This shop is always a must visit whenever we're at CityWalk. They are located right next to the stage, you can't miss it! Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They have a nice amount of comics, manga, shirts, and other fun merch. It's nice to see more funkos and pokemon figures popping up as well. They often do signings here too so be sure to follow their page if there's ever an artist or actor you're interested in! Sailor Moon is one of my favorite anime's and Things From Another World had a lot of Sailor Moon merchandise!! My husband and I were walking around Universal's City Walk on a Wednesday evening. While exploring, we found Things From Another World, right next to Toothsome's Chocolate Emporium! Do you like Comics, Anime, DCs, Marvel, Funko Pops? If so, you'll enjoy visiting this store! This store was packed with tons of Funko Pops and Comics. There was even a small section for Manga! You'll see some of the popular series like Dragon Ball Z. There was a lot of apparel too! We saw a few Naruto themed shirts on sale. Other themed shirts included Sonic, Chainsaw Man (Pochita!!), FNFA (Fight Nights at Freddys)! I was looking at a lot of their figurines. There were a few collectors editions of Marvel characters on display. In another section, you'll see a row dedicated to anime character figurines. There were a lot of Sailor Moon figurines, specifically of Usagi, Sailor Moon/Princess Serenity. There were also some Q Poskets for sale. I saw some Demon Slayer Kimetsu No Yaiba Tanjiro figurines! Things From Another World had a wide variety of backpacks too. One of the favorite ones I saw was the cat Luna from Sailor Moon. There were different sizes offered! You could easily spend an hour going through all of the merchandise offered at Things From Another World! They even had some cool doormats for sale! I saw D&D one that had "Roll for Initiative!" We were ripped off last night. Purchased a magic the gathering final fantasy deck for $75. Great. Purchased a Spider-Man booster pack for $50. I get home and realize the same one is being sold at all game stop stores for $8!!!!!!!! Stay away and go to a local shop in LA. Clearly they are ripping tourists off. The ultimate little big collector, comic, t-shirt, toy and entertainment shop with graphic novels, graphic tees and great service. The display cases house some rare items and replicas from creators, films and television and the layout of the store is perfect for navigating around though it can get congested during those rushes of attraction park patrons, movie goers and visitors. You can find some great deals on items such as posters, seasonal items, Funkos and even clothing. I haven't been lucky enough to catch any of the small events or Meet & Greets they host here/just outside of TFAW but I can tell you they're really fun and get crowd worthy as I'm usually going into or walking out of AMC on my way home at these times... which is really close by just before iFly. The only thing missing in here is an arcade machine or four!! I'd probably spend even more time and money O.O here if they did... So probably a good thing! Great place to grab a gift or item/something for a friend, family member, someone you're fond of or even yourself. Its been so long since my last visit to City Walk. So much that when I asked a friend if the comic shop was still there he said yes, but they moved location. This "new" location is in a much larger area which from the last time I remember was a Game Stop. I enjoyed talking a walk and window shopping, seeing all the nostalgic items I've used to see while checking out the new items. They still sell comics, toys and even more! Really surprised to see a TFAW when wandering around at Universal City Walk. Had to step in and see what kind of comic goodies they had. Really large selection of statues, that you won't find at just any comic store. Large selection of tshirts (obviously comic themed) and of course comics. Pretty much all of the comics on the floor were A and B covers that are typically the regular variants. At the front counter (check out area) they had the TFAW variant comics. They actually had some pretty cool ones that I hadn't seen before, but at a price point I wasn't really comfortable with trying to lug back to Bama undamaged. Also, extra cool points for having the ultra exclusive, rare BRZRKR #1 signed Keanu Reeves issue ($3k). They also have a website, so you can do shopping online and have stuff delivered (no fear of air line baggage fiascos. I would recommend this store if you're into comic type things. read more

The woman who checked us out was so nice to my son and knew her comics. My six year old picked a Batman Beyond comic out from the shelf and she made an immediate reference to Terry. My son loves the show from too much TV time during the pandemic, she was so sweet to him and put it in a plastic cover and complimented his choice. Definitely recommend as they had a lot of items and the prices were not nearly as gouging as the rest of City Walk & Universal. This USED to be a good comic book store but they have really gone downhill - they claim to accept returns but then look for reasons to not honor that claim; their stock is pretty abysmal; what they do have in stock is usually damaged; & the staff is pretty unhelpful. Hopefully the store can return to what it once was. In the meantime, there are better comic book stores in the area, so don't waste your time. read more

I made a trip here over the past weekend. It was fun to explore the store. I really enjoyed browsing through their comic book sections and admiring the character statues that were available for purchase. I ended up purchasing a Batman themed doormat. I love this place. They have a wall trying to keep up with the latest comic books that I can appreciate. Not sure how to explain but if I wanted the 10 latests comics of a series, probably couldn't get it but they still have the latest comics. Apologies if I didn't explain that well. There's a ton of collectibles so if you're looking for a gift or anything to decorate your house, solid options here. Shirts are a lil too nerdy for me but they seem to have been made of solid material. Customer service is great. They've always been helpful while I've been here. Whenever we're at CityWalk we always stop by Things From Another World to look around. They sell cool novelties like clothes, toys/collectibles, comics, statues, e.t.c... Not the biggest fan of the employees watching your every move. On the one hand, I get it as I can't count how many times people have accidentally knocked something down and broken something in the store. But on the other hand it's obnoxious that as soon as you enter employees run to where you are and do a terrible job of pretending not to stalk you! This little shop located @ City Walk is a cool little comic book/nerd shop. Definitely a must if you collect toys, comic books and all those cool gadgets. They have a bunch of Marvel and DC items here, but wait.... they also sell characters from video games and other cool Japanese animation characters, but most of all they also cater to the wizardry world of magic and all muggles are welcomed. Collectable items are really pricey and are put on display for all you nerd and geeks to enjoy. Towards the back wall when you enter, they sell T-Shirts with cool characters and logos. If you like all this stuff, you'll definitely get lost browsing around and you may even spend a fortune buying these useless amazing collectables. If I ever return, this place is definitely on my top 5 stores to visit @ City Walk. From the outside, it doesn't look like much, but it's a good sized store and the aisles are clear and it's really neat and clean inside. Went there late last year after a walk through Universal Studios. The whole family was able to find something unique from my youngest (4 year old) to even my wife. We spent far too much money here but don't take that as me complaining about prices. We just found many things we wanted from a Captain Marvel puzzle to a Captain America lunch box. I was lucky to find some Chrissie Zullo statues that I had been looking for at many other comic shops. I have been buying from their online store ever since. (this is for the Milwaukie, Oregon store) I've been in 3 or 4 times now, when it's dead (tuesday at 1030 am) and saturday's when it's slammed (3pm). Each time I didn't have to wait more than a couple minutes for help on something. People there are great, friendly, and knowledgable. Their selection on used comics is not a draw, unfortunately. New releases they have. Not sure about the negative reviews here, I'm extremely picky in my reviews and I like this place. It's much friendlier than GG (although doesn't have the selection that they do), however I think they're a large chain store. read more

I really love checking this place out whenever I get to go to Citywalk. I'm a fan of mystery boxes and packs of figurines from different movies, shows, etc. What is cool about this location is if you buy a mystery pack and don't like what you get, you can trade for the one that is displayed in their cases located next to the cash registers. So make sure to look inside the display cases before committing on getting one unless you want to test your luck or just good at feeling the mystery packs they have for the one you want. The store also sells comic books, apparel, board games, figurines and some other things related to things like Disney, Star Wars, Marvel, D.C. and more. Spending a couple of days in the area with my Universal Studios season pass, I was pleasantly surprised to find this gem at Citywalk. Walking into the large space, I was bombarded by aisles and aisles of toys, games, figurines and even some clothing. Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, some indie titles were represented. Tons of high end figures are displayed in various glass cases throughout the store. There was a very extensive selection of Funko toys, including several exclusive items. Out of everything, for a "comics" store, there was just a small selection of current comics on one wall. While they had more graphic novels and trade paperbacks in stock, not as many of the regular titles. I was told they had several more available online. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable, able to guide me to what I was looking for. read more

We stumbled upon this cool shop during a recent outing to Horror Nights at Universal Studios and I pretty much wanted to buy everything. I'm not a comic book collector, but I was impressed by the amount of horror themed merchandise they had. Everything from Beetlejuice, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and more were presented on t-shirts, lunchboxes, action figures and other awesome collectibles. It was one of the first places I saw the new horror themed Mr. Potato Heads and I vowed to come back and get them. Yes, things were a little on the pricey side, but I wouldn't expect anything less being a the City Walk. I didn't think they were too crazy as a shirt costed about $18.99 and the lunchboxes were about $12.99. The things that were on the high side were the super collectible action figures and other memorabilia... but again, it wasn't higher than your average comic book shop in the area. The problem with finding this place before heading into Universal was that I didn't want to carry everything around while in the park and the store was closed when we got out. It just means I need to make a trek up to the store during the week to buy all the geeky crap that I missed out on the first time around. A comic shop in the heart of the Universal City Walk. I wouldn't say it's a comic shop with a ton of back issues, but they have plenty of other product that it won't leave you feel unfulfilled. Staff is friendly and helpful and prices are pretty decent. If you're looking of toys they have plenty. I'm a huge comic nerd, so any any chance I have to enter one of these shops is great. They have the coolest things if you're a Super-Hero fan, horror fan, Harry Potter fan, and etc. They have a lot of great enamel pins (although I wish they would have a bigger selection), everything is at a reasonable price too. Whenever we need to kill some time before a movie at the nearby AMC, coming here is definitely an option. There are so many neat things to see and nostalgia quickly sets in. My boyfriend and I stopped by yesterday and we easily spent about 20 minutes just walking around and looking at all the cool products. When you walk in, an Iron Man replica in the Holiday spirit greets you whilst wearing a Santa hat Jeje ( I had to snap a pic). They have so many Star Wars products and are well-stocked with the latest Rogue One products as well. I also stumbled upon the coloring book section and they had so many to choose from.
