It's always fun going shopping and seeing all the new seasonal items that they rotate in. It can get quite busy during peak times and during holidays, especially Christmas time. From cute mugs, seasonal decorations, lighting, towels, to artwork they have everything you'd need in a home. Great place to get items for your place or to find a fun gift for someone at good prices. This HomeGoods is in a shopping center with Marshalls and Michaels, so it's a fun stop to hit all three! Busy at almost any time of day but the staff are doing their best to get through the line. I LOVE THIS HOMEGOODS... but Yesterday I bought some sheets- and they had the worst smell, I have ever smelt in my life, apparently it's "formaldehyde". I ended up giving them a wash, hoping that the smell would disappear and it didnt, so today I tried and returned them with a receipt and original packaging and explained the situation. The manager at this store has been there for several years I think her name is "Elena" or "Helena"- she always has an attitude and is always extremely rude just by watching her when I visit the store and her interactions with other customers. She scolded me for washing them and said that she couldn't smell anything which is absolutely ridiculous. She said I was the FIRST PERSON EVER to return sheets at a HomeGoods for the smell. Even though it's all over Reddit as an issue. She said she'd do a "one time favor" but they can't be re-sold. They shouldn't have been sold to begin with without label stating they smell like chemicals. I brought her another sheets by the same brand and style so she could smell and she refused. Scolding a customer and then making me feel like I did the wrong thing by washing them to trying and get rid of the smell is insane when it literally says to do that on Google. One of my favorite stores ever. I can browse the aisles for hours if left unattended. I wish I could buy everything in the store. I have found some great deals here. Love when I spot some Mikasa kitchenware. Good place for different snacks too! It feels like they get stuff in everyday because there's always new goodies to find. The check out line moved slowly partly because they had few cashiers. The female cashier didn't ask if I wanted a bag, what should be a standard question. Fortunately I had the change since the cashier said it was too late to add the bag charge. And then she asked if I wanted my picture frames wrapped. Um, when one is 90% glass, yes! Other discount stores customarily paper wrap anything fragile. Maybe she was conscientious about saving paper? Maybe she was lazy? Anyways, this location is clean but frankly, they don't seem to have enough employees in relation to how many customers they get roaming through the shelves because it is often an absolute mess. I got really pissed off the other day because the spray mop/steamer/etc section was a pain in my *ss. Things were falling all over and off the the shelves because they hadn't been stacked properly in the first place. *I* had to restack and it's not my job. Yes, I used to be in retail. Tried to find more of the products I liked from another store and the customer service help was so challenging even talking to the manager. There was no want to communicate and show them the pics of exactly what I got at their other store and they said I would have to go to all the stores in LA vs being able to check it for me. I enjoy shopping at this Home Goods location because the store really has a variety of home goods to choose from. There is a large selection of Living room, Kitchen, Bathroom, Dining room and Office decor. They also have items for the garden and children's toys. The shelves can be a bit cluttered but overall the items are easy to find and affordable. This store has very unique items so if you're looking for something to spruce up your home that not many other people will have this would be a great store to check out. They also have some furniture selections, both indoor and outdoor at a very reasonable price. There is a large selection of area rugs, many that can take up the circumference of a pretty decent sized room. You will find them hanging from the ceiling in the back. The rug prices are also reasonable compared to other places. I love the bathroom section because of the variety of items and colors to choose from. I came here with my partner for a toy train and looked around the store. Went to an employee in the mirror section today (older woman) and asked if we just didn't see them. She pointed to the toy section and said "you have to find it yourself. You know, look with your eyes". It's the Holidays, I've worked in retail and you get the same stupid question all day but the attitude was unacceptable. I've seen tidier stocking at a flea market and the employees here look worked to death. Maybe those two thing correlate, but home goods check on that elderly lady stocking because she needs an attitude readjustment. read more

As Homegoods locations go, this one is pretty subpar. They have fewer broken things than some locations, but that's probably the only thing they have going for them. This one is a bit on the smaller side and there's only one checkout when they really need two. The lines are always extra long, even by Homegoods standards. The employees at this particular location are kind of mean and grumpy for some reason (maybe it's not a great place to work?). Because it's smaller, they have less selection, but the stuff they have doesn't seem to be as good either. (Unless you're looking for pillows, they have a lot of those for some reason.) The parking in this entire complex is terrible. The lot is really badly arranged and there's always a line of cars on the weekends. The top lot where Homegoods is is usually the most packed, but it takes forever to get up there. Prices are in line with all other Homegoods. If you like Homegoods because they're dog-friendly, more bad news about this particular location--they suddenly stopped allowing dogs and have gotten militant about it. (It's especially annoying at this location because not only do most other locations allow dogs, but both Michael's next door and Marshalls downstairs do too. So they're the only place that doesn't in the complex.) Last time I was there I saw an employee aggressively snapping at a woman just for walking in with her tiny dog in a bag. Since the policy had recently changed and there was no sign outside, I thought her reaction was pretty extreme. Just another reason this Homegoods is not as good as others. read more

I stopped by this HomeGoods and was saddened to see what seemed to be a manager being very condescending to an employee. The employee was shelving some holiday items and apparently put one in the wrong place. She got a long talking to about how to chocolate was arranged by country and "So where does THIS go?" When she answered incorrectly she was told "No" in a very condescending way. Later she said it looked like Italian chocolate and she was told, "Italy is in Europe, right?" The whole exchange left me feeling badly for the employee. Perhaps she has a history of making mistakes or something, but talk to her in private, not in front of the whole store. The cashier that rung me up also continued to push me to open a credit card several times after I said I didn't want to until I finally snapped at her that I just don't want to open a card. She was also continuously interacting with guests in a manner that seemed to make them uncomfortable and even told me I was "not nice" because I didn't open a card. I don't like writing negative reviews but my last visit here a week ago really got to me. I had a return and purchase that day with my receipt. The cashier did not greet me, no smile no friendliness out of this individual. She sees me with my hands full and asked me if I had a receipt and I replied yes. This place gets me in more trouble than going to target. You go in for one thing and you come out with a whole basket. The prices are great and I love the selection. Most of the employees were friendly and helpful, but one person always ruins it. This person was disinfecting the checkout area while wiping her nose with a tissue. Aside from making me wait like 3 minutes for no reason, she then didn't even use the sanitizer that was right in front of her! I didn't say anything, but then she was rude to me when I told her I bought something that needed to be picked up. She asked me what kind of product I bought, and I wasn't exactly sure of the brand. The other employee told me it would under my name. (Of course it was just sitting right by the front door with a big sticky that said jeremy.) However as she was walking away she said "if you open your eyes a little more maybe you would find it". At first I couldn't believe what I heard. First of all I am Asian and second of all I am a customer. My husband went to go confront the girl and her response was that she said what she said and will not take it back or deny that she said it. The manager at the time asked her to leave as we were talking to her cause she was being rude towards us and as she was walking away through a sign.
