes a significant amount every year) and not advise him agent getting glasses and spend his money just to take it he spent over 400 this past set on glasses for all the lenses comforts for disappointment because he can't wear them. We would have gone back sooner about this matter but I had to do a little more digging and advocating to see more what corneal edema was all about. They advise you ain't getting prescription glasses till you have had lest two consecutive optometrist visits of no change in your prescription to get prescription glasses.

They were able to squeeze us in, but it meant a longer wait because it was essentially double booked. The Dr was polite but didn't explain much. Even when asking questions about the process or prescription he wasn't very clear or direct. Picking out glasses was easy, staff were polite and helpful. I was a little surprised that they let us place the glasses back on the shelf after trying them on. The other place I go to would have you put them in a container so that they could sanitize them before putting them back. Glasses came when they said that they would and they were easy to pick up. They didn't offer any discounts or specials for buying things 100% out of pocket which would be nice. We'll come back here because of the insurance, but it's not my favorite eye place.

I guess since I no longer had insurance I didn't matter. We ended up going to Dr. Eric A. Saidi, OD, in Big Bear Lake helped us and got my daughter contacts which we desperately needed. They even gave her several contacts for free. I will go there from now on and give them my business.

Buena Vista Eye Care-Adelanto…read more March 2025. The day following this exam began with not one thing going according to what I was informed would be the timeline. I waited the amount of time I was given then I called for an update then week of the 24th. I was told the lab was checking the quality of the lens. At this time, I had one and a half weeks until I was leaving the state again. I called later in the week and was given the same exact reason. The following week and with seven days remaining, I decided to go to Buena Vista Eye Care and inquire in person. I was again, given the same exact reason and I wondered if there was a sign hanging in the back area with this one response to be given to customers when and if they asked. At this point it was past the number of days I was told they would be ready and with my departure day at hand, I quite frankly told the gal that I was being screwed over. At the least, she could have called the lab for an actual update, but she didn't. I left on my trip without the new prescription I was promised and had to drive literally more than 3,727 miles (round trip) without decent glasses. However, I did receive a message while on the road that the glasses were ready. When I returned, I went to pick up the glasses and they were nice but I did question the obvious bi-focal lines. I spoke with the manager who finally explained why the delays; it was due to my insurance. Okay, if I had been told at the onset I would have had a different mindset. If the assistant had checked the insurance I would not have received erroneous information. I thanked her for the explanation and left. I tried the glasses at home in more detail and wasn't happy because at the inside area of both lenses were literally grind marks! I called, explained and was told to come in anytime and we would see what "might" be available as a remedy. I decided I did not have the time or energy for more of the same. I was again preparing to leave in a few weeks. Disillusioned, I drove to the store, placed them on the counter in front of the gal and told her that I would never wear these and to give them to someone else! "Really?" was the only response. I replied yes then left the store. This was a rotten experience that has truly left a foul taste in my mouth. I hope no one else has to suffer through this treatment and if so, leave your review to inform others of your experiences.

They were so friendly and nice did everything that I needed. I also got my glasses right away.read more
