Food was awesome, very cheap but good. The waitress was very friendly, waiting time after making the order was about 15 minutes. The ambiance is peaceful, quiet. Perfect place to stop an having lunch if you are driving in the area

Loaded Potato

Sweet over pulled pork, we all just tried the pork and the medium sauce is not much heat. We had a special potato and it was huge but don't care for it when the baker takes on that off white been around a bit color. Service was quick. Building was alluring from the exterior, inside did not seem to match. They do have a long handicapped ramp.

Sampler dinner!

Maybe an off day today. Waitress wasn't super friendly. Ordered the rib eye sandwich special with potato salad and beans. Sandwich was fatty and bone dry (had to go up and ask for bbq sauce), potato salad is always good and the beans would be better hot - or even warm. Waitress never checked on us. I'll be back - everyone has an off day.

Meat was greasy and mealy, saturated the bun to mush immediately.

We picked up 2 sandwiches to go. Husband ate his but was not impressed. Mine was inedible. Tiny serving of mealy meat on giant bun that turned to mush within seconds because of the grease, and I'm pretty sure that sauce was just a cup of more grease on the side. It looked and tasted like orange water. The pics of this place looked good and I normally wouldn't complain, but this was shockingly bad.

Shredded pork w/ side of baked beans and potato salad

Finally got to try this restaurant out after visiting Dale Hollow many times in the past. They were usually always busy when I wanted to go before, ate dinner a bit early so had no problem getting in yesterday evening. I got the shredded pork with baked beans and potato salad, the meal was excellent! The bbq sauce is like drenched in the pork and to me that's what makes it very tasty and different from other bbq restaurants, you don't even need extra sauce, has plenty on it! The staff working here were all very nice and checking up to make sure we had everything we needed. Sat outside on the deck which was very nice. If you're ever in the Celina, Tennessee area and looking for some where to have good bbq for dinner, I recommend stopping here, I'd have a hard time believing you'd be disappointed! I wasn't!

Service was decent - it seemed like my questions confused the staff but they were nice. Forgot our bbq sauce but that happens. My bf likes the pork shoulder and I love the pulled pork. It's very tender and their bbq is vinegar based (not thick and overpowering). The curly fries are good but needed ketchup and our server was nowhere to be found to get it for us. Overall good bbq.

Jalapeño cheese grits! Jalapeño cheese grits! Jalapeño cheese grits! Get them! Just trust me…read more I really like the brisket too.

BBQ and fishing...gotta love it!…read more I knew when I walked into Brazen Que I was going to like this place...inscribed on the wall was the phrase made famous by a great Pitmaster and friend...John Brotherton "Show up late...lose weight". At the cutting board I met Brock who made a great first impression for this business. Friendly, welcoming, and a solid cutter...he gave me a sample of the brisket and I was SOLD! I went with brisket, jalapeño sausage (note this is a mild version), turkey with Mac & Cheese and Mexican Street Corn as sides. The brisket is tender, moist, great bark, and solid flavor...this would give the BBQ joints in TX a run for their money! Loved the turkey and found out they use honey on it too; the combination of a peppery bark and the honey was a great match. This would be a treat of a bird for the holiday table. The sausage may lack kick BUT not flavor, nice texture, good cheddar and jalapeño flavors. The sides are solid, and you can't go wrong with either one. The Banana Pudding is deeeeelicious! I also got to meet Nick (owner and pitmaster) who had me try their bratwurst sausage...it is impressive. It can be difficult getting the sausage texture right and these were spot-on. Brock is their sausage chef and on the agenda for next month...think Southwestern egg roll flavors. Enjoyed talking BBQ with Nick and Brock...they are both very knowledgeable and passionate about their craft. While this may be a 90-minute hike for me, the food and staff make it well worth the drive. I'll be back in June to try some of Brock's newest sausage creation! P.S. There is a good size pond behind the restaurant (Dillon Pond) and I always have fishing gear in my SUV...so you can have a great meal AND wet a line!!!

Oh my, I really wanted this place to be good. We just moved to Albany a few months ago…read more I love great BBQ. Unfortunately for me, this wasn't close to great or even good. Personally, I've been smoking meat for over 40 years. I truly understand the work that goes into creating the perfect smoked masterpiece. I ordered a $50. Combo. The pulled pork was good. The chicken was super dry, it was overcooked. The potato salad and slaw were flavorless. Overall, I was overwhelmed with excitement for the opportunity to eat some great food and I was completely let down with the lack of flavor and appearance. I was underwhelmed to be quite honest with you all out there in YELPland. I was told there is much better BBQ out here in Kentucky and I plan on finding those BBQ landmarks. I honestly can't recommend Hunter's. For me personally, they pretty much let me down. I really wanted my neighborhood smokehouse to be stellar, but it just didn't work out.

Y'all, I'm calling it right now: this is the best barbecue in the entire United States. That smoked pork shoulder plate--tender, juicy meat, kissed with smoke for hours, edged with perfect bark, and paired with their peppery vinegar dip--had me closing my eyes with every bite like I was cheating on every other BBQ joint I've ever loved. The mayo slaw was creamy crack abd the baked beans tasted like they'd been simmering since last Thanksgiving. If you ever find yourself within 100 miles of Tompkinsville, you owe your soul a detour. My son and I both wanted to try the brisket so he got the platter and I chose the sandwich. I was told they make most of the sides that aren't fried options such as tater tots, which I was happy about. They had the classic barbecue sauce on the table as well as a spicy option. Both were equally delicious. My sandwich came on Texas toast, which is a fave. The portions were a great value as they do not skimp! The fried potatoes are made in house and they were delicious. Even though they don't make the onion rings in house they were also quite good. My one disappointment was, they don't make the majority of their desserts. And the menu states that their daughter-in-law Kayle makes different desserts daily and they didn't have that. They were actually out of several desserts, which was disappointing. Since the only ones they had were not ones made in house I chose to not get one. Since we live 3 1/2 hours away I guess I'll have to give it another shot for the dessert option next time around. Overall, the place was terrific and the folks were friendly. They have a salad bar in the middle of the floor, which is a nice touch. They have a very laid-back atmosphere and it is definitely family friendly. And you definitely get good size portions for the money.
