My husband went here for the past 4 years and has gotten 4 pairs of glasses he has yet to wear because every time he gets them his prescription needed changed. He is on social security disability and lives pay check to pay check the optometrist that helped us was every pushy to get his eye examination done because he was her last patient. I think its ethically wrong for a business to know he has this corneal edema that isnt stable (obviously because the prescription changes a significant amount every year) and not advise him agent getting glasses and spend his money just to take it he spent over 400 this past set on glasses for all the lenses comforts for disappointment because he can't wear them. We would have gone back sooner about this matter but I had to do a little more digging and advocating to see more what corneal edema was all about. They advise you ain't getting prescription glasses till you have had lest two consecutive optometrist visits of no change in your prescription to get prescription glasses. read more

Just had the best eye care experience at Advanced Optometric Eyecare in Victorville on Bear Valley Rd! The office is clean and organized. Dr A. Wang answered every question I had about my eyes and his energy was a vibe. Leslie, his manager was a top tier professional and beyond patient with helping me try on at least 20 pairs of glasses until I found the right ones for me. I went to get an eye exam after I had lost my glasses and felt very comfortable with the staff, I was also able to look around for which glasses I wanted and did not feel pressured to hurry and choose. I was able to get my glasses that same day as they had my prescription in hand. It was a $25 rush fee but it didn't matter. Staff was friendly and the optometrist was very nice in seeing what lenses were a better fit to my eyesight. read more

Really bad experience overall. My wife just picked her glasses up from here. The prescription is off in one of the lenses. While the doctor was personable, friendly, etc., the exam itself was super fast/rushed. On top of that, the staff (specifically the young women who handle the orders/choosing frames, etc) were uninformed and made multiple errors on the order, causing my wife to have to return the glasses after the first pair wasn't made with high index lenses, even though she's specifically requested them due to her high prescription. On the phone, she was told she'd need to pay an additional $80 for the "fixed" pair. Once she was there in person, the young woman handling her order told her it'd actually be an additional $279. So, after over a month of waiting for the right glasses AND the extra money, she comes to find the prescription is off. I have no doubt this place has been good in the past given the high reviews, but something has fallen seriously off. We're a family of 6 -- all glasses-wearers -- but there's no way any of us will be coming here after her experience. read more

The doctors are cool but they overbook. The office itself isn't what I would consider clean. I'd say it is crowded / cluttered. Patients are somewhat crowded in terms of seating. The doctors are both friendly and personable. After the exam the young lady (petite dyed reddish burgundy head) wasn't helpful. Seemed like she didn't want to help. She didn't give any advice whatsoever. (I don't leave my home dirty or smelly and I'm also polite; so it wasn't me.) Regardless- this is not a facility I would recommend based on customer experience. Very unhappy with this Eyecare as they are VERY expensive for everything and not any help in your choosing what looks good as well as NO warranty no glass cleaner wipe or box that's so cheap on their part. I will NEVER refer anyone to that office I hated America's best but they did give me a warranty as well as cleaner and bag. Dr. Was ok. Never did get used to the new glasses I believe they gave me the wrong RX after a week of wearing I still have blurry and can't see clearly while driving. They must have given readers not continuous wear. I don't recommend this office at all. TLDR; This place is dishonest, unprofessional, and isn't capable of actually providing the products you depend on them to provide. If you're considering giving them your hard-earned money, I implore you to try and find an alternative. The doctor who performed my exam was excellent. The issues occurred, and have yet to be resolved, regarding my eyeglasses and sunglasses. I ordered a pair of regular glasses, which included Oakley frames with transition lenses and most available options. I got a phone call where a staff member told me the lab had broken the frames, and they could not find a replacement for the item I'd purchased to have the lenses fitted into. They wanted me to accept a similar frame (which, from my research, was less expensive) without refunding me the difference between that frame and the one I had purchased. It's been a month now, and I still haven't received the glasses I purchased. I called them and got a run around about how this is out of their control. When I asked how long I could reasonably wait before seeing my glasses a month ago, that number was 4 weeks. However, now it's the fault of the pandemic (which did not suddenly appear last month), the fault of the lab, and the fault of anyone or anything other than these people who find it impossible to accept responsibility for their own business dealings. My second purchase was to insert new lenses into a pair of Ray-Ban sunglass frames I already owned. They informed me about my sunglasses being finished after 1 week. However, there was only one problem. They'd stretched them out so much that they won't stay on my face anymore. Before I handed them my frames, they demanded that I sign a waiver of liability if they broke them. I've never run across an Opthomestrists' office who had asked me to sign such a document in the past but thought nothing of it because this place has a pretty decent track record on here. That turned out to be a red flag I shouldn't have ignored, but live and learn. read more

I am really blown away by the very few bad reviews some people have left for this optometrist office. I've been wearing glasses and contacts for about 20 years and have been to about 7 different optometrists in the time. I was nervous to come here as a first timer because some places can be pretty bad. This place blew me away on how good my experience was with the front desk, the Dr. and Kyle when picking up my glasses. I didn't have insurance at the time, but they gave me a 20% discount for cash paying customer. My full eye exam was one of the lowest prices I've ever paid in my life($160.00 glasses and contacts exam). I brought in my own frames and got new lenses to the new prescription done for $55.00 bucks(cash). Like, wow! Also, the glasses had a one week turnaround time, and I was wearing my new glasses in 7 days from the time of exam, and I could see again. I recommended this place to my family and friends. I recommend it to anyone up here living in the high desert. A good optometrist is hard to find up here. Save yourself the drive down the hill. read more

First appointment was fantastic. Great service. A young man that works there was really concerned about the health of my eyes; so much so that he mentioned my previous detached retina situation to the owner when he went by the office. The owner called me with suggestions and gave me great advice. Again, top notch service. The only thing that didn't convince me much was the try-and-fail approach to increase my bifocals' reading prescription. It was more of a guesstimate than anything else since I complained that I simply couldn't read with my glasses on. Nothing was tested, I wasn't given anything to read nor measurements taken. It is possible that there's no way to test for that, but with technology what it is, you'd think they had a way. Again, though, service was friendly and professional. Fastforward 2 weeks. I'm currently sitting in the cold outside, waiting for the doctor to fill out a DMV form for me. I don't mind the $25 charge, but, there were no customers inside. There were 6 empty chairs far apart, no one using them. But I guess since this wasn't a "visit"... The lady in reception (Zuli?) acted like I was a bother, for some reason and just cracked open the door like I was a Jehovah's Witness. I saw all the empty space ame the warmth inside once it was time to pay; but I had to invite myself in, otherwise... That's it. One rotten apple and all that... I say, try this place.
