Daiso is a fun Japanese store that I knew everyone would enjoy, especially my niece! The store is so bright and cheerful! Inside | Pure cuteness! Home goods, stationery, including the cutest stickers & notebooks, cute face masks in colorful packaging, pretty hair clips/accessories, makeup, Japanese snacks & drinks... and so much more! They even had cute little plushies for animals! Fun! Fun Note | I first discovered Daiso shops during my travels throughout Japan, in particular, while shopping on Takeshita Street in Harajuku! I was visiting a friend and she & I would always stop in a number of Daiso shops whenever we spotted them, because they're simply fun! Overall | It's a fun and colorful store with a variety of goods from almost every category! We enjoyed looking around & I might even return to get some snacks and cute stickers for my planner when I have more time! While exploring the store, I received a notification that our table was ready at a restaurant across the street! I'll be back! read more

I love visiting Daiso across the globe. I was hoping for some exclusive Hawai'i items but there was only a small selection by the entrance end cap. Options were photo card holders, "blind box" stickers, and keychains. I bought a sticker set with a nice and helpful cashier. read more

Daiso never disappoints. Whatever you need they have a cute, adorable, version of what you'd wish for. I came here because I needed a adorable plushie and they have a wide varierty. But they even have adorable Asian accented kitchenware from plates, bowls, to chopsticks. This place never disappoints. It's fun to just peruse around here while you wait for a reservation in the plaza or market shopping just because. read more

This spot is located at the center of sawtelle. They have limited parking but also have underground parking per fee, meter, and lots near by. This Daiso looks small but it's a pretty decent size! They organized it well and have arts and crafts, kitchen supplies, home decor, plush, makeup, snacks, and more. I didn't encounter any workers as they have self check out. The base price for items is $2.25 and other items not that price are marked up. read more

Located in a smaller plaza on the first floor, close to where Kura Revolving Sushi is. My favorite place to browse as I wait to be called. They do have a smaller parking lot or meter parking around the area. This location is a bit smaller but still has everything that you need from stickers and notebooks to snacks. Daiso has the cutest items like a cat shaped potato peeler and cute gift wrap and bags. Organized, clean, with friendly staff with items that start from $1.50 and go up in pricing. So Daiso is the perfect definition of a convenience store. They have a tremendous selection. Anything you could think of under the sun, things you didn't know you need they have it. Every time I go I make sure to walk down every aisle just to see what they have and there's always something I spot where I was like. Wait I need that or I could use that. It's always perfect. The best part about Daiso is everything is affordable. I don't think I've ever spent more than $20 and I always get a shit ton of things. All the people who work there are really nice highly recommend checking out Daiso one of my favorite places. read more

One of my favorite Daiso's in the entire LA! Although it is one of the smallest Daiso's some of my favorite finds have been at this location! The workers are usually quite nice haven't any problems there just yet. Overall fun to stop by after having a meal in Sawtelle! read more

I have a serious problem with Daiso. They seem to have implanted a force field in all their locations that you can't escape unless you go inside and buy some kawaii goods. Then, next thing you know you have a full blown addiction to this $1.50+ Japanese paradise. Take my moneyyyyy! This trip I got more of my Daiso holy grails- LA Colors nail polish and sheer socks... I can't stop buying them! The socks can be worn with heels or tennis shoes and add such a cute little touch to any outfit. Don't dry them tho as they are very delicate and will shrink or rip. The LA Colors polish comes in so many gorgeous colors (I have like 10 right now lol) but especially love the ones with a bit of sparkle/glitter. Goes on smooth and I use an Essie gel top coat to seal it. This location is on the smaller size but still has a great selection. There is a parking lot on site and no apple pay so remember your card ;) read more

I love, love, love, love it here!!!!! The shelves are always neat and organized. The employees are always doing something, as in doing their job, and are very friendly when asked for help. There is a ton of cool stuff you never knew you needed and stuff you don't need but you will buy anyways because, why not. Impossible! Inconceivable! That one tiny-ish little store can be jam-packed with so many cool, useful and interesting things, is pretty mind-blowing. And the fact that it's all there, so amazingly well-organized, neat, clean and accessible, makes shopping here pure magic. Wifey & I were just killing time. We happened upon this place and easily killed an hour. It's like a Consumer Museum of Useful Stuff. All for sale, lol. Obsessed. A store full of cute and useful items for mostly just $1.50?! Amazing! This particular location is in an outdoor shopping center with slightly hectic shopping. There's a fairly large underground parking lot which is the way I always go unless I see a spot just open up upstairs. But parking is quite limited on the main level. During the pandemic, there is often a line for Daiso, but it's open until 10pm. I've found if you go after 830pm, you won't have a line. My favorite thing I've ever bought are adorable Mickey Mouse sponges. They are so cute and I can only imagine they'd cost at least 5x at much through Disney directly. I love all the Disney and Sanrio items! It's a great spot for stationary that's adorable, kitchen items, snacks and just random cool & cute stuff. Everything is clean and organized, staff is great - I love Daiso~!!!! read more

I made a brief stop at this Daiso Japan location yesterday. I saw some nice items for sale. I like that they carry brush pens.

I am a sucker for sticker packs and Daiso has a great selection of stickers and stationary at great prices ($1.25-2.25 per pack)! They also have unique snacks (like limited edition Doritos). Staff is nice. I noticed an overcharge on my receipt and they were quick to fix it when I asked. Parking lot makes it easy to get here. Great prices! read more

Yesterday, I treated myself to a Kura Revolving Sushi lunch... my favorite sushi experience and I sat at the counter for the first time and it was such fun chatting with strangers sitting next to me... However, this review is about this delightful store that is such fun to walk the aisles and look at so many cool and ridiculously reasonably priced every thing you could imagine fun things to buy. Today I bought facial masks for $1.75 apiece. I have never bought this sort of "mask" in my life and never ever tried one... I bought 4 collagen packages. Well, this morning I tried it.. Guess what? It was a fun and enjoyable experience and I definitely see a difference in my skin... Wow! Definitely going to stock up extra soon! This place puts a smile on my face and I recommend it to humans of all ages! Something for everyone! And I am quite serious about having fun!!! And this shopping center has so many options in one place!!! Beard Papa's for dessert, a wonderful Japanese supermarket, Kura Sushi and Daiso ... I think any or all these places will make an afternoon memorable experience... There is plenty of parking and even spaces below the center... Woot! This place is fun. We love going here for cheap versions of household essentials- soap holders, pan racks, kitchen organizers, dish scrub racks, toilet cleaner holders, food trays, and when you're on budget trying to outfit a new home, this store is the dream place! We also love coming here for art nights because you can find origami and fun kid art kits for cheap. As you probably already know, this is Japanese chain store version of 99c but better- the quality is always more satisfying and longlasting in our opinion. read more

This place is really cute and has a lot of nifty things but it's really crowded and parking is terrible. You would be better off looking for street parking. Sawtelle plaza is super cramped with a grocery store and a bunch of restaurants but there is an underground garage. The store is well lit and pretty but crowded. You'll bump into people and the aisles are very narrow. There's always people in every aisle it seems. They have a lot of paper goods, cute kitchen accessories, utensils, and food. It's super cute but I don't really like to go there because it's so crowded. The prices are reasonable though and if you're a college student it's a good place to pick up some plates and kitchen essentials. They also have household decorations and makeup. read more

Haven't shopped here in a while. Now they have a bigger selection of occasion and blank cards, gift bags of all sizes, sports toys and super cute SUSHI keychains. They charge 20 cents for brown paper bags with a pink Daiso logo, too. It's the same clean, organized, bright but warmly lit store with nice employees. This Daiso store is located inside a small shopping center in Sawtelle (a.k.a. Little Osaka). I've been to many Daiso locations but this one is one of the best in the US. First and foremost, this location has by far the largest selection of merchandize among all the Daiso locations I've been to. They are a bit light on food items, however. The merchandize are well stocked and well organized. For a Daiso store in the US, this is probably as good as it can get. Daiso Japan is the Japanese version of the 99 cent store. Every item they sell cost $1.50. Although their items might not be top quality, they do sell some interesting stuff. I like visiting from time to time to check out their new items. This location is the first Daiso Japan I have ever visited. It is kind of small but it is very busy. read more

The young white lady qho was there monday around 5:00 pm was very rude, she didnt even say a word when i got to the counter with my things, she just grabbed them n started ringing them up, one of the items didnt have price she just look at me n said, This one doesnt have a price. i said what do u want me to do. What a cute, fun store! Daiso Japan is a Japanese take on the discount store. Here, you can find both affordable and useful items (e.g., cooking equipment) as well as fun novelty items (e.g., funny socks). All items are at or below what you would pay at a traditional market or store and the quality is impressive, especially for what you pay. Note: This location is in the heavily trafficked Sawtelle district. Parking is difficult to find, especially at night and on the weekends. COVID Update: The store is currently limiting the number of people allowed into the store. This has caused a line to form outside the store during busier times. Everyone is required to wear a mask and staff were wearing gloves when I visited. Please note, this store is small and the aisles are tiny. It's difficult to exercise 6 feet of physical distancing at all times while shopping due to the store's size and tight layout. If that worries you, I recommend waiting until restrictions are lifted before visiting. read more

One of those magical places you walk in not knowing you're going to need all this stuff, but somehow you do. Everything is $1.50 and a few things are more, like $8.00 dress shirts and $4.00 plastic storage containers. I bought underwear there. Yes underwear. For $1.50. I don't have to wash my underwear ever again. Just be a capitalist pig and buy new ones. I always go in looking for one thing and come out with 500 things. It's perfect if you just moved in somewhere and have nothing and don't mind having most of your things be plastic. Waaaayyy better than the 99 cent store. Right now I'm ignoring the fact that everything is probably made by child slaves. It's kinda like Japanese Wal-Mart. And everything is pastel pink. They have arm sleeves. And finger gloves. I love Daiso. It's so shiny and bright in the stores. I am like a cat and each product is a new shiny thing that catches my eye. The first Daiso I ever went to was the one in Koreatown and ever since then I have been hooked. This Daiso is one of the newer ones and it is smaller than any of the other Daiso that I have been to, so there is not a lot of products. Everything in Daiso is $1.50 unless otherwise stated (unlike the 99 cent store, most things are actually $1.50). The following are the items that I have bought here on a regular basis: 1. Hair bands - super cute but it breaks easily 2. Nail polish - some of them are too watery so make sure you buy the ones that are more thicker 3. Travel size containers - works great and have had no problems 4. Makeup - this is a hit and miss. I found some great products (eye pencils) and not so great items (foundation, etc) 5. General household items - this is also hit and miss. I like the trash can I bought here but the some of the other items broke easily This place is definitely a "what you pay for is what you get". However, it's a fun store and you can sometimes find hidden gems. Definitely recommend everyone stop by and check it out. I docked this location 2 stars because the location is smaller so it has less items (as mentioned above) and the parking. The parking is the same plaza as Curry House and it is horrendous. I have never come here just to come to Daiso. Usually, I will be having dinner in the area then I will stop by. But, this location is still worth checking out if you want an after dinner stroll. read more

It really is a great go to for any random little thing you might need for your daily life. While full of inventory, it doesn't feel cramped which is greatly appreciated. Parking is very limited (as are all businesses in the area) so keep that in mind. They also charge 20 cents for a paper bag so if you don't want to pay for that, be sure to either bring your own bag or only buy enough to fit in your pockets/hands. read more
