I have some friends from Cincy and they told me I just had to try Graeter's ice cream. The service was outstanding!! The employees were so happy to give us the history of Graeter's and how the recipe hasn't changed since 1870. The raspberry chip was amazing- it was rich in flavor with massive chocolate chunks. It was so yummy, I went back the next day. The service was consistent. The second day, we sat inside and it was like stepping back in time. It was clean, spacious with old-time decor. It really is lovely!

I was told this was a Cincinnati staple and I had to stop while I was in town.... I was not disappointed. Grater's was an interesting combo of morning pasty shop, ice cream parlor, and gift shop. A good ole fashioned ice cream parlor. Customer service from the young kids working on a Saturday night was phenomenal! They walked me through the menu explaining what they were known for and tailoring my tastes to their menu. I grabbed an ice cream shake with whipped cream and see why it came recommended! Definitely worth a stop to this Cincy staple!

I've always had a good experience with Graeters products ....But whatever you do don't ever deal with management, especially at the store or the customer service for that matter I was really excited to try the Black raspberry chip donuts .. so I pre-ordered half a dozen and go pick them up and the store is boiling hot. The donuts were also very warm to touch like they had just been made drenched and glazed and then topped with sticky icing and chocolate chips. we couldn't even touch one of them. It was just a sloppy mess .. so I called the store. I said hey can I bring these back? It's not really what I was expecting. I did not know you guys drowned your whole doughnut and sweet glaze before icing the tops and plus they're so messy they're just going to stick to the box once they're cooled and chilled, and the girl on the phone told me that she was standing in for the manager and that he was off on a personal matter and good luck getting a callback she said the words take your chances and good luck getting a callback. It could be weeks or months before he call you back and I said oh really that seems pretty weird to say to discourage me from leaving my phone number and trying to get my money back. She's like oh yeah you can't have your money back. We don't take returns so of course I took them home and when I took them home, I put them in a refrigerator and just like I assumed they were so gloomy and sticky. They just stuck right to the box. It's like somebody had just dipped them in a big fat of glaze and put them in the box. She also told me on the phone that it didn't matter if the store was hot mind you two other customers were complaining about how hot it was inside, but she said that that didn't matter because the cases were kept cold, but she didn't get them from my case so that's probably part of the problem if you're gonna sell a product and represent Cincinnati you should probably stand behind your product. This is not standing behind your product so I called the one 800 number which the girl at the store told me that calling the main number for issues .. also the girl who answered the phone at the store told me that it would be useless to call the customer service main number because they only help with ice cream issues. I didn't believe that either so I called myself and the lady who answered that number corporate number I'm assuming or I don't know she was very nice. She took all my information and said she'd make a note of everything and try to get me my money back but it's been an entire week. I haven't heard anything no text ,no call ,no reaching .out .so yeah I think I'll stick to buying the pints at the store because I'm never dealing with an in-store situation again.I refuse to pay for an inedible product .. I tried to give them away but when I show them to people they're like yeah no thanks...They were so drenched that even after refrigerating they were soggy ..Who makes donuts like this .

The inside of this Graeter's is quite big. The ambiance is casual, and there are enough spots to sit down and enjoy your ice cream. The workers were all very friendly, patient and attentive. I thought it was cute that they also sell Graeter's merch at the front of the shop. Although the ice cream is on the pricier side ($5+ for one scoop), I had a good time and I would come back to try more flavors off the menu. Below are my reviews: *Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip - This flavor is the whole reason why I had to try out Graeter's. I am not from the area, but I heard a lot of hype about the Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip flavor, and I am happy to say it did not disappoint. Even though I am not a big fan of chocolate, the chocolate chips in this ice cream were delicious. They were big and chunky, but not hard to eat. The ice cream itself has a velvety smooth texture. You can taste hints of the black raspberry, which is fruity and sweet but not overly sweet. This is easily one of my favorite ice cream flavors of all time. *Brown Butter Bourbon Pecan - This flavor has a very strong bourbon taste, perfect for people who enjoy that. I personally wasn't a fan of this flavor because to me it tasted like spiked toothpaste, but that's just my personal opinion. I still recommend it for people who enjoy the taste of bourbon.

Oh Graeter's how I love thee!!! So yeah I am obsessed with Graeter's and have been going once a week lately. I live in Columbus but was visiting my grandparents who live in Fairfield and I told them I wanted to go to Graeter's after a true Cincy dinner at Skyline! They humored me and we went to this location since it was the closest to their house and somewhat near the Skyline. This Graeter's is pretty big! A lot more offerings than what we see in the Columbus locations! They have various candies, chocolates, pastries, frozen cakes, tons of apparel and of course....the best ice cream known to man! I knew I wanted a triple dip cone with double chocolate chip, vanilla and strawberry. To be honest, I didn't even think I could finish it, but I straight up DEVOURED it! My family couldn't believe it. I couldn't quite tell if they were impressed or disgusted (keep in mind, we had just come from Skyline, so it's not like I hadn't eaten all day). It was so satisfying as I knew it would be. The staff here was also super nice. I love Graeter's so much that I came prepared in my Homage Graeter's t-shirt and signature Graeter's hat! The associate scooping my cone was like "Wow...you really came in ready for this." lol! They probably thought I was a nerd, but that's ok. We sat in one of the many indoor tables as we enjoyed our treats. My cousin had never had a milkshake from Graeter's before so I urged him to try one. He said it was one of the best shakes he had ever had (duh!). All in all, I have never met a Graeter's I didn't like and this one is no exception. Keep scoopin the good stuff and I plan to be back soon!

It really is the best dang ice cream. If you like chocolate, their "chips" are huge so it's like eating a candy bar in your ice cream. Haha.

It's one thing to close early, but to post a handwritten sign calling the event "stupid" was shockingly unprofessional. It's figuratively and literally more than a bike race, it's a fundraiser that supports cancer research and survivorship through the CancerFree KIDS Pediatric Cancer Research Alliance. It brings thousands of people together for a cause that matters deeply, while also creating one of the most electric, family-friendly atmospheres you'll find in Cincinnati. From a business perspective, this was a massive missed opportunity. The streets were filled with people eager to support local shops and enjoy the events which is exactly the kind of audience any small business would hope for. Instead of welcoming that energy, Patty's turned it away and insulted the very people walking by their storefront. I love supporting small, local businesses, but this kind of response shows a disconnect from the community that makes Hyde Park special. I hope they reconsider how they respond to events like this in the future.

We used to watch their roaster in their store stir and tumble the raw cacao beans they import directly from farmers and co-ops around the world. The aroma was subtle and warming. On this visit (Dec 2025), we realize they had recently moved production across Ohio River to the Eastside in Covington KY :-( The store had a sweet lovely aroma. It was filled with chocolate products that they make themselves. Bars of white chocolate, milk chocolate, flavored, and as dark as 80%, assorted candies, ground cacao, drinking chocolate mix, and even a cacao & chai & adaptogen beverage mix. We went for dark chocolate bars that we hadn't seen before. $14 Limited-edition 70% Thailand Dark Chocolate, sourced from the 10-year-old family-run Khun farm and harvest-station for about 40 neighbors. It had a subtle fruit sweetness and slight acidity, balancing the intensity of rich deep flavors, more savory than bitter. I think that Maverick's methods smooth the bitterness of the darker chocolates. A number of family-members found a bar of Dark chocolate under their tree this holiday season :-) Founded in 2014, Maverick's is a treasure. Next time we get here, we're gonna plan a drive 15min south of here to take a tour (with samples :-) of their factory and soak in that roasty aroma :-)
