We ate dine-in at Chick-fil-A on a Friday at ~8:00 a.m. The store was practically spotless. There was no wait at the cashier line. Our food was brought out to our table within 2 minutes of sitting down. Dana was the cashier and the employee who brought us our food and she was an absolute delight. Perfectly polite and friendly! About 10 ft behind our table, a manager was doing was sounded like and employee evaluation/check-in. He sounded very genuine, constructive, and open to his employee's ideas. His demeanor was uncommon and refreshing of a manager in the fast food industry. Food was great, no qualms. Perfect portion size and exactly as we ordered. I have no issue recommending this location based on my experience. read more

They can't ever get drive thru right. They kept messing up, went through the drive thru and got a peppermint shake and they gave a strawberry. Then went through drive thru for the second time and then they "lost our order". Not very happy with their service, after parking "VIP" they finally gave the right order. The communication was bad. The team members couldn't communicate with each other and we had to talk to four different workers about our mess up order. Extremely disappointed that now there is only one drive up lane and the other half is for mobile orders only. Because of this, you have lost our business!! 5/5 for our drive-thru experience on the day after Christmas. Anyone who knows Cedar Rapids knows how crazy Collins Rd. is on such a day. We braved it anyway. Drive-thru employee who took our order was extremely friendly, as was the employee who handed us or order. From the time we ordered until we received our food we waited no longer than 3 minutes. Lines look intimidating but they are super efficient and it's never taken me longer than 10 mins with 40 cars in front of me. Food is always amazing, staff always friendly. I eat there twice a week if not more and only had them mess up my order once, they didn't omit the pickles and food has always been fresh and hot. The food itself was very good, there's just one issue that I would have loved for them to have fixed. They forgot an entire meal, with fries and chicken nuggets! They also didn't give us any straws, we had to drink our beverages straight out of the cup! Ordered two meals found hair in both meals that didn't match mine or the other person I was with. It was absolutely disgusting. I went from Chick-fil-A being my favorite restaurant to one of my least favorite restaurants. My family eats at chick-fil-a pretty frequently - enough that they know us by name, and we have never had such terrible food. We went through the drive-thru and it moved pretty quickly, but when we got home we found out that we were short a sandwich. The fries were super soggy, drenched in oil, and we had gotten the bits and pieces from the bottom on the basket. Extremely gross and disappointing. I've been back a number of times and now they know me by name. This restaurant rocks. I did have a glitch at breakfast time but I've been told they have been working on it. The last morning visit was quick. I strongly urge you to try their salads. I've got some health issues and have to eat a lot of greenery. It's no problem at Chick-Fil-A. Even a side salad (which is generous) and a diet soda (or water) makes a lot better snack than a burger at the place with the redheaded clown. One thing I want to mention is the atmosphere. At night 40+ people in the lobby are quieter and more well behaved than a half dozen guests at the dumpy Mickey Dee's on First Avenue! This is a much more family-friendly atmosphere. The service is awesome and the help always says "My pleasure"... I'd say it sounds corny but I really think they mean it. The people who work here seem to like their jobs and the guests they serve. read more

I don't typically eat fast food... but when I do it is Chick-fil-A! The Collins road location is always busy... however they work hard to get the orders out within minutes! The employees are always friendly and polite. The inside is always spotless. And the food is always hot and fresh. I enjoy both their breakfast and lunch/dinner options. I also think they make the best iced coffee around! The only complaint I have is that I crave chick-fil-A on sundays and it isn't open!! I respect that though! read more

This place was the same as every other Chick Fil-a; nothing more, nothing less. If you want the usual, give this place a go.

I never used to eat here because it always looked so busy and I didn't think it would be that great. It's a very efficient place so even at busy times the food does not take long. Today there was a woman who must be the general manager delivering food to tables and she was extremely nice and welcoming. This place also has my favorite fast food fries ever and the chicken soup was also very good and was something different to try. This is one of the best places to eat near the lindale mall for sure. read more
