This DQ is quaint and always worth the stop for me! Admittedly, the parking can be tricky if the drive thru line is long as it sits right on the Pike and cars speed by quickly; sometimes the drive thru line can jut out into traffic. But, my favorite way to access it is to walk on the nice Woodlawn-Wyoming hike/bike trail that runs behind the store! This DQ is small and has old historic neon sign age. The only seating is outdoors and it can get crowded, but that's part of the neighborhood feel. There is even a cute mural depicting all of the local schools in unity alongside the building. Whenever we've attended,the staff (usually high school kids) are helpful, friendly, and do a good job. The menu is more limited than some DQs- but they have a few food items, and our course all your ice cream offerings including a freezer with ice cream cakes and dilly bars. I typically get a small cone with sprinkles- or a mini blizzard- and both are consistently executed well. They always turn the blizzard upside down too! I have been craving Dairy Queen for months now and this is like one of two locations in the Cincinnati area (both more than a quick drive from my house). This location is cool because it's just a walk up and drive thru. I went drive thru with a friend because we were on our way somewhere else. The speaker for the drive thru is a little quiet, so I appreciated that at the window they repeated to confirm our order. All three of our blizzards had a nice little excess on the top. This is my favorite Dairy Queen location in Cincinnati because of the old style, park-and-walk-up-to-the-window factor. It's what you might call vintage. The woman inside is tiny and old (but sweet and competent) which adds to the experience IMO. When you drive up to this one, it almost feels like you're in the past. It has a very old americana feel to it, with the older style seating areas and signs. It's not in the most secluded area, it's right on the main road. I got the M&M blizzard. (Remember you get a free small blizzard if you download the app). The blizzard was as good as usual. I think I frequent this DQ more than any other. I absolutely love the little old lady who runs this place. She is sweet and wonderful like a Dairy Queen treat. I'm pretty sure the lines in the parking lot are not parallel, which makes things interesting when this place is busy, which doesn't seem to be very often. The best part of this DQ is a very convenient walk up window or drive thru option. It is on par with other DQ stops- a little nostalgia for the way back whens, a touch of "this must be your first job, kiddo," and a healthy dose of yaaaaas that tastes just like I remember! The service is solid, if young, but they are training them well at this location. It is a popular spot for sure and they manage to churn out the orders at a pretty quick pace. During the pandemic times, I have seen all of the employees wearing masks. It gets a little dicey when you are ordering at the walk up window-the general public is less inclined to follow the "Stand Here" circles and masks seem to be few and far between. So even though it is faster, you may want to wait in the drive thru line to avoid the gaggle of possibly diseased teenagers who are more unconsciously thoughtless than purposefully invasive. This is not the most special dairy queen in the city, but they do do some inventive things. Like just at the end of the season, these past two weeks, they had the only sale on everything. Everything was 50% off to sell the rest of the ice cream that they had since this is a dairy queen without an outside. Okay, this is the slowest dairy queen I've ever seen. Maybe I haven't been around enough but I always wondered why there was a long line, then I stopped there and now I know. They have ice cream and they serve hot dogs. The food is normal dairy queen fare at a reduced rate of speed. read more

I love the old fashion setting. There is a great selection and the foos ice cream and food is always on point. The service is excellent, despite the fact in the spring and summer the line is out in the street for drive. The service still is excellent. Never had anything here I didn't like! The soft served ice cream is delicious. My mother and I went last night and I got a vanilla kiddie cone. It was the perfect size. I love how convenient it is to my house, that I can walk down there when it's nice out. The service is always great. One thing that is pretty slow though is the drive thru. I go up to the window now. One suggestion would be to make the parking lot bigger because cars can't drive past the people in the drive thru line, which causes a traffic jam and cars ending up on the busy Springfield Pike. I love Dairy Queen ice cream. I used to work at one growing up and just always enjoy eating a blizzard. However this one could use a little work. It is the classic old school Dairy Queen with only the walk up windows, no inside seating or drive thru. It just takes you back to a simpler time. The problem with this one is the staff. Each time i have went there has only been one person working and they have been really slow. Also both times one item from our order has been messed up. My wife likes her blizzard made with chocolate ice cream and orders it that way. When they made it both times they put chocolate ice cream on the bottom and the candy but then put regular ice cream on top and blends it so it is only made with half chocolate. But since it is the store just by my house i will probably go back to get my ice cream fix. read more
