Feel like having your order messed up AND being insulted when you ask for it to be made correctly? That's what happened to me at this location. The employee Joe Martinez absolutely insisted that my blizzard was made right, but I couldn't find any of the heath candy in it, so I asked for it to be remade. Was told that this location isn't doing that, but that I could get the peanut butter cookie dough party blizzard which has the peanut brittle crunch topping in it. Me and my husband travel to San Antonio so he can be seen at the VA hospital for his doctor's appointments once a week and the day we went to his appointment we stopped at the dairy Queen on Fredericksburg road and I must say we have never been treated so great and had the most personable customer service from this young woman that work there I believe her name she said is Michelle and I must say she treated us like we were a guest in her home checked on us as if we needed anything and threw the period of us being there having dinner and then dessert she continued to check on us to see if we needed anything and and we have never been treated like that before and I want to say that she is a wonderful asset to that store we will go and stop there again every week and hope to see her :-) again thank you Mary and Jim Southerland read more

Regret stopping here, the memories of DQ a decade ago have slowly faded. There is absolutely 0 customer service, over an hour wait for an order that came out wrong, melted ice cream and missing items. Wait another 30 minutes to speak to anyone, then there is no manager so the person didn't even attempt to apologize, when asked for the manager she said he's there, I asked can you call him or her and she walked away. Absolutely disgusted, I won't be coming back and recommend you steer clear this location. It's absolute chaos, dirty and under staffed, the staff doesn't give a damn about people waiting for hours to get a melted blizzard or the wrong flavor. I had a coupon book I bought from some mom for her kid's fundraiser and it had a coupon for a free Hunger Buster Combo with purchase. Even though it is the medical center there was some riff raff like a previous reviewer said, including a possible heroin addict who came in and asked for a spoon then left to a waiting vehicle. I asked if I could upgrade the coupon to a Belt Buster which has two patties. The cashier asked and the manager agreed with no fuss. It is a typical mass public franchise with pit stop feel to it but it was as clean as could be. The burger was good. Definitely recommend this place. read more

I always get something with chili and cheese on it, whether it's the hot dog or the fries. If I've been feeling extra bad, I'll get a small blizzard or an Oreo shake. These are the things I grew up eating, so it's nice to enjoy that nostalgia, though I try not to eat here often because it's fast food and I want to try to eat better most of the time. I've had dairy queen all over Texas and I have to say that this location has NEVER messed up my order. They are pretty busy so I would avoid if you're in a hurry. Also the drive-thru is next to a gas station so it can be hard to get in line or or Fredericksburg road. But overall, the food is good. read more

After telling a management that there was a man next to the drive through panhandling they just shrugged it off. Great food at this location, although I can say in my opinion I think the food here got smaller over the years or I grew up. Other than that, the lobby is very clean and I feel so comfortable eating there the staff here does a fantastic job every single time I roll through. Just recently went for a blizzard and the cashier even flipped the cup upside down which was a neat little showboat of a trick at the end, I wasn't expecting that which kind of made me chuckle and I never really do at a drive-thru. It is not worth the time, or energy, to buy food from this store. When they mess up your order you are stuck with it. At least when dealing with Edward. I bought a burger later in the evening. When i got home I found out that my order was wrong. I called and spoke with Edward. I told him it would be the next day to bring the receipt by for a corrected order. He told me to bring the receipt when I came in the next day. I did just that on my way home from work. He told me that without some part of the order (in addition to the receipt) there was nothing he would/could do. The moral of the story is:1) either stand at the counter and make sure that they did not screw up your order; or 2) save yourself the hassle and time AND GO TO ANY OTHER RESTAURANT, of which there are many in the area to this store. I was craving a milkshake and Dairy Queen is on my way home. It was a mistake. The blizzard, Strawberry with chocolate flakes, had no strawberry flavor. It taste like a very sweet vanilla milkshake with chocolate flakes. I also ordered a hamburger, the patties were okay, but what ruined it for me was that the bun was covered with raw, powered flour. It gave the bun a dry, powdery, sour taste that spread over the meat and lettuce, also covered my fingers then the fries and onion rings. After two bites, I douldn't eat anymore. It was a waste of time and money. I spent over $17 and the only thing I ate was the milkshake after I washed my hands.
