This was a great spot. A little out of the way but worth the drive. There's not many ice cream places around that have so many vegan options. And that too, ones that taste great. All for a reasonable price in my opinion.

Where do I even begin with this ice cream spot? The variety of soft serve flavors is incredible. I went with the vanilla and Superman mix, and it was delicious! You can never go wrong with Superman in Michigan. The prices are super reasonable for the quality and portion size. They even have a drive-through, which is really convenient. Just a heads-up, when I visited, the line was at least 15 cars deep, but honestly, it was totally worth the wait. I'll definitely be back.

This is a shout out to our favorite local ice cream place. The beauty about them is that they have a drive thru! They switch up the flavor of the week which helps with people who love variety. They have so many options and combinations of treats available. There is literally something for everyone!

Dairy Whip stays unmatched. Their scoops are ever bursting with flavor, their treats are always so delicious and they even have a pup cup for $1.85! (l be taking my golden doodle here soon!!) The staff is very attentive and willing to answer any questions you may have. They are always very helpful and polite. They know how big the menu is so they definitely give advice if needed! The walk up is right on a main road (Joy Rd.) and they have a free parking lot and street parking. It is handicap accessible and they do also offer a lot of vegan options so come one and come all!

I love this local ice cream parlor. When it's in full swing for the summer the line can easily be wrapped around the building and drive through line may look daunting, but the treats are definitely worth the wait. I love the Cookie Monster sundae with the little chocolate chip cookie in his mouth. This place is a gem.

Have passed by this spot for years and never tried it but the lines are always insane so I figured it must be good! Have so far went three times. First time had a turtle brownie sundae which was phenomenal and huge!! Came in a large cup but was a little pricey $9, but I def felt I got my moneys worth a. Second time j tried their super man soft serve which was amazing and tasted identical to the hard packed ice cream flavor. Last time I went and got the Faygo rock and rye soft serve on the last day they were servicing it, it was decent and tasted just like the pop but was a little to sweet for me. Dairy whip has new regular customer! My advice is to get there when they first open, which I did the first and last time. When I went to check out the super man soft serve it was super crowded, I went through the drive through line (a definite plus) and waited around 20 minutes to get served.

I like Dairy Whip because they offer a variety of flavors. If you can name it, they have it - literally. This month they're featuring a Mt. Dew soft serve. I always get the turtle brownie sundae, or the lemon soft serve (so nostalgic it reminds me of my childhood). A lot of times the line is really, really long. So be prepared to wait. The employees are friendly and they make the orders fast. You'll order at the first window and pick up at the window to the right. My only complaint is the ice cream melts instantly. Yesterday, my daughter got a chocolate cone with sprinkles, and it was melted by the time I received my sundae; to the point that it had fallen on the ground when she licked it.

Always friendly service and delicious ice cream. Can't wait for spring. Dairy Whip is our neighborhood ice cream place.

Treat Dreams is an ice cream lover's dream come true. They have the most creative rotating weekly…read moreflavors I've seen in metro Detroit. Their vegan ice cream is out of this world ever since they changed their base from rice milk to coconut and pea protein. It's so creamy and the best vegan ice cream I ever had. Follow Treat Dreams on social media where they post their updated weekly flavors. Occasionally they have bizarre flavors like Lobster Bisque, Lemon extra Virgin Olive Oil and Bacon. Lol. They are most famous for their Kookie Monster flavor...a nostalgic blue color that's favorite of both kids and adults. You can find their food truck at various events in the area, food truck rallies at the Royal Oak Farmers Market and Urbanrest Brewing Co. Treat Dreams now shares its space with 4 other food vendors in Ferndale's first food hall called Pavilion Street Market. They also sell their ice cream by the pint and i'm kicking myself I didn't get any during my last visit to enjoy at home.

I absolutely love their Kooky Monster flavor: blue vanilla ice cream with Oreos and cookie dough. The ultimate cookies & cream flavor! Not overly sweet and the sandwich version of this is amazing too (sandwiched between two soft chocolate chip cookies). I also tried the root beer flavor and it tasted like I was eating a delicious root beer float! And I've had the cherry marshmallow flavor which was great: it didn't taste artificial and the marshmallow was a nice touch. It's cool how they have all these unique flavors and I'd love to keep coming back to try more!
