Jalapeno Poppers
Nate J.

We were excited to this Wienerschnitzel as we hadnt been to one in 6 years since moving to SA. We went on a Saturday afternoon at lunch time and every table was taken. We walked to the counter and were were greeted right away and ask for our order. The person behind the counter was very kind, courteous and helpful. We got lucky and a table opened up and he quickly went to wipe it down for us before we sat down. Five or so minutes later he brought our food out to us. Everything was packaged well and looked great! I got the #1 (2) chili cheese dogs with fries and a drink! Dogs were tasty, chili and onions were fresh, the buns soft and the fries were well made and nicely salted. My wife got the Chicago dog and she really like it, only complaint was the bun was soggy from the veggies i'm guessing... We also got jalapeno poppers and they were great, cooked well and full of filling. The restaurant is shiny and new still the drink are was neat and tidy and the restrooms were clean. The tables were kept nice and clean and the dining area spotless. We are already ready to go back and get some more grub!

I've been waiting for the place to open up! The first day of opening, yes the lines were long, but the drive thru was going quick! They have many workers going fast. The friendliness of the staff is superb as well. Now, I'd rate it lower stars but they made up completely for it; I had got my order and halfway drove home saw they missed an item. When I went in, I was greeted by the managers and they made my whole order again fresh. That was very nice of them (most places don't do that). Lastly, the interior is very spacious, it's crazy how much bigger the inside is compared to the other locations in SA. I'd say give it a shot and see what you think, it's just as great as the other locations and for CHEAP!

Today is the grand opening, so the place was really busy, the food is tasty and with a good price, the service is very friendly.

New location but not off to a great start. Already running outta food.

Was excited to try the new location but walked up to a sign saying they were out of fries. They don't offer onion rings, tator tots or chips.

DELICIOUS

The food is FABULOUS!! The service is friendly. My order was served immediately. To the customers that left a bad review, That was not nice!! Every restaurant the is starting a business, they don't intentionally run out of food, it's there 1st day. Also not every restaurant gets their order 100% correct. They are new give them a break. So if you don't have something nice to post DON'T post anything

It tasted great and it made me excited to come back and try the other options they have! The curly fries were also seasoned well and very crisp. They might've been a bit understaffed because there was no one at the register when I walked in so I had a wait a minute or two before receiving service. But when she took my order and gave us our food she was super nice. The food also didn't take long to come out either. I very much enjoyed the outdoor area I sat at with my friends. What a find! We…read morefound this place while participating in a Sister's Grimm Ghost Tour. Our tour guide said "Best hotdogs in San Antonio," so naturally we had to try them. As soon as the tour was over we walked back to the corner of W. Crockett and N. Presa to give them a try. Our tour guide was right, these are the best hotdogs in San Antonio. Bacon wrapped with a multitude of options for toppings, paired with a toasted bun, we literally sacrificed our keto diet on these. 100% recommend. We had two of the bacon wrapped with ketchup and mustard, and shared an everything (ketchup, mustard, mayo, and jalapeños). I can't decide which is better so you will need to give them both a try as well. Great location. Nice easy walk from the Alamo, and they are open late to give you the snack you need while doing a historic tour or of the city or spending a night out on the Riverwalk. I also have to give the guys working the stand a compliment, they were fast regardless of the line, and happy to be giving the customers a great experience. Bottom line, this hotdog stand is unlike any other I've been to (and I'm from the New York area - hot dog stand capital of the world). Go give them a try!

Our first night in San Antonio, we checked into the hotel, rested for a little bit, and…read morethen.....boop.....out to eat we went because that's what we do . My husband found this spot, and being from Chicago, I was immediately interested. I grew up on thin crust pizza, cut in squares, with Italian sausage and jalapeños. That is my kind of pizza, period. So of course that's what we ordered, except we added pepperoni too. And listen.....it did what it needed to do. The pizza was thin, cheesy, flavorful, and cut the right way.....in squares. We got a small, I believe around 12 inches, and it was perfect for us. I also had to get a Chicago dog because.....hello.....CHICAGO. Fresh ingredients, poppy seed bun, all the proper toppings, and the Vienna Beef dog was right on point. My husband also ordered a pizza puff because somehow this man claims he doesn't remember eating pizza puffs back in the day. Sir.....we definitely used to get those for you . The only thing missing was some good Chicago mild sauce. Had that been there, whew.....complete throwback. But honestly, the experience was bigger than just the food for me. The decor is ALL Chicago. Cubs, Bears, Bulls, jerseys, memorabilia, old photos, Chicago PD references.....everywhere you look, there's something that takes you back. I was walking around recording with my Ray-Ban Metas because the memories were just coming. I even asked who was from Chicago because I already knew SOMEBODY had to be . Turns out, the owner is, and he was actually the one who took our order and brought out our food. Service was great. You order at the counter, they bring your food to the table, and there's a self-service area for drinks and condiments. They also offer beer and wine, although we stuck with fountain drinks. And then my husband handed me an RC Zero. Listen.....I had not had RC Cola since before I left for the military at 19. Talk about a blast from the past. Overall, great food, great service, and a serious dose of Chicago nostalgia. If you're from Chicago, or just love Chicago-style food and sports culture, this place is worth checking out. Whenever we're back in San Antonio, we'll definitely be back for my Chicago fix. I almost forgot... they was on Triple D's w/Guy Fieri... Diner, Drives & Dives.

I ask for mine hot peppers, dipped with Au jous on the side; large RC or cold Goose Island beer and some cheese fries. FIRST TIME VISIT!…read more Woohoo! Been looking for chili cheese fries and happened upon a review for this place boasting fries with a homemade chili so we HAD TO stop in tonight. THE LOCATION: on the very end of a string of businesses in a strip mall that I've never been in before, so that was cool. Lots of parking, that'll never be an issue. And right off the 410. THE MENU: Burgers, dogs, Mexi-style munchies and a variety of frozen dessert-type items like shakes, frozen fruit concoctions and Italian ice. THE STAFF: I wasn't overwhelmed with a warm welcome and smiles, at least from the guys. Lol! They should really work on that. There was a sweet gal who ran out our food orders and she was great. THE FOOD: I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich deluxe with tots and a sweet tea. The grilled chicken was juicy and cooked well and the bun was lovely, slightly sweet and toasted. Overall, the sandwich could've used more flavor, like a creamy bbq spread and cheddar instead of the "Swiss" cheese that tasted more like American cheese. But overall, 7/10. The tots were extra crispy and the guy who took my order didn't take heed to my request for ranch. I was too lazy to get up again so I settled for ketchup. The sweet tea was nicely sweet and fresh, I'll be sipping this in my dreams. The hubby ordered the bacon cheeseburger with chili cheese fries and an Oreo cookie shake. The burger looked good and he ate it quick, so there's that. This guy can EAT so it surprised us both when he slowed down fast after eating that burger. Lol! He kept saying how filling it was, but then he also killed a large shake before the food arrived, so there's that. He ate most of his chili cheese fries, leaving me a few bites to sample. Not bad. I order a Coco Haven frozen dessert to go and omg is this thing delightful! Vanilla ice cream and coconut Italian ice (?) with a blue snow cone-like syrup drizzled throughout. I loved the texture of what I believed to be Italian ice. Smooth and flaky, a perfect icy dessert. OVERALL: decent eatery, the hubby said we can go back (LOL!) Shockerrrrr! But I recommend the staff tries harder to make customers feel welcomed and comfortable. The next visit will be telling.

2/5 stars I came…read morehere around 10:00 p.m. on a Sunday, about an hour before closing. There was no line, only a few people sitting at the bar, so I wasn't expecting a long wait. The first issue was using the InKind app. We spent about 10 minutes trying to figure out how to use it because ordering ahead wasn't working, and none of the employees seemed familiar with the process. One employee was patient, friendly, and genuinely tried to help us figure it out, which I appreciated. After finally placing our order, we were told it would take about 15 minutes. Instead, we waited roughly 40 minutes, and didn't receive our food until 11:00 p.m., right at closing. I understand we came during the last hour before closing, which is why I specifically asked if we had enough time. If the kitchen was backed up or our order was going to take 40+ minutes that late in the evening, I would have completely understood. I just wish we had been told that up front instead of being quoted 15 minutes. By the time we received our food, it was closing time. Thankfully we ordered it to go, because if we'd planned to eat there, we wouldn't have had the opportunity. When our food was finally ready, the bag was already ripping because something inside had leaked. The employee noticed right away, grabbed two new bags, and repacked everything, which I appreciated. We ordered quite a bit to sample the menu: the Cali Chick (lettuce wrapped), Hot Chick, Buff Chick, Little Mule, Totchos, onion strings, sweet potato fries, and a Teriyaki Chicken Caesar Wrap (which we haven't tried yet, so I can't comment on that one). Unfortunately, the food we did eat was very disappointing. The lettuce-wrapped Cali Chick was a mess--the lettuce was so wilted it couldn't even function as a wrap. The onion strings, Totchos, and sweet potato fries had all lost their crispness by the time we got them, and everything was lukewarm or cold. The Little Mule ended up being our favorite burger, while the Hot Chick definitely delivered on the spice. Ironically, the sweet potato fries were my favorite side, even though they came in the smallest portion. Our total was over $100 before the InKind discount, and I honestly wouldn't pay full price for this meal. The quality just didn't match the price. I don't know if the kitchen was short-staffed or if something else was going on that night, but waiting 40 minutes after being quoted 15 minutes--especially with almost no one else ordering--only to receive cold, soggy food was incredibly disappointing. I do want to give credit to the employee who helped us. He was polite, apologized several times for the delay, and even repacked our order when he noticed the leaking bag. Unfortunately, the overall experience and food quality just didn't live up to the price. Based on this visit, I couldn't justify spending over $100 for the experience we received. I hope this was just an off night, but it was disappointing enough that I felt it deserved a 2-star review.
