I asked management to check the lines because the flavor was off - as a Dr Pepper connoisseur from Waco, Texas, home of Dr Pepper I know the flavor and what was served at the fountain was not it. The manager did nothing but taste the flavor and had no clue of what was wrong - his statement "I checked the lines this am." Well the ratio is off or the content bag is outdated giving off the wrong flavor. Of course it made the environment somewhat pivotal and I could not wait to find my favorite soda somewhere else!

There are a wide variety of flavors to chose from, many toppings that are always filled properly and fruit (my favorite topping) that is fresh and usually seasonally ripe. The employees are friendly and quickly address any issues that may arise. The one down side is that this location does not allow you to get your own samples. I'll admit, I like to try a variety of flavors before I settle on one and feel a little stifled that I have to have someone administer samples to me. But their staff is gracious and will give me as many dollops as I ask for without a fuss or attitude. I found the acoustics to be terrible and placing my order to the cashier was very difficult. I should have used that as a clue that sitting inside to eat was going to be just as bad, and it was. Whether it was a larger group of excited friends talking loudly or just a small group catching up, it echoed everywhere and I could not enjoy myself. I also found that trying to get some water from the large drink dispenser with the spigot was difficult as the water was lower than the spigot. It was awkward and maybe not the best set up.

I never knew a fast food joint could do such a solid philly cheese-steak until now. I was passing…read morethrough the area along my cross country move and after being so totally over fast food in general, this stood out as something different. And it was. I got a signature steak philly (hold the shrooms cause I don't eat no fungus) and my husband got it with the shrooms (he does) plus some pepper jack sauce. Each philly comes with your choice of meat plus grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms and cheese. You can opt to add a cheddar or pepper jack cheese sauce. Husband loved his pepper jack sauce. I loved mine just the way it was. The bread was fresh, the meat seasoned well and cooked correctly. You can't go wrong with grilled onions, peppers and melted ooey gooey cheese. I love the fact that it's cooked to order right in front of you. No hanky panky sketchy cooking done behind a wall. The place was clean and from start to finish I was there maybe 10 minutes. Not bad for cooked to order philly's. We got fries and those were made fresh as well. Everything was hot and tasted excellent. Money-wise, it was a bit more than a typical fast food meal but it was absolutely worth it. The employees were patient with me as I navigated an unfamiliar menu and when I ordered 2 small fries, they were kind enough to tell me they would just charge me for a large as it was the same amount of fries but less money for me. I appreciate someone who helps me out like that. Can't say I'll be back anytime soon as my new city doesn't have a Pepperjax (boo!) but if you're in an area that does, you're in for a treat.

I do believe that the portion sizes for rice, beans, queso and some toppings are usually skimped on. The scoop for them are usually only 2oz; and considering the prices it shouldn't be like that. And almost every time I politely ask for a little bit more, it's usually met with some tense energy. Now they try to double charge me for rice even though when I ask for extra it's like an ounce. I never ask for more queso bc I know that they will charge me double, but it is legit a drizzle of queso. Considering is $1.50 up charge the queso portion should be bigger. Especially when compared to Pancheros or chipotle. The food is great that's why I keep coming back, but always a little frustrated leaving paying $15 for a burrito that's half the size of a Pancheros $11 burrito.
