Their prices are very high. You will be waiting atleast a month for your glasses so hopefully you don't need them that bad.

It is that time of the year again to get our eyes checked. Both my daughters and I got our eyeglass…read moreprescriptions from our optometrist a few weeks back. Now we are ready to get our eye glasses from Costco Optical. Upon arrival, you'll want to scan the bar code to get your number in line. Yes, it's no longer a piece of paper you pull out from a holder. The scan is a better system than before IMHO. Once your number is up, you'll be called and helped by one of the staff members. My daughters and I spent some time looking for the perfect eyeglass frames. Luckily, they both found something they like. Funny, they picked from the same designer, but just different designs. I, on the other hand, was a bit choosier. I got two pairs... one for computer and another for distance. Yes, I am at the bifocal stage, but chooses to do the put on, take off, and put on method LOL. Hey, it works! Kid you not, eyeglass frames at Costco Optical is super low cost! You can't beat $50+ or $60+ frames. They have a very good selection of frames and they are of good quality, too. They also have higher end frames. The add-ons such as transition, high index lens, etc will be additional cost. They currently have a fantastic special... buy one pair, get another pair for $50 off. With my VSP benefit, it's even more savings. Both my daughters eyeglasses came out to be a total of $169+ and my two pairs were a total of $280+ (I had a few add-ons because I'm old and need the extra help LOL). I am very pleased with the outcome. Thank you! Staff was exceptionally nice, friendly, patient, and very helpful. Thank you so much H* for your extra attention and care! You know who you are. I will come back to Costco time and time again for new eyeglasses. Thank you, thank you, and thank you!

It's that simple, after 10 min she calls me and then leaves to get my RX. Comes back and goes behind the counter to talk to the lady another 10 min without saying anything to me and leaving me at the table. I just left after that. It was very clear she was intentionally ignoring me. It seems after Covid everything went downhill. I manage two dental offices and I would never treat a patient like this. It was ridiculous

FYI: This is the VISION CENTER in the MALL…read more My husband and I recently went to the Vision center and I have to say if you're looking for a rude and un-polite experience, this is the place for you. The doctors are okay, however the entire experience is nothing but work. Trying to get an appointment seems like pulling teeth to these receptionists. They can't be bothered with you, and forget scheduling an appointment.... That is just to hard to do. The Spanish girl with brown hair is the worst one of all!!! I will NOT be returning because these people need to offer more than great glasses...they need some decent staff as well. I would rather spend more money and have a nice experience. I spent over 600.00 out of my own pocket, not including insurance, and somehow these women made me fill like I was trash! Wal-Mart has better staff, and that doesn't say a lot in my opinion. Horrible, Horrible, Horrible experience.

This is the "McDonald's" of eye care. If all you need are…read morenew lenses or such, I'm sure its fine. We called with a worrisome issue, a possible retinal tear. We were told Dr Katz could see and diagnose, so went went right down (because they were listed as a provider on our VSP vision plan) Katz did a quick eye exam and assured us all was fine and just needed new contacts, said these symptoms "happens to many people at 60". Low and behold, days later (while we wait for the new contacts to "come in") my husbands symptoms are getting worse... So I called and spoke to a GP doctor who said there is NO WAY anyone can just look into an eye - even an OD -- without dilating the pupils to see a retinal tear. There could be a torn retina still - that we dont know about. A dilation was NOT done by Dr Katz... so his reassurance was worthless. We wasted time, and could still possibly have an emergency issues that could cause my husband to go blind. Is this the industry standard of eye care? I hope not! In years past we've gotten contacts there, with mediocre results... but it's a walk in vision place in the mall.... what can you expect?? For our eyesight we want a real ophthalmologist who knows what they are doing. Please dont guess and gamble with our eyesight. The least Katz could have done is take and look and say "seems OK on the surface, but I recommend you get a dilation, and I don't do that" Geesh. That said we had NO issues with any of the staff...They were all fine, and friendly. The setting was hectic and busy with a lo of walk ins... and the staff was preoccupied, but for good reason.
