Admit you forgot, instead of calling people liars...

The burrito, That Blythe thinks we "stoll" from Taco Time in Veneta. She's calling it a "replacement burrito" I'm calling it, the burrito you forgot to put in the bag and then on to blame the customer for a stolen burrito. Dumb managers trying scrimp on money, at the cost of their customers. Blythe is the manager by the way. Very upstanding way to accept your mistake, and make it right for the customer. Rrust me, I have enough money for a burrito.... We don't need a free one. Just came back for what I paid for.

VEGAN'S BEWARE, stay away from the Veneta Oregon TacoTime!!!! Where to begin... After a long weekend working very hard I thought I would treat my vegan family to the taco time that was near our new home, big mistake. First off five items were screwed up, the prices are ridiculously high for what we got. I only took a few pictures Because this was so disappointing and depressing... veggie burritos which were nearly 6 dollars apiece didn't have the diced veg in them they had a couple tomatoes some lettuce some beans and they didn't even supply guacamole like they were supposed to I am so disappointed I will never eat there again! The soft tacos were gross and disgusting, they left off the lettuce, they didn't sub guacamole on any of the things... And when I brought back my son black bean side I was told that container with only literally two spoonfuls in the bottom of the container was the normal order. Literally 2 tablespoons of beans for two dollars folks, what's a vegan supposed to do? If this is a franchise, TacoTime should divorce them, none of the food looks like the website, the vegan salad that they have at the metropolitan taco times was NOT available, and general speaking I felt like they were hostile to vegans, just a pile of being squished it wasn't even warm thrown in paper bags... the vegetarian burrito with only some bean squish a little bit of lettuce and a few sunflower seeds in it, deplorable! I work hard for my money and I am so so disappointed. So disappointed this is the first negative review I've ever written. So I'm doing a very enthusiastic job... Chipotle from here on out, Taco Bell is better than this, my cats litter box is better than it's not that I know or I'm going to check... I just really felt like they were hostile to vegans none of this looked like the pictures on the menu and everything that was cool that I hope to get a taco time wasn't available there at all. Oh and don't get me started on the large order of vegan potatoes... It was a tiny cup half full yet again you suck Veneta, Oregon taco time you suck big time!!!!

    A behind the counter scene.

Going into the taco time in Veneta was very cool. Yes, I mean air conditioning, and thank you for it, it was hot outside! My impression was a comfortable atmosphere. They weren't busy customer-wise, but they were still all working. None of these kids were sitting around twiddling their thumbs, and that to me was impressive. The restaurant was clean--mopped, swept, and clean tables. The crew were all smiling and I even got a greeting as soon as I walked through the door. I was given another smile as I was given my food. I heard 'pleases' and 'thank you's' from the crew. These were courteous young adults that made a great impression on me and I thank them all for the great customer service and nice experience for my dinner. It may be fast food, but it was well worth it.

Terrible burrito. Waited 15 minutes to even order with no one ahead of me. The food was very bland with no flavor. Not worth a penny.

Ixtapa is a local Mexican restaurant that we have driven by countless times, tonight she suggested that we stopped by. As you walk in you are greeted by a very friendly staff, we had a large party and they were so accommodating with the size of our party, we were seated quickly and immediate another very friendly staff member took our drink orders and brought each table salsa and chips. Everyone that we encountered was very friendly, this provided a very welcoming atmosphere, very much what you would find in a local family run establishment. They have a very extensive menu, be prepared and take your time, so many choices. I only captured half of the pages in my photos, the menu is huge. We ordered the Chile Verde pork, with rice and beans, a huge portion of food, my father in-law loved it, we also ordered the Cheese Enchilada and Chile Relleno with rice and beans combo, again a hug portion my son cleared his plate, I ordered a combo as well, The Luis Special, huge portion of rice, beans, Carne Asada, Shrimp served with a spicy dipping oil and guacamole, I had most of it, to large of a plate for one serving, it was delicious and I highly recommend it. Over all a great local family run Mexican Restaurant. We were all very impressed and very full. More importantly my Mother in-law had a great time enjoying some time with her friends and family.

At noon then, I thought an adult coffee might be nice during the "enrichment" presentation. And so a vacation tradition was born. At Ixtapas, they have a nice list of adult coffees. This holiday season I decided to try all of them- not all at once. A girl's gotta have goals, right? I thought I'd share my results so far. Two weeks ago I tried the Cafe De Amor- 10/10- I'd order again. Last week, the Spanish coffee- a little sweet for me, nonetheless, a pleasant afternoon! Today, I tried the Ixtapa coffee- 10/10 and perfect if you are fighting off a cold- you feel it going down in not an unpleasant way. So far the Cafe De Amor is my favorite! I have 3 more to try. I do accompany it with a light lunch, and take leftovers home. I love their quesadillas- and their Guacamole. Fabulous flavors! So if you need a staycation cruise experience, consider an adult coffee and appetizer for lunch at Ixtapas!

Seeing Nuestro Sabor move into the old Chinese restaurant building was a welcome change for the neighborhood. They have truly revitalized the space at 203 Smith St, turning it into a vibrant spot that feels fresh and welcoming from the moment you walk through the door. Starting things off with the chips and salsa is an absolute must. While it is important to note that they cost $5.00 after the first serving, the quality makes it well worth the price. The chips are perfectly crisp, and the salsa has that authentic, homemade flavor that sets the tone for the rest of the meal. If you like a bit of a kick, you have to try their hot sauce. It is genuinely delicious and packed with a complex heat that enhances everything it touches. It isn't just about the spice; the flavor profile is deep and adds a perfect layer of zing to the entire dining experience. For my main course, I went with the chimichanga, and it did not disappoint. The exterior was fried to a perfect golden-brown crunch, while the inside remained incredibly flavorful and juicy. It's clear they take pride in the preparation of their signature dishes, as every bite was as good as the first. Of course, no Mexican meal is complete without the classics. The tacos were fresh and seasoned to perfection, capturing that traditional taste I always look for. Paired with their side of rice and beans, it was a hearty and deeply satisfying combination that felt like a true home-cooked meal. Mandi decided to try the loaded fries, and they were a total showstopper. They were piled high with toppings, creating a decadent and savory mix of textures. It's the kind of comfort food that you find yourself thinking about long after the meal is over. The service was another highlight of our visit. The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. It's clear they care about their customers and want to ensure everyone has an amazing 5-star experience. The atmosphere is just right for a casual lunch or a fun dinner out. Even though the building has a history as a different style of restaurant, the team at Nuestro Sabor has made it entirely their own. It feels bright, clean, and full of energy. Overall, the food here is simply delicious. From the perfectly seasoned meats to the fresh sides, every element of our order felt high-quality and carefully prepared. It is wonderful to have such a reliable and tasty option for Mexican cuisine in the area. I highly recommend stopping by and giving them a try if you haven't already. Whether you're coming for a full spread of tacos and chimis or just want to dive into those loaded fries, you're in for a treat. This is definitely our new go-to spot!

Aztlan has the best Mexican food on the Oregon coast!…read more From Google AI: "Aztlán is the mythical ancestral home of the Aztec (Mexica) peoples" Aztlan (the restaurant) delivers delicious and authentic Mexican food in an unassuming and caring, family friendly environment. "Home" in other words: The restaurant is family owned and operated and has earned an outstanding reputation over the years for offering delicious meals and fostering a sense of community and belonging. The moment that my party entered the restaurant and were greeted by Elvia, I felt welcome and very much like part of the family (although one who wasn't expected to do their own dishes)! LOL Unlike some Mexican restaurants, the ambiance as well as the lighting is bright and cheery. Aztlan has nothing to hide, and you can actually read the menu! (This is always a plus). On display are many antiques (or perhaps artifacts) that add to the ambiance and authenticity of the restaurant. The food was absolutely fantastic. On my last night in town (which was my third meal at Aztlan), I ordered a "ToGo" for dinner the following night. Even after 400+ miles in an ice chest, the last dinner was delicious. The menu at Aztlan is extensive. But if by chance, the menu should not list the exact item or combination you want, I suggest you ask. I did, and I was not disappointed. Please visit Aztlan if you are anywhere near Reedsport Oregon. The family takes great pride in serving both their old and new friends with wonderful food. Aztlan presents wonderful authentic atmosphere, and even better, great food. I will come back as often as I possibly can.
