Cute little boutique located at Universal City Walk. Store has a good variety of items that range from inexpensive, especially the clearance and sale price items, to being on the more expensive side. While we were here they had some really good sales on the jewelry. Several items that qualified for buy one get one 30% off. In addition to that they had an area just past the register (towards the back wall) that had a lot of clearance jewelry that was an even better value. As far as the clothes went, nothing really caught my wife's eye, but she did find a few pieces of jewelry that she liked. The store clerk was friendly and helpful and even asked if we wanted another item when we weren't taking advantage of the but one get one 30% promotion that they were running. I can see why some people are unhappy with this store. I just shopped here today and I wasn't thrilled myself, especially that last few times I had nice experiences here. Customer services can be very good or really poor like it was today! I was never greeted, I looked around the store and picked up a few items to try and had a question regarding a price. I went to the register and there were 2 people working helping one customer. They did everything they could to pretend I didn't exist, made an art out of it. I stood for a while and then got tired of it and went and tried things on. The whole time I was trying things on, they were helping the same person! Maybe a friend? I finally went to Amethyst (nice name, not such a nice person) and asked about some items on sale. Then another person came in and she couldn't wait to help that girl? Did I have egg on myself or something? I finally spoke out and said I was ready to check out. I actually found a cute skirt on sale. She took the money and was pretty rude. The whole time I was in the store I felt like Glenn Close's character in "Fatal Attraction" - "I don't like to be ignored, Dan!". Nice clothes, great deals and fun gift ideas for the holidays, but me and Francesca's need to see other people. I get that it's all about who's working in there. I didn't feel so ignored in a while! I went in Francesca's on 3/12 looking for a lavender dress. The employees were so cheerful and excited! They immediately started pulling some amazing pieces for me and even added a beautiful necklace (which I bought) and heels in the dressing room. I was stunned at how quick they were. This store is in Universal Citywalk. The employees in the stores are all friendly and helpful. I got two pairs of earrings for only $15 dollar when they are on sale. Overall, the store has great organization and clean. Prize is reasonable and deals are great when it's on sale. Various selections on jewelry and there is also female clothing. I enjoy shopping there. It's great to spend a few hours since you will also need to pay parking going in the universal citywalk. Plus, there are lots of restaurants and stores in the area. read more

I checked out this place when I was at Universal Studios City Walk. It was quite quaint and really interesting. There was some clothing scattered around the small shop, in the sort of "pay a lot to look this cheap" sort of aspect, (think American Apparel,) but it was cute. Anyway, I was paying attention to the cool novelty items they had around - little French-styled books, stationery, card packs, magnets, jewelry, useless "first world problems" tools, humorous books, pins, and a lot of other things that kept me and my friend amused when we were window shopping. Customer service was pretty good. I wanted to know what was inside the cards, so she actually opened them up for me for them to be displays. (She was probably curious about it too.) Definitely worth checking out if you're ever in the City Walk. read more

I'm a lover of Francesca's and I often visit this location since I'm a pass holder but today I experienced terrible service. I walked in today Aug. 26 about 5:10pm, no greeting and I felt like I was being judged on my appearance. Again I'm an annual pass holder so I come comfy to the park. Today the girls working seem to judge you on the way you look. I Proceeded to ask the girl at the register what time they closed. She shared 10pm, I asked if I could put an item on hold because I was returning to the park and didn't want to carry it with me. She proceeded to say that I could just prepay it and then they can hold it. I said, well I'm here with my family and I really want this shirt but I want to make sure I do come back on time for it. The girl took the item and immediately she gave off vibes of being annoyed and bothered. When I turned around she looked at her co worker and they shrugged their shoulders and again rolled their eyes seeming annoyed. Little did they know my was in the store too and saw their actions. They are a terrible representation of this company. I don't think I'll be returning here but remain to visit my local Francesca's in Temecula where they are kind, helpful and personable. And no I will not be returning for that shirt I initially wanted after my mother shared that with me. I'd recommend giving these ladies some tips on customer service and importance on customer experience. read more

I'm in love with these cute little stores that have clothing, accessories, and home décor. I was touring Citywalk and noticed there was a Francesca's store here. It's tiny but there is a lot of stuff inside. I really liked that it was organized, and the items were correctly placed in order. I didn't catch her name but the lady who greeted me was nice and friendly. She asked me how my day was going and told me about the day's deals. Overall, it's a cute store to browse and treat yourself to a nice little gift. read more

UPDATE 05/01/2018 I gave this store an extra 2 stars because 1) Mandi Kohler, the District Team Leader reached out to me and wanted to discuss the matter more. 2) Rebecca, the assistant manager at this particular location, sent me a message and apologized for the rude behaviors of those employees and also informed me that she was not working that night. I assume the experience would've been better had she been. At least this shows they care about customer service, so thumbs up to you both. HOWEVER. Don't like the fact that someone from that store thought that my girlfriend's and I's reviews were "funny", and voted so. We're not dumb. That's childish, "Evan". This place literally saved my life!!! I was attending a black tie, Oscar event at the Globe Theater at Universal Studios and as unpredictable as SoCal weather is, I didn't bother to bring a shawl or jacket- nada!! So, my friend and I walked CitiWalk for a bit and stumbled across this store... I would call it a mix of Anthropologie meets Urban Outfitters... and, bamm- sure enough, they had 1 shawl that was dressy enough for my red carpet gala. I love the brand, its very much my style. The customer service was so-so, because the two ladies was talking and I wish the conversation was less personal. Cloths feel quality I loved the dress that I bought and the price point was decent. They have some fun and unique accessories that feels looks good quality. If your nearby drop in and take a look. My name is Rita Limar. Although this letter most certainly includes a complaint, please understand that the actual purpose of this letter is to make you aware that your associate's practices are contributing to a much larger problem. This problem has so permeated our society that the victims simply consider it an unfortunate societal norm. Understandably, one may read this letter and attribute it to the complaints of a person who is overly sensitive about racial issues and therefore finds cause to complain at any given moment, however, this is not the case. I am not litigious nor am I a complainer, I simply saw a problem and would like it corrected. On Saturday March 18th 2017 at approximately 8:30PM I, with my mother, visited Francesca's in Hollywood at Universal City Walk. As it was Saturday night, my mother and I decided it would be fun to visit the various shops at City Walk and have dessert. Our intentions were innocent. Upon passing Francesca's I remembered that I had a positive experience a few years ago at the Glendale Galleria location. I encouraged my mother to go into the store with me and look around. Please note, my mother, having more experience than me, knew that having her sweater on in the store would raise suspicion as to her intentions in the store, so she took it off before entering. Approximately 5 minutes into us being in the store an associate, whose name I am not certain of, approached my mother and I and politely asked if we were looking for anything specific. I thought nothing of this question, especially because she asked another couple a few feet away from us the same question shortly after her engagement with us. I cannot recall how long my mother and I were in the store, but it most certainly could not have been any longer than 15 minutes. At around 8:40 we decided to leave the store. Near the entrance there is a sunglass display. Before leaving we stopped to look at the sunglasses. We had not been looking at the glasses very long when the next associate Cami approached us and asked for my name. I thought this odd, but still replied. After giving her my name she then said proceeded to tell me that the sunglasses were 2 for $20.00. I would have appreciated this information; however, the sign was visible to me as I was right in front of it. Even after I thanked her for telling me how much the glasses were, she still stood next to me, quietly, with her hands folded smiling. Realizing that she had no intention of moving on, I turned my head and asked if there was anything else she needed to tell me. She then began looking around for something to say to justify her still standing there watching me. She, thinking quickly, pointed to a rack of clothes next to both of us and quoted the price to me. My mother, realizing that we were being watched, quietly left the store because she was insulted. I however stayed, as I was flabbergasted that the associate Cami was blatantly refusing to give me space to shop unattended. I did not realize that my mother had gone until I looked up. I said to myself, "oh my mom left", to which Cami (who was still next to me), replied, "yeah, she just walked out". I then told Cami that my mother "probably left because she was insulted that you're standing her watching us as if we're doing something wrong". She seemed very surprised by this, but not surprised enough to walk away and give me room to shop unattended. I continued by saying that "I [was] also very insulted that I'm being treated as if I'm going to steal something." She then seemed to realize how her actions were being perceived. I too left the store. Please understand this letter is not a complaint only directed toward Cami. Her actions, I'm certain, reflect her training. My mother and I are black women who went into your store to do exactly what thousands of people do every day, browse. My mother had the presence of mind to take off her sweater because she didn't want to be perceived as a thief wearing bulky clothing. I dare say there's an entire race of people who have never had to consider that they may be perceived and pre-judged that way. This country is filled with people who do not have to take extra precautions so they are not viewed as shoplifters. This country is also filled with many races of people who do. Cami is not the problem. A company who allows their employs to believe they're doing the right thing by shadowing "high risk" customers is the problem. Those "high risk" customers are being pre-judged and in the case of my mother and I, incorrectly so. read more

I was excited when I stumbled upon a Francesca's at City Walk. However, upon entering, I did not receive good customer service. I was not welcomed nor was I taken into consideration when I was standing in line for a good eight minutes with only one small item until I was helped. There was one family in front of me who was returning some items. The cashier seemed to be new since she was having some difficulties. After a few minutes, the other woman working in the store helped her out. Even after making eye contact with me, no one seemed to care or acknowledge that I was standing there for a quote some time. In addition, there was another register that was not being used. It wasn't until my facial expression changed after having waited for so long and debating on even buying the item altogether that they noticed that I was not being helped. I love this store and will continue to shop here, yet I think that customer service is very important. Employees should be aware of their surroundings and be willing to lend a helping hand regardless the situation. A simple "I'll be right with you" or "Thank you for waiting! I will get to you soon" would be greatly appreciated for future references. Thank you! read more

Visiting family in So Cal for Thanksgiving, we decided to go to Universal Studios and after all the lines, everyone coughing around me, and the dip in temperature that night I felt like I was going to get sick. I was starting a new job when I returned home on Monday and knew I needed to go shopping before then, but feeling a bit run down I didn't think I was up for it. Then I passed Francesca's and said how cute the window display was. My boyfriend insisted we go in and even though I put up a small fight I went in and wanted to try on everything. I asked the sales associate if she could help put together the outfit that was in the window. Jovanna, was great and even accessorized everything she pulled down for me. I ended up leaving with a bunch of stuff! PS they have 50% off their boots right now! Scored some cute suede ankle zip up boots. The ladies working here were super nice, and it was really appreciated during a time when everyone is shopping and being super needed. Thanks girls!! read more
