Food was awful we all came home and were sick to my stomach for hours. The meat was dry and service was so slow.

The wings and the mousse (beyond expectations)!! MUAH- chef's kiss! The mussels were good but need a bit of something. Service: I had my food for pick-up. I did not eat-in so I can't offer a true review. HOWEVER. The host/greeters were polite. They greeted me upon eye contact and kept warm smiles on their face the entire time. When my food bag was handed to me. I was met with a fare well greeting and a thank you. 10/10 for my service experience, although brief. Ambiance: Vibrant. When you walk in you hear pleasant chattering and the sound of honest conversation and genuine joy. Price: 8.5/10. Fair prices.

There's a lot of nostalgia tied to this place, but the experience today feels like a shadow of what it used to be. The quality has dropped drastically. Service was, frankly, atrocious--slow, disengaged, and bordering on indifferent. The beer selection is still decent, but it doesn't matter much when every pour arrives tasting off. Whether it's bad kegs or hot glasses, the result is the same: lukewarm, skunky beer that's hard to enjoy. Food was another disappointment. Every item came out cold, and the flavors were on par with grade‑D fast food--bland, lifeless, and nowhere near the standard this place once had. Giving three stars feels generous, but it's a nod to the legacy Willibrew built over the decades. I truly hope they find their footing again, because right now, the nostalgia is doing all the heavy lifting. Ummmmm cheers I guess

So many items to choose from, something for everyone. Burgers & fries were delicious, I tried my daughter's fried shrimp and it was soooo fresh and good (not one bit greasy)! And the best New England Chowda I've ever had! Definitely try the bottled soda. Lime Ricky was my favorite. All in all, Definitely recommend. **edited to add-we went back the next day. I tried the lobster roll and wow! It was soooo amazing. Perfect amount of mayo, perfectly toasted roll, and large chunks of lobster meat. They're always having some kind of event, today was the annual Truck show. We got to see the goats and chickens, trucks and campers. They had delicious BBQ, hayrides, and tons of games to play-from corn hole to volleyball to life size tic tac toe. Fun for the whole family.

This was LITERALLY the best lobster roll I've ever had in my life! I got mine warm with butter, but they also have them chilled with mayo. They give you 6oz of delicious claw meat served on a perfectly toasted hotdog bun, with just the right amount of melted butter. You also get a side of fries (also delicious) and a side of coleslaw (I wasn't crazy about the coleslaw, but I'm also not a huge fan of coleslaw to begin with). The cost was $36.00 I actually found it strange that a place in Colchester would have the best lobster roll in the state, considering it's not on the shoreline... but nevertheless, they clearly know the secret! As far as the ambiance of the place, it's nothing special. Basically just a bar with some indoor seating, and then they also have picnic tables out on the front sidewalk. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. If you're specifically going for a lobster roll, I'd recommend calling ahead just to make sure they have them, as sometimes they do run out. Overall, a must-try spot in CT!

Epic double burger and fries - a true classic!…read more Had the double burger with fries and it was absolutely epic! The patties were thick, juicy, and packed with flavor - exactly what you'd hope for from a historic Connecticut drive-in like Harry's Place. The fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned, making the whole meal a standout. This place has been around for over 100 years for a reason. Great portions, no-frills deliciousness, and that old-school vibe. If you're craving a solid burger and fries (or their famous clams/hot dogs), this is the spot. Will definitely be back next time I'm in the area! Highly recommend - 10/10 on the burger front.

This is kind of weird. I don't think this is a New England thing or a Connecticut thing. Had I known there was mustard and relish at a condiment counter around the corner, I would've just got a plain dog. The place gets busy for lunch and there's only one order taker. So the line can get out of that testy, especially if you're in a hurry. I know many say this is an institution and I shouldn't be speaking negatively about it, but it is what it is it's overrated. Yes it's been around for a long time, but it's super expensive for a hot dog and milkshake. I see no value here. I should've went up and around the corner to that bar that serves those really great lobster rolls. Colchester is a beautiful town, with many wonderful choices for a place to eat. I don't think this is one of them.
