I liked Zemari's when it was in Commerce Place and I continue to be a fan with the new (really not so new anymore...) location. I was a fan of the crostinis and tried the 4 cheese with bacon added, it was a bready, cheesey, bacony delight. The coffee was very good. Paid parking on the street or parkade. Couple of small things that could improve the experience, of the two taps is the women's washroom, neither seemed to work. We asked for coffee warm up and only one of us got a top up. It's a beautiful location in the heart of downtown with big windows and tons of natural light. A great place to sit and watch the street.

Dalla is a beautiful and modern Italian restaurant downtown. They serve delicious pastas but I decided to try one of their panini sandwiches for lunch recently. I was not disappointed & it was a very enjoyable meal. Muffaleta Sandwich $11-it came with an assortment of Italian meats, provolone cheese & olive paste on ciabatta bread. So yummy and full of flavour in each bite. Bread was soft to bite into Della Casa $5-Add on roasted tomato soup with coconut cream, sourdough croutons & fried capers. Loved the creamy tomato soup and it complemented the sandwich well Their panini sandwiches are served until 3pm everyday.

Pleasantly surprised. Stumbled upon this restaurant and ordered to go. The ambiance and decor are comfortable and clean, nice outdoor seating area as well. When i walked in everyone was very attentive. Ordered the italiana salad and the frantoio pasta. Absolutely delicious. Will resvisit when I am in town again and eat in.

I finally had the opportunity to try out Dalla Tavola Zenari this weekend! The food was good, but I was disappointed! I found myself comparing everything to the old Zenari's and I wished they had some of the old menu items! .

My Sister and I were shopping nearby and spotted this beautiful restaurant. (We actually smelled it before we saw it.) It's a busy place at noon, so we were lucky to get a seat. Windows wrap around the building, so there is lots of light. Our server was nice and we didn't have to wait at all. We each had chicken salad sandwiches on focaccia. My sister specified that she had a tomato allergy and yet the bread arrived with sliced tomatoes baked into the bread. It was replaced immediately with apologies. This error could have been really serious. Her Italiana salad was delicious, but VERY heavy on the garlic. I would not eat that on a date. I had the tomato soup. It's always on the menu. One of the best I've had. The soup of the day was Minestrone. We both enjoyed our food. My decaf Americano was the best! We really needed to buy gum after lunch.

I've been interested in visiting this restaurant after spotting it from visiting OEB for brunch. This Italian restaurant is located conveniently downtown with a nearby parking garage and street parking. We visited on a Friday evening and had made a reservation. I wasn't sure if the reso was needed, but I'm glad that we had one! The restaurant was packed, and after trying their food, I can see why. I loved the interior of this restaurant. It is open with a modern Mediterranean feel. Their menu has everything you could want in an upscale Italian restaurant but with moderate pricing. I tried the Lasagna Bianca, Rossa salad (beet salad) and the Tiramisu. The Lasagna Bianca absolutely blew me away. It is made with white cream sauce, chicken, sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms, ricotta and spinach. This was probably the best lasagna that I've ever tried. The portion was generous and I had a nice piece to take back home with me. For $21 this is an absolute deal! The food is fresh and high quality. What I love about this restaurant is that it fills a gap that's lacking in the Italian restaurant scene. Edmonton either has stuffy, low quality Italian restaurants (I won't name names but there's a few) or very high priced upscale Italian restaurants. Dalla is upscale but with affordable pricing. I can't wait to visit this restaurant again and try their lunch menu. I have my eye on their paninis, cheese plates, and crostoni (sourdough flatbread).

Good place for no fuss, affordable, homestyle pasta and sandwiches. It's the kind of place does not make their own pasta or bread, but they do serve hearty sauces, and give you generous portions of cheese. Great for a quick lunch or casual dinner. Also has several vegan and vegetarian pasta options.

Lasagna Bianco at Dalla. So rich and delish!

Came here for dinner with my girlfriend and we were not disappointed! Great service, great atmosphere and reasonably priced. We had the sm beet salad to start. The dressing was tasty and had a good zing to it. It was underwhelming though as beet salads go. We then shared the lasagna bianca. This dish is very rich but sooo good. I'm glad the waitress told us the serving size was huge. If you get this and don't share it then I recommend no appies! You won't finish it otherwise! Highly recommend!

Gamberetti Sharka shrimp in an amazing basil, tomato sauce.... Yummy.

From our server Justin who had some awesome recommendations to the wine and then the amazing food the night was awesome. I would highly recommend this little gem.

Beautiful place. Lovely Italian food. Also the portions are niceband generous. Great date place or place to come in out if the cold.

Located right in the core of downtown. Dalla reinvented themselves into a beautiful Italian restaurant. The drink menu is big with lots of great cocktails and wines. I had the Hugo a prosseco cocktail perfect for the heat. The drink was refreshing and delicious. For food I had the vegetable crostini which was decent. The only issue here was the crostini was missing some acidity to break the flavors. Perhaps olives would go very well here. Overall the prices are decent and the quality is very good.

I started the meal with the Don Vito cocktail, a spirit forward sweet concoction of Cognac, Bourbon and Limoncello. Immediately felt like it set the perfect tone for dinner. The tasting menu started with four appetizers, the Arancini, Goat Ricotta Crostini, Insalata Siciliana and the Culatello. My favorite was the arancini as it was packed full of melty cheese with so much flavor. The culatello was a crowd favorite and the crostini was a great palate cleanser. For secondi we had the Truffle Gnudi and Paccheri. For people who like meaty flavors go with the paccheri, but I liked the light cheese and truffle of the gnudi. By the time the Pollo Al Mattone came around, I could only manage a mouthful of the succulent brick chicken and the fresh cabbage salad as I was so full and would need to be rolled out of the restaurant. We ended with the Chocolate Budino, which was dark, creamy and delicious. A great tasting menu at a great price, especially compared to Toronto prices!

The appetizer with the cheese on toast was so much more flavorful than cheese on toast should be. Our companions had a pasta dish with sausage and it was amazing. If I lived in the area this would be a favorite to return to often. I like that the bartender just works on drinks for servers and there aren't patrons directly ordering drinks from him to slow the service.

Place has "very fancy" feel and would be good for special events/celebration dinners. Free bread to start was fine but not the best I have had. I prefer mine with butter but the oil/vinegar is probably more typical. We tried the: Calamari: 10/10, great texture, loved that we got 2 sauces to dip in. Fettuccine Tavolino (cheese wheel pasta): 10/10. Boyfriend was not too full after. Pasta was cooked perfectly. Nice cheesy creamy flavor. Ravioli Alla Zucca: 9/10, I can't remember if there were 6 or 7 ravioli in the dish. Very pleasing presentation. In my opinion too many sundried tomatoes. I love that it comes with sundried tomatoes as that added some great tang/flavor. Ravioli themselves were perfectly cooked. Brown butter sauce was excellent and wanted more. Creme Brule: 9/10, exactly as expected, definitely enough to share between 2 people. Affogato: vanilla gelato was 11/10 good to me but boyfriend didn't like the flavor. We both agree the espresso was excellent. Very small portion (too small to share!). Free cookies at the end were fine. Overall food was excellent and I'll be back but to try something different on the menu.

Violino, in an old home, its staff, and the food exceeded our expectations. We will most certainly be making a reservation the next time we visit the Oilers hometown. Damn that was good! Ushered upstairs, didn't really get a chance to take it in, so will be sure to stop and look around next time. The complimentary bread was great, the martini's good although one glass had far more than the other. I ordered the spaghetti bolognese, and although quite different from what we make at home, was excellent! K had the Alfredo flambé which was fired up tableside. It seems to be a popular option as it happened 6 or 7 times while we dined. They also don't soak you for the privilege of the tableside presentation. It was a little cheesy for K, but excellent nonetheless. Our server Eugenia from Hamburg was excellent, she can serve us anytime. She was attentive, and her timing was exceptional! We plan on making a reservation the next time we are in Edmonton. Top notch experience!

Server was nice but never refilled our table water even after we moved it a couple times to be within her view of the table (my friend swears he saw her see us move it to the edge of the table too). Rialto Float cocktail was nice if you like Pisco. Royal Jamaican Ginger beer was good too. Olive Calde - large portion for price. Olives were fine. Calamari - 10/10 delicious, dips were great too. Gnocchi with pancetta - 10/10, surprising filling and even though the Gnocchi were huge chunks they were well cooked. Waitress recommend Campanella Aragosta - 7/10. If you like spicy it's fine but otherwise the flavor is actually very bland. Pasta itself was unique and well cooked. Large portion. Beef Brisket Agnolotti - 7/10, 8 large ravioli filled with brisket. Sauce was good, ravioli were well cooked but brisket inside was pretty underwhelming. Friend who got this dish was ++ hungry still after and said he would order something else next time for the price. Funghi Cipolla - 8/10, it was as expected. Ricotta cheesecake - cheesecake itself was great with the ricotta taste but crust was soooo bad. So overly thick and dry and considering our waitress failed to give us water the entire meal it was impossible to eat (so dry). Date cake - Unfortunately they didn't have gelato as was advertised on the menu to go with the cake so whipped cream was substituted. Was told this only after we ordered and friend asked for the flavors of gelato. Cake had a few uncooked flour lumps. Flavor was fine but not as flavorful/spice-heavy as I hoped. Sprouts on top looked really messy but tasted fine. Overall not a seamless experience as I would have expected from an establishment of this caliber.

For food, there was black tiger shrimps, scallops, risotto, rigatoni (not al dente), brazino (sea bass was the best dish of the night) and short rib.
