The cupcakes looked beautiful, tasted delicious and were perfectly baked. Definitely worth a splurge if you are at Seven Springs.

It's a institution that has been around longer then I have, with regular customers who have patronized the place since its inception. The old building once was a carpet store, and a couple bought it and turned what its now Candyland and Farmer's Market. The store is a wonder being split down the middle, one side is devoted to fresh fruits and vegetables, while the other is candy (in monstrous amounts) devided up to be sold by the mixed bag pound, and there are about 100 different other candies besides, so if you can't find it, it may not exist. The are cheeses that are some of the best I have ever had and great prices for block cheese. The people who work there are as awesome as the place is itself. Ask them about anything in store they will pretty much know it inside and out. If not, they will go out of their way to help you. Come here, pure and simple. It's a great place where people from all over world have come and shopped here. I couldn't believe in the time I had worked there, that people no matter the race or religion could bond over candy. Michael Phelps even shopped here and as well as the PR guy for the Ravens all in one summer. You won't regret spending money here and even though I now work somewhere else I come here often, to get a taste of home.

The other half is a small grocery store with the basics including some produce, but not a whole lot of selection. It's adequate. There are two registers. The cashier was efficient but not too friendly. Worth stopping in at least to check it out.

Employees immediately greeted us and made friendly conversation. The candy section was stocked with many types of candies--chewy and hard, sour and sweet, nostalgic and modern, and more. The ice creams included several flavors from each Hershey's and Penn State Creamery. The menus listed many toppings (e.g., butterscotch, hot fudge, pineapple, marshmallow, Oreos, and gummy worms). The ice creams could be put inside cones or cups or made into sundaes, shakes, and floats. I also noticed Italian ice on the menu. My husband and I are graduates of Penn State, so I ate three flavors of the Penn State ice creams. My husband opted to buy Moon Pie from the candy section. Everything tasted very good. My four extended family members ate two ice-cream cones in the flavors of cookies 'n cream and tie dye and one Allegheny River sundae that contained vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, crushed Oreos, gummy worms, sprinkles, and a cherry. They also went on a shopping spree in the candy section and bought a bag full of various candies. They enjoyed their treats and had fun. One recommendation that I have is to offer a different Dubai chocolate bar. The ones that we bought did not compare to the Dubai chocolate that I previously purchased elsewhere.
