The food quality here is solid.(first time at THIS location). My 'Shackburger' was fresh and cooked perfectly. However, they seemed drowned in orders during a Thursday evening rush. A 30 minute wait is wild, and it threw off the food timing. The fries were made too early and sat around getting cold, and the milkshake lacked that thick consistency. It felt like I was drinking flavored milk. Shoutout to the employee who brought our food and apologized for the delay. Overall, the staff are nice and the food is good. They just need to figure out how to manage a crowd without letting the food timing slide. read more

I was so surprised and made my dog's day when I went to pick up my son's food that I ordered online. Drove up to the drive thru and was greeted with the girl that handled the drive thru area and she noticed my dog in the car and automatically gave me a treat for my dog. So I actually thought this food was decent. I thought it was just gonna be another fast food place but it was different. The atmosphere was very chill and I had a good view outside while I was eating. It was a beautiful day out. After advising the staff that we placed a pickup order at the incorrect time, we asked if they could move up the order. After consulting with the manager they put the order in. While waiting by the front counter for the order to come up, I noticed two or three bags placed on the counter in front of me. After 15 minutes I finally asked if any of these bags were mine. All I got was yes. No sorry or apologies, and lukewarm food by the time we got home. While we do love the food and shakes, the customer services requires some attention. Tried the Shake Shack which recently opened up in South Windsor. #1 complaint is this is very limited for vegetarians. They only offer one veg burger which is a portabella mushroom with cheese. While I did order this (and it was good), I like to have a few alternative veg burger options. The fries were "ok". Crinkle style, no variety. Staff were friendly although you order via the computer. Outdoor seating available. Indoor seating is not all that appealing for ambiance. read more

A good burger for the area, in an area with lots of burger options. Blends in with the rest, but the quality is there to make it worth a try. Believe it or not, I have not been to a shake shack yet. There's always been one in driving distance, but I never wanted to really make a trek to one of these places. So when one opened up in the "Fancy" shopping plaza, I decided that now's the time for us to give it a go. Walking in, there is a slew of ordering kiosks and a single bored lady manning the register up front. Most everyone was fine with ordering via kiosk, so we followed the trend. They were promoting a white truffle burger and fries, and I like my fancy ingredients. So I give it an order, along with one of their portabella mushroom burgers "in the grass" and some truffle fries. We stake a claim at one of the booths. Place is open and clean, a single associate going around and attending the tables and cleaning them as people get up and leave. It's definitely set up to be a fast-casual place. You order your food, you eat, you leave. No real hanging out here. Our order comes up relatively quickly, and I get a text to pick up my food. I get handed my tray by another associate, then wait till they run to help another to actually grab extra napkins and ketchup. The burger is a pretty standard smash burger, unseasoned but with a strong crust. Bun was toasted, soft and sturdy. the frizzled onions were greasy, they were put into a cold fryer so they did crisp but absorbed most of the oil. Any taste that could've come from any of the other elements was completely obliterated by the overpowering smack of white truffle in the sauce. That might sound like a detractor, given that you would expect everything to have it's own flavor. but given that every other element had absolutely no real flavor of their own, there needed to be an overly aggressive sauce to make it taste like anything. That did leave the burger to being one-note. effectively being a sensation of textures with this heavy white truffle mayo doing all the heavy lifting. The mayo was good, but hard to justify eating a burger based solely on it. The portabella "burger" was effectively a mushroom cap stuffed with a slab of mozzerella then battered and deep fried. I was hoping that was going to be the "healthy" option, but there was nothing healthy about that. It's a giant cheese-stuffed mushroom. Once again, it was good but one-note. Heavier than one would expect. The fries were actually very good! the crust was very slight but very crispy, and the potatoes were pillowy and soft on the inside. The parmesean cheese was salty but not overpowering, and gave the fries the salt they desperately needed. I tried their shack sauce, and it was an olive oil mayo with a little ketchup in it. kind of lackluster, but it was a very creamy sauce with a good mouthfeel. My biggest problem with this place is that this is a burger joint in an area with about 8 different places that also sell burgers. Granted, this is one of the few that are fast-casual with a decent quality. There's a lot of competition, and this place will have to lean into it's brand name to help drive sales. However, If you haven't tried a shake shack it's a nice place to try. This one is done well, the staff is friendly and the food is good for a fast-casual burger joint. You will be flush with choices for that area, but if you're swinging by the apple store and need a burger, this place can fill that need. read more

I enjoyed the modern implements into this facility, ordering on tablet is always great but also offering the option to order at counter. Food is brought out to you to your table your not just being called by a number. The menu is large and easy to read in the back of the room. The facility and bathrooms were extremely clean and the food came out very fast. You are paying for a premium product $20+ for a double burger (~$10) a small fry and a lemonade, which is mostly ice. However the quality of the product is very high for fast food so you pay a premium. The veggies on the shake shack burger were fresh. However, I will say for the price I feel as though other burger chains in this same category (five guys, Mooyah, etc) and get more band for your buck at a similar price. I had to give a low rating to this place as the burgers were soggy and priced too high for the quantity. The location in south Windsor is large and is located at evergreen walk. Lot of seating and outdoor seating and ample parking as well. You have kiosks to order your food either take out or dine in. Our order took a lot of time to come out we ordered three burgers and fries and two shakes. Almost 20 minutes wait and there were barely any customers. I fries and burgers were tasty but I felt it is not worth the price for the quantity. Plus they came out soggy in the wrapper. Don't plan to go back there. read more

What can I say it's Shake Shack you can go wrong with Burgers and Fries and Frozen Custard. They have only been open for a week. But this team runs a tight ship. They had crayons and an activity sheet for the littles to keep them busy while we waited for our food. We would have liked to try their new dreamsicle frozen custard drink but they were so busy the past couple days. They're all out of vanilla custard. Can't fault them for that. This location is smaller on the inside than the one in West Hartford, but has plenty of outdoor seasoning for when the weather is nice. I think this was a nice addition to Evergreen Walk. Littles got a Cheeseburger & Chicken Bites. I tried out the new White Truffle Burger and we split an order of fries. read more

The food here is always decent. This trip I got the smokestack burger. I found it to be enjoyable and a little different with all the diced pepper on top. I wish the bun was a bit more toasted and less soft/soggy but that could be that I was doing pickup and it sat for a few mins before I got to it. Service is relatively quick considering that the food is made to order. The inside is very clean with this store being less than a year old. I would recommend this place to others to try out. I didn't have a shake this time, but they are very good. My only gripe with shakeshack is that they are comparatively on the more expensive side for what you get. read more

Our first time dining at Shake Shack was a great experience. Great service and food delivered to our table quickly. Lots of happy diners! We each got burgers and they were juicy and delicious! Best burger for this type of establishment locally. The crinkle fries were fresh and were cooked perfectly. We had to try the shakes since we were here so we ordered a strawberry shake as well as a cookies & cream shake. The strawberry shake had bits of real strawberries and was creamy & delicious. I'm not a fan of cookies & cream flavored anything but the shake here was very good. Overall we had a good experience. My only complaint is that we didn't come here sooner. read more

Located in the "back" of Evergreen Walk, currently right in the middle of a construction zone I had a hard time finding this place at first. It's a fairly large stand-alone building that doesn't have any prominent signage so if it wasn't for my being hungry I might have not found it. I got there around 4pm on a Wednesday and it was not that busy at all. Only a few cars in the lot and I think the employees outnumbered the guests in the building at any time. For as slow as it was they didn't seem like they were operating very efficiently. Hard to tell what a lot of them were doing and who might have been the manager/shift manager. Nobody at the counter when I walked in so I used one of the kiosks they have just inside the entry. That process was pretty smooth and easy but at the end of the process it asked for my mobile # to text me when my order was ready. My phone happened to be dead and in my car at the time so I just sat by the counter and waited. The order came out fairly quickly and after the grill cook finished the burger the employee bagging and filling the orders had to walk all the way around to the back of the kitchen to get the fries I ordered. I thought that was odd because there were quite a few people in there just walking around, chit-chatting. Maybe it was a shift change but it's not a good look. So I get my order, double-cheeseburger with avocado, regular fries and a half and half (Arnold Palmer, half-tea, half-lemonade) and head back to my car. Before leaving I wanted to try the food first. I started with the fries, as others have noted they were nothing special though they had a crispiness to them that others lack. Worst part is that they were cold, Not sure why you can't get fresh fries or at least keep them hot at a place like this. Next I went for the burger, it looked nice enough but typical 'smash burger' - the crust is the best part though it looked a little on the thin side. I thought "that's ok, I have 2 patties" except, upon further inspection I did not. So I went back in without even trying the burger to let them know. With so few customers there's no excuse for that, even if it was the end of the cooks shift. The employee bagging orders should have checked it as well. I let the employee filling orders know that I paid for the extra patty ($2-$3 more) and didn't get it. He tells the new grill cook (might have been the manager) and she responded they would give me another patty. They cooked a single patty with cheese and handed it to me in a box - who does this? I went back to my car and had to re-assemble the burger with one steaming hot burger patty and the original burger, not a fun experience. The whole thing wound up being a greasy mess. No apology, no extras (could have at least offered me a soda or dessert for trying to rip me off) just a burger patty in a box. Don't think I'll be coming back unless they make some improvements. I'm a big fan of Shake Shack and pretty excited about this new location. We went at an off time mid afternoon on a weekday. Good timing. It's setup a little differently than WEHA as your order is delivered to your table. A table number is given when you order. Shack burger was delish and fries were hot. We received our order quickly. Like all Shake Shacks, ketchup is self serve, salt & pepper are not. Great outdoor seating here and lots of it. It'll be an awesome spot when it warms up! Parking seemed ample and location is walkable from large lots at Evergreen or nearby. Much more convenient location for us than WEHA! read more

Worst Shake Shack on Planet Earth!!! DO NOT EAT HERE! I've ordered 10 times from this EVERGREEN WALK SHAKE SHACK and 3 times they screwed up the order not including the right sandwich. For instance, You'll order the Premium Bacon Alvocado Chicken Sandwich (be charged the $3.50 upgrade) and just get a plain chicken sandwich. Or you'll order a double burger and only be given a single. They do this to drive-thru customers the most knowing they won't realize staff screwed them until already at home. Management has a permanent voicemail on the business and will never answer the phone. Their management will NEVER call you back either. Incompetent Management (Beatriz Matos) & an incompetent staff makes this Shake Shack a total train wreck!!
