Other fast food places nearby also have spicy chicken sandwiches, but this is definitely the best. Was surprised at how thick and juicy the chicken was. Plus it was quite crispy and that worked really well with the soft and juicy chicken inside. Only thing is that some of the sides might be different than expected based on description. The Cajun fries are pretty much just fries with pepper on them, not true Cajun seasoning. Also, it's more red beans with rice on top, than red beans & rice. Once I mixed them together, it was still pretty good. Service was fine. It takes a bit longer than some other fast food places, but I think that's probably more due to the high demand now that it's a new restaurant. Time will tell how service is. We arrived around 12:30 AM and experienced an outrageous wait for our food (2 hours), but the worst part wasn't even the wait. It was how we were treated by the staff. One Puerto Rican male employee, who appeared to be around 30-40 years old, was EXTREMELY rude and aggressive toward us. He was cursing at us, literally telling us to "get the fuck out of our store," and even made threats toward me. I genuinely cannot believe an employee thinks it's acceptable to speak to customers this way, especially when we're simply waiting for food that we PAID for. I understand that late-night shifts can be stressful and that restaurants can get busy, but there is absolutely NO excuse for threatening customers, swearing at them, or treating them with such blatant disrespect. What should have been a quick late-night food run turned into an unnecessarily hostile and uncomfortable experience. Management seriously needs to address this behavior because no customer should ever feel threatened while trying to order food. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable.

They CONFIRM and ACCEPT orders from Door Dash but they refuse to make them and dashers arrive to no orders and customers get a refund instead of the food they ordered! Recently (November 1st) I arrived at the store to pick up a Door Dash order (again Door Dash would not send out the orders if Wendy's did not confirm or accept the order!) Wendy's waited on four cars in front of me and there was a line of cars behind me! When I go to the window, rhe employee (very rudely) told me that they did not have my order because Door Dash had just called them and canceled and they were closed! Little did they know that I was actually on the phone with Door Dash the ENTIRE time (before I even arrived at the store) and they NEVER canceled the order! I recorded the ENTIRE CONVERSATION! When I confronted the employee about this, she told me to "get the fuck out of there." She them called the manager over who also repeated "get the fuck off our property or I will call the police." The Door Dash employee witnessed this and I have the entire interaction on audio recording! The Door Dash representative advised me to leave the drive thru and she would take it from there. I was also in contact with BOTH CUSTOMERS who were "super pissed" that they had been waiting for over an hour for their order to only have their order canceled and refunded! Door Dash advised me that they would be "taking appropriate action" against that Wendy's location as they had violated their merchant agreement. Recently we were back in the area as we were driving north and we stopped in for food and a flight. Their menu continues to have a great selection of food, beers and cocktails. There are a good number of vegetarian options on the menu as well. The beer selection is just great and I look back fondly on their martini specials that seem to have continued to this day. The location is really cool as an old post office and it just always feels like a fun place to be. Service was still quick.

This is one of my favorite places to come for a celebration or just a regular day. The decor is always quirky and fun (giant paper machete figures high up - I assume from their Boombox Parade floats?), service is usually warm, friendly, and down to earth (the owner even came by to ask how everything was, which is a big deal in a building as massivee as this on a weekend night!) Their tap list is huge and I love to get a flight here to sample a little of everything - they offer both brews made in house and lots of local and not so local options to choose from. This day, I got the Willibrew Triptych Fruit Punch Sour, which went down easy and was fun to drink, the perfect amount of fruitiness while still having that sour tart punch. I tried my friend's Willibrew Choccy Stoot Chocolate Stout, which was a little more acidic than I would have preferred and a bit too light on the chocolate flavor for me, but still pretty in line with similar types of stouts. For food, I got the build your own burger with the vegetarian chicken patty, lettuce/tomato, pickles, cheddar, and their wonderful pesto aioli. I love that they've added so many more vegetarian options to the menu in the past few years - before that I did struggle a little bit and the Black Bean Dip appetizer was my go-to, but was not filling enough for a meal. The bun was fluffy and buttery and added to the sandwich instead of just being dry slop (which is what I think of most buns lol). This aioli is awesome and I want to dip absolutely everything in it, although the pesto notes were a little light on this day. For a side, I could choose from fries, mashed potatoes, or cole slaw, and went cole slaw to try to be healthy. I'm picky with cole slaw and actually really like this one - it's more savory instead of how a lot of cole slaws weirdly lean to the sweet side. It was crunchy and not too creamy or watery, just right honestly! I always love coming here and always try a new beer that I typically end up enjoying, since they offer such a wide variety and a good amount of sours (my favorite), stouts, seasonal items, unusual fruity items, and so on. I really should stop gassing it up so much because it does already get quite busy on some days, but I can't help myself - it's unique and unlike anything in the area. The lore, the history in the old post office building itself, the pinball machines and chalkboard in the bathroom filled with weird quotes, the funky artwork - they just all add to its character and the legend. Shout out to Barry if he still works at the bar and his awesome playlists - he gave the BEST service to my friends and I when we used to go hang out at the bar side regularly, he's the best and always made me feel at home.
