Customer care, every time I called the first thing that was priority is my insurance, and if I was going to pay with my insurance That wasn't even the reason for the call to begin with, Then the whole attitude behind the person who answers the call. You can tell. They really don't want to talk to you. When you leave a message, they respond with a cold text. That is even worse.. This clinic was highly recommended Highly recommended, but once you get in there, and you get established, the treatment is different I don't think that the physician knows what staff is doing with customers, I have an amazing insurance, and I'm OK with going elsewhere I shared my concerns with an employee, and when asked to speak with the physician that also became impossible This is why people go down the hill to get good services Very unfortunate I do not recommend going to this clinic. The Dr herself is spending great amount of time with patients to examine their visions so carefully. I've had maybe 4 pairs of glasses in my life and while I haven't had a bad optometry experience anywhere, I keep coming back to this place because of how good they are with kids! The only negative, is that sometimes it's quite a wait. But honestly it's worth it. The staff is friendly and polite, always taking special interest in my children. They are patient with the kids, even when my son refused to let them do eye drops, they did not push or get upset. The woman who does the initial testing and images of your eyes is very knowledgeable and explains everything in depth. The dr is amazing! I love that I can ask her questions and she doesn't make me feel ridiculous for not knowing. She was even patient when I had to bring my toddler along. When you go to choose frames the staff that assists is also helpful and tends to go above and beyond. Normally I just walk around and do my own thing but if I need anything more I only have to ask and they're quick to act. They check your insurance thoroughly and always have a set price for you so you're not surprised. Overall the best in the High Desert for eyeballs and glasses! read more

Absolutely Amazing and HIGHLY Recommend!!! From the staff to the eye doctor, everyone in the office was very nice, caring and professional. The office atmosphere is relaxing, comfortable, and very clean. Our wait to be seen wasn't long at all, from our arrival to getting checked in, examination, eyewear/ contact fitting and checked out, for the both of us we were there maybe 90 mins, it was very streamline and little to no waiting in between different procedures. The selection of eyewear is huge they have so many different designer, sunglasses and basic glasses available, just from looking around the selection is perfect for anyone looking for some new stylist glasses. The equipment they use is state of the art and some of the nicest equipment I have seen around and I've been to many different eye doctors here in the High Desert. I'm trying to remember the name of the eye scan, but highly recommend it, for a small fee the doctor is able to exam the entire eye from front to back and up and down, for any abnormalities, like tumors, bursted eye vessels, and even glaucoma, she's able to see more then that, it also allows them to see the overall health of your eyes. I was just taken away by how cool the scans looked of my eyes and the doctor took the time to explain everything I was looking at and had a printed eye diagram so I could reference which part of the eye we were looking at, it was super cool and brings some peace of mind. I just want to say, Pham - Sava, O.D. and her entire staff that we dealt with today was Fantastic. You guys are the Best!!! read more

I've been bringing my family here for the past few years. Our experiences have always been good. Dr. Sava is very nice and explains your prescription to you. I've never felt rushed or hurried by her or the girls helping to pick out frames. They also have a very nice selection of frames. I've tried a few other eye Dr. In the Hi Desert before finding Golden eye. All of the other eye Dr.'s were horrible experiences. Before calling Golden Eye, of course like anyone else I looked at previous reviews just to see if it was a good spot to get your eyes checked. A lot of the reviews say that the staff is somewhat rude, and if they know that you have IEHP they do not help you. Well I literally just got off the phone, trying to book my first appointment here. The lady asked "before scheduling your appointment what type of insurance are using", to which I answered IEHP. As soon as I say the words, she then says "I'm sorry but we're actually no longer taking appointments at this time". How is that so when at the start of the call I clearly stated that was my intention and all up until I mention IEHP, I can no longer make the appointment? So what's the catch with IEHP? Why can't you help patients who use it? I want to know. read more

I call to make an appointment the girl ask me for my insurance first she told me yes they have appointments then when I told her about the insurance IEHP she said they don't have appointments but really rude she said to call back in a month and in really rude way she told me that the insurance is not gonna cover nothing just the exam!!!!! You should be polite because not everyone can pay an expensive insurance!!! So never gonna go there again by the way I been there before with another expensive insurance and everything was fine!! Had been going to Costco or other substandard optometrists for several years. I finally waited over two years to even go because I could not find anyone in the High Desert that I felt comfortable with. They either had antiquated equipment, poor patient skills or they rushed through the process and did a bad job. Not so with Golden Eye! I was so impressed with the time spent and the care taken. The optometrist is really good at interpreting the exams. And their equipment! OMG! Optos can see inside your eyes without being dialated! Who doesn't hate that process? The staff is caring and thorough. When I went to choose my frames; they unlocked all their relevant cases so I could pick out the ones I wanted to try on & they put out a tray for me to return them to so that they could actually clean them before putting them back in the case for the next person to try! 5 stars isn't enough for this business. read more

Let me start by saying that the office staff is great. They are friendly and helpful. With that said, the optometrist needs to stay in her lane. While looking into my eyes with her light, she paused for a couple seconds and suddenly said, "Uh, I'm seeing a gray ring around your eyes. "I'm urging you to go get a blood test ASAP because it means your cholesterol is very high." To say the least, I had my yearly physical with a blood withdrawal and I'm perfectly healthy. Awesome eye doctor and staff! Myself and my daughter recently had appointments here and it was a great experience. Janice was kind and patient with us when we had difficulty with the eye puff test and the other test that we opted to have which was a photo of our eyes rather than dilation. Dr. Sava was very friendly and was eager to explain the questions I had for her regarding my eyes. If I could give a negative star review, I would. Upon entering the office for the first time, as a new patient, the receptionist/office manager asked " what are you here for?" Hmmm, so trying to insert some humor, I said "hopefully not to see the dentist!" Guess she had zero sense of humor because she rolled her eyes and looked disgusted by what I said. I told her it was a joke and to try to smile. She was just plain rude and did not act like she appreciated her job. I mean really, smile, have a sense of humor. Being nice doesn't hurt . Dr. Sava and her staff were wonderful. Went in for a year eye exam and new glasses. Made the appointment the week before and got a call the day before to remind me of my appointment (which I'm so glad cause I had forgotten!). Walked right in and was taken care of! Terry was wonderful in my glasses fitting and Dr. Sava was so kind and caring! I cannot remember the doctors assistant but she was amazing too! I paid for progressive lens that caused migraines. I picked them up on Friday & returned them on Monday. The employee Terry, thought that she could lie & tell me that I couldn't get a refund and that it was VSP's policy. Little did she know I had already spoken to VSP and they have no such policy. Did she really think that I was going to just eat the $95.00? This will be the reason I find a new Optometrist. I like the doctor so I am going to talk to her about this. read more

This is the second optometrist I have visited in the last few years. I felt very comfortable during my visit. I opted for the digital retinal scan (though I'm not sure exactly what it was called) and I am glad I went for this over dilation. They were thorough in their examination. I did not feel rushed at all and that was a relief as I want to make sure I fully understand the results of my exam. The waiting room was well-lit and clean. Dr. Sava explained my results to me in a way that was easy to understand. Another bonus was not feeling pressured to buy glasses from their office! I will definitely be returning. read more

I love this Optometry. The staff is welcoming once you arrive to check in. I've been a patient for about 6 years to get my eye services. They have a great selection with eyeglasses from inexpensive to expensive. I love how they have big name brand glasses like ( Versace, D&G and many more). Cesar is the one who helps me out when it comes to picking up my glasses frames. He is always helping me pick which type of glasses fit my face structure. He's makes sure I understand the insurance I have. Making sure I get the correct eyeglasses that covers my insurance. The optometrist doctors are great when it come to my vision exam, I'm always asking question and they're eager to answer my questions. My son, who is developmentally disabled purchased glasses there, that keep losing the little pad on the nose piece. When he takes them in to be fixed they are rude and want $10 to fix them.
