I am giving this DQ 5 stars because it was a great experience. The lady taking my order was wonderful! Patient, explained and helped in a wonderful tone! She advised that it would be a little slow because the order would be made totally fresh at order time. Which is nice to hear at a fast food joint. The food was fresh and hot and tasted excellent. In line today 05/03/26 at 3:40 pm to purchase milk shakes. We were not acknowledged as we stopped to order. We waited and we questioned if anyone could hear us. A young man obviously heard us talking and responded asking us to wait, no explanation , no "I'm sorry." We waited another minute or so and again made a comment about the counter help not acknowledging. The young man then responded with "Did I stutter?" and "I said to wait!" Totally inexcusable customer service !!! Needless to say- No more Dairy Queen for us. read more

Me and my family were taking a road trip and we stopped by the closest Dairy Queen we could find off of the freeway. I tried out the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup blizzard and that will for sure forever be my favorite thing at Dairy Queen ever because it's so good 10/10 would for sure recommend. My husband and kids got their food. The burgers are spectacular and the french fries are super delicious that I can't even resist them cause of it taste/smell. We sat at the kiosk for over twenty minutes today waiting for them to take our order, they totally ignored that we were there. We had to call them at their website to even get their attention. the food was great but the service was terrible. What should I expect though they are mostly teenagers that are new and seem to have no idea what they are doing. I hope that they will try to tell the teenagers to pay closer attention to their customers. read more

These people cannot get an order right for anything. They over charge for everything, the change is wrong most of the time, and you do not get what you ordered. It is a sad place. Sometimes, on Sundays they seem understaffed. 3 staff on the window and only one for the front and no one coordinating, so the front line didn't really move until the drive through slowed down. The service should be seamless. Other that that on occasion, the service and food is good DQ! One improvement could be made to the Arctic Rush. They should mix the Arctic Rush drinks with the milkshake mixer to get the syrup all mixed in evenly. This is how it is done in many, but not all, DQs. It really makes a difference so you don't get spots of heavy syrup. read more

Not a happy Camper! Over the years I've had minor complaints about the Veneta DQ. However, recent years have left me wondering if I should continue to be a customer. My usual complaints range from not having what I ordered, the way I ordered it such as no cheese when I payed extra to add cheese togarlic bread that is actually just buttered toast with my chicken strips. General the service is decent but can take more time that it should while employees are just standing around. Tonight was a new one for me as I was turned away from ordering my food. I arrived at the DQ at 8:45 Pm and sat behind a line of vehicles until 9:02 PM. When my turn arrived to order the person came over the speaker and said "We are Closed". Now where I come from and my background in restuarant management, you simply do not turn away a paying customer. I explained that I had been sitting patiently in line for the last 15 minutes or so and expected to served. Again they said "we are closed"....The vehicle ahead of me had just ordered a considerable amount of items( I could her him) and had just pulled away from the speaker. Please tell me why they couldn't have taken my order as apparently they were still able to process the orders ahead of me? I want to offer some advice...Closing time is set within a specific parameter and it's all good and well if you can manage to close your doors at the exact time. You do not however turn away paying customers who obviously have been waiting prior to closing. Chalk it up to high school students running the show with unsatisfactory supervision on night shifts perhaps but please I still the importance of customer service...which apparently is rare these days which is a tragedy. I hope DQ's owner or management reads this review and considers what I've said and how my visit to their establishment went tonight. I went away hungry and angry... NO EXCUSE FOR BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Had to select a star rating in order to submit the review. I picked the lowest rating I was given but tonight you really deserved "NO STARS" DQ lost out on $40+and my future patronage!! read more

I am commenting here in hopes that these reviews are seen by the manager and will lead to a lesson of how to handle printed eGift cards. I received a DQ egift card by email that I printed (as instructed to do so). I rarely visit DQ, so this gift card was the sole reason I decided to drive thru on the way to the coast. The attendant barely looked at the instructions, which is clearly labeled "ATTN CASHIER" and just returned the paper saying they "weren't set up for these". Looks extremely simple on the printout, simply directing the employee to enter the egift card # instead of sliding a card. It wasn't worth holding up other customers behind our car so we paid out of pocket and I returned the gift card to my purse for another attempt in the future at another location. read more

The girl working was super nice and fast with getting everything out.... but my appetite was completely ruined when she brought out my banana split and it had 1-2 inches of chocolate water at the bottom....we came around 7 tonight and I think they close at 9 so I'm guessing they were doing all their closing stuff and had just washed the chocolate pump and didn't pump the water out first.... anyways, I know I should have said something but there is no way that they didn't see that when they did it (it's the first thing I noticed) so I figured if they cared they wouldn't have served it to me in the first place. Just ordered DQ's chicken strip basket. The chicken was hot but the fries were soggy and lukewarm. Still edible but really! I'm paying you guys to feed me, so give me something slightly yummy. I can say that everyone there is very helpful though. I had 3 separate people ask me if I'd been helped, after I'd already been helped. I didn't want want the bread that comes with the chicken so they gave me extra fries. All in all, I'd say this DQ is just trying to fit in with the fast food industry and not really acing it. An experience at this Dairy Queen is on par with getting kicked in the balls. We arrived at the drive though and sat at the menu board for over ten minutes with no acknowledgement at all. After yelling "hello" a few times I decided to call and let them know that the speaker wasn't working and they told me we had "missed the sensor" and that they would have someone take out order. By this time there was an enormous line behind us. I ordered a strawberry milkshake and pulled forward to the window to pay. My wife handed the girl the card and said hello, to which there was no response. The girl handed the card back and my wife said thank you, to which there was no response. The bratty little girl then opens the window to hand my wife the shakes and my wife once again said thank you, to which there was no response! She didn't say anything! So rude! We then pulled away and examined our pitiful milkshakes. Mine was essentially a vanilla milkshake that had a few drops of strawberry and was half-assed mixed so upon consuming it you never knew what flavor you might get. They also just left the old mixer lid on it and gave no whip cream, which is pictured. This is the second miserable experience that we've had at this place. Although I do eat here a few times a year, their food is mediocre at best and way too high-priced for the small portions served. I paid about $8 for a mushroom-swiss burger combo. When I got it home, I discovered a thing in my bag that was small, flat and pathetic and there were literally, 5 small chunks of mushroom on the thing and that was it. I called and made my thoughts known to the manager. She offered me a free desert which I declined. (I don't eat ice cream) A refund of a portion of what I paid would have been more appropriate. Pound for pound, I could have bought two and a half meals at any other drive-throughs. and probably three times as much at Taco-Bell for the same price. read more
