I'm regularly in this area for dog agility competitions, often in the middle of summer. I thought…read moreI'd try to find somewhere to get a legendary Latrobe banana split, as this is where they were created. But when I looked up ice cream places in the area on Yelp, I saw a picture of a wildly large cone from here and this had to be the place. It turns out it was only a mile or two from where I was, and I can't believe I haven't found it sooner! I pulled in promptly when they were opening at 11:30 and the server was helpful and fast. I asked if that enormous cone was a size large and she said yes, so I ordered that in the rotating twist flavors of coconut and blueberry and also got a baby cup of vanilla soft serve for my dog, which for a baby cup was enormous. Together they were under $5. So fair! We went to sit in a nice covered patio area. There's a lot of outdoor seating space! While we were sitting, the place started to get busy with people coming for lunch as well as ice cream. They were ordering things like burgers and quesadillas from what looked like nice grill menu. At the prices here, I'm not surprised that I saw a couple of large families come to eat. I mentioned this to a friend who lives in the area and she never realized they have food. Maybe they don't publicize that on their socials enough and they should, everything very good. My ice cream was creamy and delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here. This will probably become a go-to stop for me on this frequent trip !

This food truck was a light blue color with two workers and served cinnamon rolls, pretzels and hot chocolate. My wife and I ended up ordering a pretzel with cheese and then a cinnamon bun for ourselves as well as another one which I ended up giving my mom for Mother's Day. The pretzel itself was $8 but it was one of those massive ones that you see at stadiums and came with a small side of cheese sauce. It ended up being nicely cooked and the outside of it had good texture while the inside was nice and soft. The outside of it did not have too much salt and both my wife and I enjoyed dipping it into the cheese sauce. Our cinnamon bun was similarly good as we enjoyed the pecan topping as well and the frosting and cinnamon flavor to it. The bun itself had a nice and soft consistency to it which made eating it quite nice. My mom also said she enjoyed the cinnamon bun which was nice to hear! The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. Clearly this food truck isn't going to provide you with a full meal, but it certainly does have some fun stuff to snack on.

Three stars because it is very hit or miss. There are times that it is a five star experience with…read moreamazing, quick service and hot, crispy food. There are also times where the wait is unbearably long, staff is inattentive (sometimes even rude) and orders are wrong. That being said, this is the kind of place that I don't go often, but every now and then I crave their hush puppies and fish or chicken. Because whatever batter they use is magical. Friends and I have joked that they should sell the pieces that fall off the fried items as a side because everyone seems to love the crispy batter pieces so much. When the food is cooked fresh, it is delicious! A perfect crisp and packed with flavor. But if you have the unfortunate experience of something that has been out for awhile, you likely get a soggy mess. Their prices are comparable to other fast food in the area and they often have weekly or monthly specials on certain combinations or food items, so definitely check on that. Oh - their drive through area is definitely not the most well maintained. It had a lot of pot holes, so just be aware if you are getting food that way. All that being said, when I have had any issues with food, management was generally apologetic and did what they could to make it right. Not an all the time spot for me, but someplace to enjoy when the craving hits.

It was to order the captain's platter, off of their secret menu. But of course nobody knew what I was talking about.. It was to order all of their fried meats off of the menu. I did however peace and order together and cover it.. my bill being about $22.00 . I was with a group of people so I was very interested to see how long it was for them to put it together . All of our orders came out at the same time nothing was burnt or overcooked. Everything a good flavor for what you expect at Long Johns Silvers. I ordered corn as a side that itself is very nasty. I don't recommend that. Now for service, it was friendly and accurate. The bathroom however was heavily dated and a little gross lacking paper towels, and overall cleanliness. Has an over experience I would come back here. I would probably order the same thing again for the most part..

We decided to try the "new" place and are glad we did. The place doesn't have a sign, but just look for the giant ice cream cone on the front of the building. It's a cute little retro ice cream place with some tables on the side. I like the curved bench in the front where you can sit and wait for your order. Everything we had was perfectly cooked and was fantastic. Fried pickles with dipping sauce - perfect. Fried raviolis sprinkled w/ shaved cheese coupled with a marinara-type sauce - perfect. I had a foot-long with pickles, peppers, and onions - perfect. I actually forgot to put mustard on top, so I took the leftover fried pickle dipping sauce and put it on the dog - think I might be on to something there. We also got the loaded fries - but we were full, so we took those home and put them under the broiler later that day. After dinner, you just gotta have dessert. We had milkshakes and I had an oatmeal cookie craving one. Sounds too "breakfasty", right? But it was so flippin' good. And the wide-mouth straws they give you? Much needed when you're trying to suck bits of oatmeal through the straw. The blue Oreo and white chocolate raspberry are also very good. As for the customer service, kudos to everyone behind the counter wearing masks. The girls were friendly and quick with the milkshakes. The food took a little long to come out but it was worth the wait. Prices - super reasonable. Would we go back? You bet your sweet bippy we would,...and we will. Maybe even tonight.
